Does anyone else have a problem with shorts in the summer? my thighs rub together and get red. its really uncomfortable. Does anyone else have this problem? I wear bermuda shorts because of it, but sometimes because of the way they're cut, I look like i'm wearing guys pants. I want to wear shorter-ish shorts. Anyone have advice for the thigh issues?

Ok, this is semi related to this I used to have problems with things rubbing together a lot, never gonna say what or where, but I can tell you that baby powder does wonders. Just put a little on, it's like flower when cooking, things just won't stick together if properly powdered... heh, maybe this'll help.

I hear people say baby powder all the time...
Am I like the only person who doesn't want to smell like baby powder? Like, to me that's like "Hey, look at me guys! I'm fat" so I hate the smell of it.
Paranoid much? Yeah, I am.
Also, I haven't figured out anything... but wearing shorts when running/walking is frustrating when you have to keep pulling them down, but it's too hot to wear pants -_-

That's ok, I never wear shorts, and I've only started wearing skirts 'cause I've bought some leggings.

Honestly she looked great in them, and you can cover baby powders smell pretty east. I'm still surprised I talked her into wearing a pair of daisy duke cut offs... it was a freaking thong made of denim! eek

Just like I hate shopping in the plus-size section at work because it's right across from the juniors, which I'm pretty positive they did in order to make fat women feel horrible about themselves compared to young, skinny girls.
I love shorts, and I would wear them all the time. I may be egotistical, but I think I have great legs, other than I have fat thighs. Actually, I've been told my legs are smaller than you would expect with my body, but I digress... my legs are mostly muscle, the only real fat on them is my inner thighs... which I hate 'cause that's why they rub together, I'd much rather have it on my outer thighs, lol. But even then, I don't mind my thighs being slightly fat, other than it physically is uncomfortable for how active I am... even if I lost weight, I don't remember a time when my thighs didn't rub together, I'm pretty sure my thighs are always going to be too big and rub together no matter my size.
Just to show what I'm talking about... my inner thighs are really thick.
Man, check out all that muscle.
Erm, those shorts flare out in back >>;;;; But they were all I had around.
Also, my feet probably look disgusting, but I just got back from a walk so they're sore, and then I pumiced the crap out of them.

I haven't worn shorts in years, excluding when forced to for P.E. I have that problem when wearing skirts and dresses, though.
Now, I haven't personally tried it, but one of my friends swears that rubbing a bit of gel deodorant on the inner thighs solves the rubbing problem. Not sure how practical that would be for shorts, though.

In the directors commentary they said it wasn't deodorant, but was designed to prevent chafing.
Maybe at track stores they have something like this? I never go to running stores, so I'm not sure, lol.

I never wear shorts unless I'm in a bathing suit. I don't feel comfortable wearing shorts half the time and that rubbing thighs thing is soo true. Baby powder doesn't seem to work for me and I got made fun a lot because my Mom would make me wear it as a kid so I refuse to put baby powder on. I just wear jeans or capris half the time. Capris and I have become great friends.

as for powders... try just a scent free talcum powder or... shower to shower in different scents. You don't have to use baby powder smile
