Thoughts on the latest episode? (:

I haven't actually seen it yet myself - I live in America and I don't get the sci fi channel so I'm downloading it right now, but I'll have seen it by tonight. XD

I just finished watching it. I like how Martha and Donna kind of get along a tiny bit instead of it being really strained. I'm happy for Martha to have gotten over the Doctor and is getting married. I haven't actually seen Sontarans before (not that far with the classic series) and I think they're a bit strange, not as bad as the Slitheen though.

I'm kind of new into it so I watched the first whole seasons straight in a couple weeks, so it's been wierd having to wait each week, and the 'to be continued' episodes are the worst! I can't wait for next week to see the conclusion!

very good.
i think helen raynor did an amazing job in bringing the Sontarans back to life.
and i loved all those little moments like~
'how do you tell each other apart' and 'if only it was possible' 'no, if only it were possible'
xD
this by far has been the best episode for a while.

What an awesome episode! I completely forgot it was a two-parter and freaked out when it ended with Donna's Grampa in the car. I'm pretty sure they'll save him, causes hes cool and awesome!

I am really loving Donna, and I am sooooo happy that shes not another love interest for the doctor! She is so kick a** and funny and a good companion, shes useful!

I'm happy that Donna and Martha are getting along, they would though, cause they both rock! And I am also happy Martha got over the doctor and is getting married, right on Martha! But woah Martha clone!

I like the Sontarans, they're cool, but I heard they were good guys in the old series (I could be mistaken). I like that they are warriors and that the only reason for bringing war on earth is for the sake of war not cause they want to like take over and breed and populate and so forth.

Um...yeah..oo i wonder if Martha will mention Captain Jack, she should...like say "Hey I just visited Jack and he has a cute boyfriend..." ..or something

I was rather worried when I first heard that Helen Raynor would be writing the Sontaran episodes, because I didn't like her episodes from last season.

I thought the episode was brilliant.

@JackLantern: I thought the same thing. "Why doesn't he just sonic the window like he did in Doomsday?"

My favorite line was when the Doctor was so excited about visiting the place filled with geniuses because he gets lonely sometimes. blaugh

I'm guessing that's exactly what they're going to end up doing. But they needed to leave it off on the cliffhanger for the two-parter.

I, too, thought the bit where Donna was having the flashbacks was kinda silly. Just not enough material to do that yet, since she had only had the three episodes. It just felt so manufactured because of it.

But I still liked a lot about this episode. Donna flying the Tardis, Martha and Donna getting along right away... Good stuff.

Um..about the sonic thing on the window...when the Doctor was trapped in a vehicle with ATMOS, everything was deadlocked. I could be wrong but wouldn't it be the same in Donna's vehicle? Can he still hammer the window though or would it be indestructible?

Hard to say. Does deadlocking just make locking mechanisms completely un-openable or does it also do something to materials to make them impenetrable as well?

Both the sonic screwdriver and deadlocking are plot devices to be defined how the writers need them to be defined, so it's not really clear.

They need to have something to create tension. So, the deadlock was created so that the sonic is limited.

After the episode, I said, "That is one confused kid."
A friend responded, "No, he's a kid with a Napolian kick."

The cliff hanger left me pretty angry. "Arrgh. What happens next???" There some funny little parts too.

"A talkin' potato head..."
"Hey, don't be rude. To them you look like pink weasels."

If it doesn't make you feel stressed, feel a desire to throttle the writer, and want to see how it's resolved, then it's not a good cliff hanger.
