O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr sat in the warm water of the wading pool, watching his new son be introduced to the water. However, the boy could not go into the deeper part of the wading pool, as he had the unfortunate discover that hooves made horrible swimming instruments and the boy simply couldn't swim properly. He looked down at his blue swimming trunks, then looked at the other. He was in a rush, and got the boy a pair of light green swimming trunks with little cartoon dinosaurs called yoshis on them.
He sighed happily, hair wet. He smiled as he watched the boy. He had not been in the kiddy pool for a long time, it was relaxing to simply sit in the watcher ans watch his son play with rubber duckies, ships and the like.Slythor was busy playing in the warm water, laughing happily as he simply paddled around, teaching himself how to swim with his hooves. He wasn't very good at it, but he could float. He was currently playing sea monsters with boats, roaring playfully and knocking the unfortunate rubber floaters with a wall of water made my his hands. He snuck up to his father while the male was taking a daydream ,splashing into the other's face. They were soon having a playful water fight.

Adriel had never seen a pool before. And by his mothers description he thought it would resmble a very large bath tub. He himself couldn't understand the fun of being in a large bathtub. His opinion soon changed as they entered the swimming area.
HIs large brown eyes widened as...he took in the sights. This...was a pool? He suddenly felt very shy, tucking himself behind his mothers leg out of habit. This room was HUGE. And there were a lot of people. Even three was too many for Adriel. It overwhelmed him.
"Mama...I don't think this is a good idea." He murmured clutching as her bare leg, his tentacles eagerly clinging onto her leg as well using Adriel's fear as an excuse for the touching.
Jayoku sighed the red head could barely make out forms with her glasses off. She hated being blind at times and whens he felt her son grasp onto her and plead to go she only looked down and petted his head.
"This will be good for you Adriel. Every child should know how to swim." She explained for the nine millionth time. Taking his hand she pried him off her leg and then led him towards a shallow kiddie pool. There was someone there. She couldn't make them out entirely well, but at least she knew Adriel could at least make some friends. He certianly needed them.
"B..but mom..there are people there.." Adriel whispered in fear, it wasn't that he was against meeting new people, he just was terrified his tentacles would do something bad.
"Adriel this is good, now get into the water and get use to it then we will move on okay?" Jayoku offered slipping into the warm kiddie pool water and sitting down in it. Now left alone Adriel only had two choices, remain standing ..alone..or join his mother and the other two in the pool.
He quickly joined his mother. He looked over tot he pair that were splashing each other, they looked like they were having fun. HIs attention though was drawn to the younger boy. He...he was different. Just like..him. Well..not exactly like him. BUt he certianly was different. He didn't noticed one of his tentacles reaching out of the water like some horrid sea monster and approach like a steathly shark towards one of the floating boats.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr noticed the two and sat beside the woman. "Hello, I'm Zephyr. I've noticed your child is... quite strange. Did you get him from a lab by any chance? My child's name is Slythor." He smiled gently. He wanted to be kind and nice to the other, not wanting her to be frightened of a strange man talking to her. That sounded quite insane, but he's known women to yell at him for greeting them.Slythor half paddled, half ran over to the other two, overjoyed at the prospect of new playmates. He splashed at them happily. He giggled and splashed the little one. "Let's play!" He laughed.

Adriel watched as the small boy paddeled awkwardly towards him. He shifted back a bit until he felt a foot at the base of his back his mother was keeping him from retreating. So instead he faced the young boy and offered a shy smile. Taking a hand out of the water he gave a timid wave.
Play? He wanted to play? He was never sure if that was a good or bad idea...but out of the corner of his eye he noticed his left tentacle reach out and wrap around the toy boat dramatically and then pull it under the wading pools surface. He wasn't so sure this was a good idea.
Jayoku noticed the man right away and flashed him a smile once she was sure that her son couldn't retreat anymore.
"Ah I was about to ask you the very same series of questions. I am Jayoku, and yes I did get him from a lab his name is Adriel." She responded with a chuckle.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr smiled. "Is that right? The one with the sins and vitues?" He asked simply, smiling all the while in an obviously friendly manner. He would rather not offend a potential friend. "So, what're you doing here? I wanted to introduce Slythor to the pool, to wear him out a bit before we get home. He has too much energy for the carpet, and I'm afraid at the rate he's at I'll have to get a new one in a month." He joked.Slythor laughed as he watchesd the tentacle. He grbbed it with one hand and stared at it. "That's so cool!" He grinned, and placed boats all over and splashed at Adriel again. "Let's play monsters together!" He invited, roaring dramatically to slam his fist into the water, sending boats into the deadly mini-sea. At least it was one way to get his pridefulness out.

The red head nodded her curls bouncing around her oval face. "Yeah...they weren't very friendly..poor Adriel..they had him in a dress...I thought he was a she for a while." She explained her voice low as she didn't want Adriel to know she was speaking about him.
"I know what you mean. Adriel is very quiet it if just his tentacles that ..misbehave. Breaking things..drawing on the walls.. the boy just doesn't have much control over those things." She continued sliding a bit closer to the man so they could talk easier.
Adriel smiled again shyly a bit embarrassed at being invited to play 'monster' of all things. His tentacles however were having a lot of fun. The left one started to 'dramatically' sink ships instantly it took the right side a moment before it finally joined in.
Adriel himself felt a bit awkward playing this game. Was it only because he had tentacles the boy invited him to play? He did say they were cool... he was a bit torn.
"u..uh..my name is Adriel.." He whispered though he wasn't sure if the other boy would be able to hear him with all the splashing going on.

Zephyr smiled and noticed when she pulled close. He simply smiled and pretended not to notice. "Oh, really? Well... Slythor isn't as easy to mistake for his gender. After all, nearly nothing fits him. I had to hire a tailor to find clothing for him. Its good I have another way of getting income that is much more reliable. How about you? Taking care of such a child is expensive after all. I worry for the children..." He trailed off, reflecting over his worried of how Slythor would react to school, or playing with normal children and such.Slythor's mind was not on the future, but in the present. "Ok Adriel! Let's play, let's play!" He growled and attacked the other, his one wing fluttered dramatically ad he roared and splashed the other happily. The lifeguard gave the two children odd looks, then went back to guarding.

Jayoku thought on it and her own personal experiences with butchering holes into new clothes for those extra limbs of Adriel's. She gave a healf hearted sigh on that subject.
"I alter all the clothes for Adriel, but I suppose it is easy to just cut holes into the sides of shirts. It must be much more difficult for your son." She murmured and then wondered what exactly this man did for extra income.
"I work as a graphic designer, so luckily I can work from home and nowt have to worry about leaving Adriel alone. I do have to wonder what the company expects of us. I love Adriel but...I would never send him back there.."
Adriel gave the boy another awkward smile, this kid seemed to only have one thing in mind. And that was playing. As long as he kept his tentacles distracted everything should be alright...right?
Moving a big closer he reached out with a hand and grabbed hold of a ship and started making motor sounds, he wasn't so interested in destroying boats but playing with them was fun. He would leave to destroying to his tentacles.
"Oh no! THere are monsters in the water!" Adriel cried out comically though is voice was still very quiet.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr nodded sagely. "I have to agree. They didn't seem to want them much. The scientist I got Slythor from just plopped him in my arms. That's interesting. I work as a social worker actually, for a homeschool network. I get a surprising amount of money for helping kids." He smiled happily. "Cutting holes? Hm, that's interesting. I wish it was that easy. I'm just glad I don't need to give him horseshoes, just need him trimmed." Slythor gasped as the tentacles sank the ships, laughing at the other acted like the victims of their attacks. "Roar!" He laughed and slammed boat after beat, they slowly popped up again only to be knocked down.

Jayoku listened as Zephyr described how much work went into getting his child ready she felt bad complaining about the trials she went through. His job sounded interesting though.
"Yes...I was never good at sewing but I have been picking it up slowly more out of necessity." She replied with a sigh.
"I got a letter from the staff...saying they need to have Adriel meet one of his 'parents'.....I am ...a bit worried on that."
Adriel had to admit after a while anyway that he was starting to have fun. He didn't like being referred to as a monster but he knew that Slythor wasn't thinking he was the monster...just pretending to be one.
He couldn't bring himself to roar though, loud sounds from him didn't usually happen. But he smiled and giggeled as the boy played. He was glad to have met a new friend.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr smiled gently. "Yes I'd be worried as well. Adriel seems to be of a kind sort. Though what effect would it have on the child if met with a demon as such a tender age? Maybe you should go with the virtue first, so there shouldn't be a problem." He smiled gently at the other, trying to help out. Slythor grinned and tackled the other, moster after monster. "Rawr!! I'm gonna hurt you!!" He playfully spoke, grabbing the tentacle and growled, biting the tentacle gently.

Jayoku nodded her head thinking that may be the best choice she had. Go with the virtue first so not to scare the poor child. She wondered just what parent would let the child meet the demon first.. Though she supposed it depended on the child.
"I...that would be the best choice of action I suppose." She thought on the virtue trying to recal the name of the celestial Adriel was part of. "I ..think he is part liberality..." She murmured trying to remember what she had read on the papers she had been given.
Adriel's eyes widened as as in surprised as the little boy grabbed a tentacle and chewed on it. It wasn't that it hurt exactly...but his tentacle certianly hadn't been expecting it and tried to jerk back as it felt teeth p***k the skin. The other tentacle reached forward to wrap around the boys arm to drag him closer to Adriel.
The grip was tight,not enough to to cause bruising but certianly enough to be firm enough to cause some worry.
"ah..stop that!" Adriel cried out to his tentacle, Slythor wasn't really hurting him, but the other tentacle was acting as if this was a life or death situation.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Zephyr smiled and continued talking with the other. "Liberality? That sounds nice. Slythor's virtue is patience, but his sin is prise. Sadly pride and wrath as well as humility and patience are very close with each other. I worry for the boy's mental health. What are they trying to do, putting two opposites in a child?" He asked, the question speaking about all the children that are part sin and part virtue.Slythor growled playfully Sure, it hurt, but he didn't really care. It was a game after all, the other was probably playing along. He grinned and gnawed at the tentacle holding him. "Rawr!" He laughed happily as he did so, seemingly unaware of the fact it was tight.

Jayoku nodded her head though she was still feeling the gnawing in the pit of her stomach when she worried. She wasn't even sure why she was worrying in the first place. Adriel was calm and collective though extremely shy at times. His tentacles were often the ones that misbehaved not Adriel so she guessed she should be lucky for that.
"I am not sure what the goal is for this establishment. Or what they are trying to prove. I just hope that the children are taken care of...and not hurt in any way." Her mind roamed onto subjects she wished would stay in the background. What if the scientists were trying horrible tests on the kids? Perhaps that would explain why Adriel's eyes would widen in fear if she ever drifted onto the subject of the facility.....
Adriel was trying to keep his calm, he had to make sure his tentacles didn't hurt Slythor. He was older after all....he couldn't let his tentacles bully the younger boy just because they were a bit afraid. But still regardless of how unsure he was he batted at his limb that was pulling Slythor towards him.
"S..Stop that!" He said trying to sound firm and calm. Though the stutter gave away his nervousness. The other tentacle wriggled trying to get away from the teeth still gnawing lightly on him. It didn't hurt, in fact it more tickled than hurt and maybe that was why it was trying to hard to get away.
One could say it took a while for either pain or tickling to reach Adriel's sensor's in his brain when it came to his tentacles. It was like they reacted first before the message traveled to him. Now he was giggling. Cause it did indeed tickle.
"S..st...st...stop that...it..it..t..tick..tickles..!" He managed to gasp out.

O U R A D V E N T U R E Slythor let go quickly, blinking. His confusion soon grew into a large grin and he literally jumped the other, tickling the other male. He had an almost maniacal grin on his face. He could do this all day. "Call uncle! Say you lose!" He laughed happily, but its innocence resonance started to dissipate to something much more disturbing. He didn't know of it, but he was letting his more prideful side come out, always wanting to know they were better in any way, and willing to do anything available to prove the other was a submissive little worm that they should recognize themselves as, with he has superior. Zephyr noticed and smiled at Jaykou. "Maybe we should work together one day to figure out why... wait a moment please." He forced a smile at her once more as he went to pull his child away from the other with shocking quickness. "Son, no. That's wrong. If you're not going play nice I am not allowing you to play at all." He spoke forcefully, taking the other's arm and dragging the child to his side for a time out.Slythor whimpered when the other scolded him and he obediently followed, hugging his knees to his chest to think about what he had done wrong, as he was instructed to do in time-outs.
