Teeth grit as fingers ran down skin and muscle. By Lorth! Was the entire world against him today? He woke late earning extra laps around the field that made him late for breakfast. Which caused him to be more focus on his half filled stomach then classes and now Men sprained his right arm! Jysayne hissed as the healer worked wrapping up the limb tightly as he held it bent. He was right handed!
And he had a date! He didn't want to be late meeting up with Shi'n and now he probably be late and high on pain killers. A sigh of relief escaped him as the healer stopped manhandling the injure limb letting him tuck it in the sling. Jyses wiggled his fingers before wincing slightly. Damn mentor.
He left to his room slowly, working out of the loose black and stained clothing into a lighter pair of clothing. A pair of loose easily to pull on gray pants. The light white shirt was harder to struggle into. He so wasn't wearing a kimono! To much weight and layers. And he wanted Shi'n to see him in something besides the multi color garments. Thank the god his hair was still braid from the work out..though it has become messy.
Jyses tucked the small pill bottle into his pocket and walked back down heading towards the rock he was suppose to meet Shi'n at. Hopefully the other would still be there.

Shi'n in all honestly haddn't noticed the time, he was settled quite happily on top of the large rock where he spent a fair amount of whatever free time he managed to scrounge, well, when he wasn't out bothering Kalan, or tormenting Bel at any rate, here was a good place to avoid being told to do anything by Arach or Ariadne, and also a very good place to avoid being kicked by Illiam, the prissy drow was far too fond of his nails to go scrambling around on rocks just for the pleasure of beating on Shi'n.
He had a couple of things with him, including his own over-sed surface goggles, and a second set of them, no, he wasn't taking Jyses upstairs, but he had them with him none the less, there was a small black bag beside him as well which seemed to have a few oddly shaped things in it, and something more brightly coloured flopped on his legs.
If Jyses was late it didn't seem to be bothering him any as he was quite happily staring up at the ceiling, looking around, watching a couple of salamanders scuttled aruond the pool, grinning at some of the stranger elements of cave life and other such things to pass the time as he sat and stared blankly around him.
He wasn't sure how today had ended up as it had.. but the long run was that it had, and that was how it was going to stay, he was taking Jyssie on a date.. whatever that really was.. he figured it was supposed to be something slightly romantic from what he'd managed to get Bel to tell him, he'd have to ask Kalan at some point... that might help.

Jyses walked slowly mostly to work out the slightly ache and pains of pratice that the medication didn't numb. The cave was familair and peaceful soothing out ruffled annoyances of the day. If it hadn't been his right arm well he'll just have to get use to depending on his left for now to it healed.
He paused looking at the large rock, waving his good arm. "Shi'n! Did I keep you waiting?" Jyses eyed the rock and decided he wasn't going to climb up it. Lips twitched in amusement wondering if Shi'n would recongize him out of a kimono or dress as the other like to call it.

Shi'n looked up at the vioce he knew to be Jyses, but he wasn't greeted with what he expected to see, no colourful robe or anything to the like, just, oddly plain clothing. Oh well, it wasn't like it bothered him or anything,
"S'okay!" He called out, pushing himself easily to his feet, grabbing the colourful item he had been holding as well as the black bag and scrambling down the rock in a rather ungainly , but very swift manner.
Once he reached the bottem he flicked the bag over his shoulder and looked over at Jyses,
"Jyssie..? No dressy for you today? And a funny arm thing.. what happened to it?" He tipped his head to the side and peered at his friend, he hoped he was okay, it was quite a long walk to what he wanted to show him.. they wouldn't be disturbed by anyone else there, he knew that for certain, it wasn't a place that most drow really wanted to go.

"No, kimonos to difficult to change into. I sprained it in training with my mentor."Jyses eyed the sling before wiggling his fingers of that hand to show Shi'n everything was fine. "I have my pain medications and I bought my medication with me." He tugged the little bottle out shaking it before tucking it back into the sleeves.
"Where are we going?" He asked looking at Shi'n. "I hope you don't have me scaling up cliffs. It's kind of impossible at the moment."

Shi'n bobbed his head around to signify he at least vaguely understood what he was being told, and then shook his head again just as energetically.
"No no, no cliffs, the walks mostly flat, but long.. well, kinda.. about.. I dunno.. not that far but not that close.." he shrugged,
"Worth it though Jyssie, its pretty.." he nodded,
"Not telling you where we're going though, surprise! Its got to be.." he grinned happily, evidently rather pleased with what he'd come in with, and obviously also rather excited at getting to show his friend something.
"Hope it didn't hurt too much, If Jyssie needs any help today I'll help.." he nodded again, lifting a hand to gently pat Jyses on the shoulder,
"Jyssie looks different not in the dress.. oh! I.. uh.. I think I was meant to bring you a gifty.. so uh.. I got you this.." With a slightly awkward gesture as he was obviously not entirely sure he was doing the right thing Shi'n held out a hand, offering Jyses what anyone from the surface would know was an Iris, a large ish purple flower with petals shot with yellow..
"I went upstairs to get it.. Jyssie said he liked purple..."

Jyses let a slow breath out at that. No cliffs, a flat but long walk he could handle. "I can handle that." It might hurt a little bit but it wouldn't be to difficult.
"Thanks Shi'n, but I would have need help to get into them. And explain where I was going." Explaining to his mentor he was going on a date would be difficult. He smiled watching Shi'n move with such engry and eagerness. "IF I need help..I'll tell you."
Rose amber eyes widen slightly in shock before he reached out with his good hand taking the large flowers. He sniffed the sweet scent, fingers running over the flower. "Yes..I do like purple, thank you Shi'n."

"Is'okay!" Shi'n stated again, still obviously in quite a boisterous mood, he had been sitting still for quite a while up on the rock, so it was no small wonder that he was totally full of beans again now, but at least he wasn't annoying Jyses like he usually did to Kalan.
"Okay, you tell me.." He stated, nodding again and lifting a hand to point to the entrance to a tunnel,
"We go that way." he stated, smiling again, brushing his fingers through the long side of his hair,
"It shouldn't take too long.. if Jyssie gets tired we can take a break though.." he grinned happily once more and stepped a little away from Jyses and towards the cave,
"Lots of salamanders live down here." he looked quite happy,
"I walked the drider down here once, I think he liked it.." he chuckled in an amused way,
"C'mon then!" He lead the way into the tunnel.

Jyses slipped the flower behind one ear, working the stem into his hair. He couldn't very much keep a hold of it the whole walk. He smiled thinking of the flower, a bright splash of color in his hair.
"Mm," Jyses said following Shi'n towards the cave. Salamanders where good..the fact that Shi'n walk a drider down their was a little..worrying about the others stat of mind. A drider was not a dog. "I'm coming," he said walking carefully with his carefully wrapped feet.

It was a fairly long walk that followed, Shi'n hadn't been lying there, but it wasn't as long as it could have been, and the terrain was relatively easy to walk on. Every now and then there was a startles noise as a salamander was set scuttling out of their way with its flamey tail held up in the air, but other than that there was very little in the way of disturbances.
When Shi'n finally started to slowly down and look away they'd probably been walking for about a half hour, and the air around them was a little fresher than it had been back by the pool, also a tiny bit lighter...
With a grin on his face Shi'n turned to Jyses and tugged the pair of goggles he wore up on his head down over his mismatched eyes, the other pair he had brought along were in his hand now, the hand he was holding out to Jyses.
"Jyssie needs to put these on.." he stated with a smile.

He worshiped the terrain under his bare feet. It was easy enough that he kept up with Shi'n and caught glimpses of slamander as they where distured with their firey tails in the air shinning like little becons. He muttered a word of relief as Shi'n slowed. His arm ached from the walk, not badly but enough to annoy him.
"We are going up?" He questioned taking the goggles, running his fingers over the straps. "..Can you help me put these on? Bit difficult one handed.."

"Nope," Shi'n stated, stepping closer to Jyses,
"Not going up, but there is more light, it'll hurt your eyes if you don't keep them safe.." carefully, with movements that seemed almost alien in their dexterity Shi'n very carefully set the goggles over Jyses eyes, adjusted the straps so that they would sit there without being too tight, it was strange for him to be so neat, so careful, not at all bumbling and clumsy. His job was serious though.. it was one thing he knew very well.
"There.." he stated, smiling slightly and catching hold of Jyses's good hand, holding it fairly loosely, but not lose enough just to drop it,
"This way," He stated,
"The goggles will feel weird until its a little lighter, step carefully.." with easy, confident steps now Shi'n lead the way around a final corner where a brightly glowing crack in the rock showed, with the goggles protecting their delicate eyes, Shi'n lead the other drow to, and through the crack and into an amazing cavern.
It was quite small, taller then Shi'n by about half his height again, and about nine feet by about seven, not large at all, but beautiful. The ceiling was covered by hanging crystals of amythist, hanging in points down towards them. Somewhere up above was a crack that went up to the surface for a beam of light shone down, filling the stones with its bright light..
"There.. purple..." he stated,
"And surface light.. nasty stuff, but it makes the stone pretty.."

"Thanks," Jyses whispered as the goggles where set over senstive eyes, feeling the others steady fingers adjust and settle till the goggles felt well..right for a better term. Not to tight or loose. It was quite different to see though the goggles lense it changed the view.
His good left hand closed about the other drow's in a careful manner as he followed once again. 'A crack, and so blinding,' he thought faintly as he slipped after Shi'n and froze.
Oooh...
It was beautiful. He looked up, and up watching the stones, in all shades of purple even ones as dark as the flower now in his hair glittler in the light. "...It's wonderful."

Shi'n looked rather pleased with Jyses reaction to the little cavern. He'd found it a while ago when he'd been walking the drider and they'd gone chasing a salamander. The poor creature had been dazzled by it, but in turn so had Shi'n and his leggy companion.
He'd been here equipped with his goggles a couple of times before more out of curiosity than anything, but he'd never thought of a use for this pocket of pretty light until now.
"I'm glad you like it Jyssie.." he stated, I thought you might like to have some food here.. with the purple stones.. they're pretty.. reminded me of you.." that said he moved over to a flat topped boulder that had evidently fallen in some quake a long while ago and began unpacking things from the bag he had been carrying.

Jyses sat down on the floor of the carvan content for the moment to soak in the light and watch the stones sparkle above his head. "How did you think of this?" He aked looking back watching Shi'n unpack for a moment before his eyes went back to the stones. He was getting rather used to being called pretty from the other drow. And the nick name Jyssie instead of Jysanye or Jyses. Or Kai..a small shiver went though his shoulders, eyes looking at the wraped arm. Can't forget that...
"What are you unpacking?"
