Dark observant eyes swiftly glanced among the dense brush, looking through the foliage with an intensity that could burn down the forest around the body that gently glided through. Those piercing eyes seemed relaxed however, and instead were searching for anything interesting through the opinion of the observer instead of wishing or having any contempt toward her current surroundings. Her light colored paws padded softly making hardly a sound as they lifted and fell again while she moved, mimicking a slippery fish more so than a large mammal. It was every so often that she would pause. Abital perked her ears forward before allowing them to swivel back listening to the different sounds of the forest through her short break, still more so just to help her hone in on the noises rather than have them muffled out with the tap of paw on leaf.

Nothing seemed to disturb her. Regardless, it wasn't caution that drove her but instead something else. An eagerness, a longing to find something and treasure it, to take it and make it hers and no one else’s. But no such blessing seemed to befall her so simply. In fact, her precious key was with her now as she walked, reflecting the light that pooled through the forest through the branches above like a beacon of light that would guide her. Luckily it faded as she slipped into the shade, aiding her stealth.

But as she traveled it seemed nothing would slack her lust. Nothing so interesting popped up to quench the thirst that so cruelly parched her throat and instead left her begging for some small scrap, a tiny piece of something that could aid that horrible voracity of hers. But that was her nature and she would not be satisfied...her vice was, after all, the dangerous sin of greed.

User Image Dharma too was curious today. It had been longsince he had seen hide or hair of another of his kind, and though usually that was how he preferred it, today he felt different. Perhaps it was how the morning rays shining into his little overhanging of a cave seemed to laugh at him, gliting so brightly and cheerily. Or maybe it was the morning birds' song, so peppy when they all sang together. He'd scoffed at them at the time, but now they came back to him, and he sighed with mild frustration.

He wasn't good at being social.

Or rather, he wasn't good at being social for extended periods. He was a kind enough fellow, he thought. Strong and upright and proper...nevermind that he became bored quickly, and had a burning tongue that had sent most of his encounters all to hell. Well maybe today would be different. If anyone was around that was. Few came through his area of the woods these days.

As keen as her senses were, it was some time before she realized a new scent lined the ground about her paws and lingered in various places surrounding her in the dense forest. Pausing she contemplated her mistake, realizing that for a second her focused wavered away drifting off into imagination rather than anchoring down to help her search for something valuable. Now she landed herself in another wolf's territory, usually a costly mistake for a teenage girl from a different pack. All the same, her hackles were raised but a cocky self confidence allowed her to continue.

Abital was not a social creature either; it was safe to say their meeting would be interesting when neither would instigate much into conversation.

The touch her her pads stopped as her tail danced in the air. Her stance took on not a dominant expression, but instead a message that she wouldn't tolerate any overbearing or condescending to her, though she wasn't sure if this message had gotten across to the wolf her gold eyes were now locked upon. Dharma was a magnificent creature, one of few wolves she had come across that had immediately stolen her breath. Being a collector of shinny beautiful things, he was the embodiment of a living treasure to the she-wolf which sparkled in her eyes. But a wolf was so much more different than a coin. This creature had the potential to kill her and had a personality of his own...she needed to take this into consideration.

But how to approach? What could she say to the strange wolf? The key in her mouth swayed back and forth on its thin string, still clutched in the off chance Dharma would steal the paranoid female's treasure even when she realized that was a slim chance.

"Who are you, FlameBearer?" she asked Dharma softly.

The corner of Dharma's lip twitched as he gazed ahead into the lush forest growth. Of all the days for his wishes to be granted...I should have wished myself a king, or to never want of food again, rather than for company... He jested with himself. Well a wish was a wish, and if some cosmic force deigned to answer it he could do nothing but oblige the response. It would be rude, after all.

He watched the female from the corner of his eye, tail not stiff, but not swinging free either. This was his land, he was confident, but it would not do to put one's guests on edge. First impressions after all. An ear cocked towards her as she spoke, and his lip quivered again. It seemed he was bent on keeping his emotions hidden, even if he did think her rather silly looking, holding tight to her treasure and trying to talk around it.

"I believe courtesy requires the guest to give their name first, my lady," He mused, turning to face the female more directly. "Regardless, my lady SerpentSide, my given name is Dharma." He offered up a rather charming smile, his posture shifting to state he had full intentions of extending the chance encounter to its fullest. Company was rare, why waste it when it came searching?

Those sharp eyes of hers whipped about the length of the larger wolf, watching with a keen gaze every move, every word, and every breath taken taking in all she could gather from the stranger as he gave her a name. A small nod followed expression she had caught as well as memorized the title for the time being before her attention did turn to the fact she had failed at giving her own.

"Abital, my name is Abital," she replied around the key, holding it gingerly. It was a silly sight but a perfect expression of her personality as well. Formalities had never been a strong point for the sheltered wolf who had been born within a pack and for the most part grew up around those she needed to know the names, so now that she was out in the "real world" as some would call it, the teen understood how ignorant she was.

It was that brief moment of silence that she took the time to observe her surroundings. Dharma's scent stuck to the surrounding atmosphere, alerting her to this being his territory, and she wondered what his premise was on her trespassing on his property. Abital declined to ask. The key shifted in her jaw as a sticky tongue moved it aside, forcing it to poke out from the left side rather than the front as previous, giving her an even more amusing expression while the rest of her position seemed oddly placid. Her tail had never lowered, but the she-wolf behaved a little more relaxed.

Now it seemed her job to start conversation, if he wanted any, but as she stood she realized she had nothing to say except to compliment him on his luscious pelt. It was what first attracted the kleptomaniac to the stranger and still held her fascination. "Your coat is as though it is studded with a hundred precious stones, FlameBearer...quite unique indeed."

Dharma grimaced at being called flamebearer again. Did he really look like he was on fire? He would wonder about that later..."I can assure you they are not stones though. That would be quite uncomfortable when one wanted to lay down, I should think." He quipped. A sudden itch struck him and he bent around to let one hind paw reach his neck. He scratched vigorously for a moment and then shook himself, righting his mussed fur.

It had been long indeed since anyone had passed this way, let alone one not fully fledged as an adult. "So...whatbrings such a traveller through my patch of the forest?" He asked, settling back on his haunches. He wasn't about to threaten her right out--she'd done nothing but wander unknowingly into his place--buthe was curious. Few visitors meant litle news. Subconsciously he had to wonder what was going on beyond his borders.

Abital had not meant his coat appeared to be aflame, burning consistently on its own, but instead the markings along his fur reminded the she-wolf of the sticks humans carried often that held a dim tongue of flame at the top which often flickered from their den sites. They were intriguing, as intriguing as the strange articulate wolf before her. Shifting on her paws, she relaxed a bit. As he took a moment to relieve himself in her presence, Abital became a little less tense, less threatened, and softened around the male while her sharp eyes played the role of scout.

His question was reasonable enough and her answer came swiftly. "I search for a treasure. One I cannot name nor have yet to know it's whereabouts. But I search nonetheless for anything and everything that catches my eye." A pause ensued as she thought, twitching her tail. If it was news he sought he would not find it from the narrow minded adolescent; her mind was often caught within her own imaginative wanderings finding glimmering objects to occupy her interest.

"You've caught my eye."
