Its late, but I just wanted to lay down some first thoughts on this to back of MoC
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling Phillipians 2:12
Christ learned obedience through what He suffered. Hebrews 5:8
Narrow is the gate that leads to life, and few find it Matt 7:13-14
James 2:12 Blessed are those who persevere under trial, because when they have stood the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Our christian lives should be dependent on Christ, not our circumstances. I still whine to God when I get a tougher trial than I think I can handle. But that is God tempering me, raising me, strengthening me, and sanctifiying me. God in love is parenting me, shaping me into a mature christian by grace.
