Recently, or perhaps not so recently, retired Brett Favre will be on the cover of Madden '09.
"Madden NFL Football and Brett Favre are sports icons who have set the standard and revolutionalized their positions within their respective genres," said Madden NFL Executive Producer Dale Jackson. "Brett Favre is a perfect fit for the Madden NFL 09 cover, as he epitomizes everything the franchise has stood for the past 20 years - longevity, excellence, and a love of football."
Thoughts and stuff.
I think if he stays retired, he might get hit by a car or slip or something.
He did say he might want to return though... Eh... Who knows? I sure hope nothing happens though. Lol.

Well the Madden curse won't effect Favre's football playing career, because I don't think he'll ever return to the NFL. Good choice for the cover, but I don't think the curse will be valid in this case.

I think the curse Pre-Effected Favre. I mean he did throw a int on the first play of the NFC title game in the playoffs, and then lost. I mean who knows, he was probbaly chosen already by then and they didnt let the word get out, we may never know.
An interesting fact for those of you keeping score at home, Brett Favre is th efirst White player to grace the cover of Madden ever!

Good choice for the cover, but I don't think the curse will be valid in this case. the curse is getting hurt. but is it getting hurt in football or just in general its not only injuries, usually the player starts out aving a bad year, and then get sinjured, so stats and injuries go along with this...

I think Jeff Garcia should be on th ecover of madden, espically i fthe bucs win the superbowl, which i think they will do in th enext 5 years. 9and no i'm not just saying that because i'm a bucs fan i mean look every year they get great talent, either from the draft or free agency.) Well th ecurse still hurt LT, i mean the chargers started off bad, and LT got hurt in the AFC Title game, and didnt go to the superbowl. I'm gonna start a petition called "Garcia for Madden Cover 2010! lol
