So, Washingtonians.... With all this crazy weather we've been having - What are your thoughts on Global Warming? Care to share any news about what will happen to us in the next few years?
Me, Global Warming is killing me. Being a bit of a "Tree Hugger", I think about the future of my kids - that I have yet to have - and their uncertain future in a world polluted and disgusting that we'll all have to be trapped in a giant bubble of doom... Even though I'll be dead, I'll worry about my children and their children and the future they face because of the mistakes the generation of our mother and fathers have left for us to attend too. I'm a bit scared about our future... how uncertain it has become.
What do you all think?

6 years of study and my opinion of the now is that the earth goes through cycles.
Are we getting warmer? Mm, slightly. When it snows in Baghdad and India, it's time to take a doubletake.
Is it man made? No. Unless you speak about Urban heat islands. Those are man made, but it's not warm because of atmospheric reasons. It's warm because the concrete and buildings trap the heat.
Will we go into an ice age? Maybe a mini one, but that won't be for a long while.
I'm not saying we shouldn't cut our emissions and polluting. We should definitely stop polluting for health reasons, not for the global warming scam.

With more technology in this world than we can handle, I'm positive that we humans have brought this up on ourself and the planet. Carbon emissions, air pollution from factories and buildings - you can't just say the earth is just going through cycles.

I've been on both sides of the global warming issue, arguing for both sides, actually. The charts that you were shown were probably the hockeystick graphs (which have been proven wrong over and over again). There's good and bad things this global warming issue have brought up. The good being people are starting to care more for the environment and less pollution is a good thing regardless of whether it messes with the climate or not. The bad being it has come a political movement designed to give governments a reason to steal land, clamp down on small to medium sized business, subsidize corn and cause famine (already happening), and experiment with very unnatural genetic-manipulated produce. [ One of the greatest evil I've SEEN done is the unnatural GMO produce. Companies market GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) as a "green" alternative, because planting GMOs farmers can use "less" pesticides/herbicides. However there is a huge scam with this. The gene added to corn, wheat, canola and other plants is one that makes the plant unaffected by the herbicide known as "Round-Up" , and to make the gene work they have to add another gene called the cauliflower mosaic virus. What this virus does is make the round-up gene more potent. Whatever this CMV latches onto, it makes it potent and grow at accelerated speeds (imagine if it latched onto cancer tissue). But that isn't even the worst part. Round-up ready produce does use less pesticide/herbicide. However, it's only marketed for round-up. So farmers must use round-up.. Round-up kills everything. As opposed to other pesticides that kill just insects, or natural pesticides and deterrents. Round-up kills the soil, and kills other plants. So the only thing left alive is.... The GMO produce. Also, this 'environmentally friendly' GMO produce is PATENTED by Monsanto and Round-Up. If it's on your field without permission.. You get sued. ] Global warming paranoia is leading to massive starvation. How? Corn is going to ethanol production. But I admit... This isn't the only factor leading to the coming global starvation crisis (high oil prices, china and population plays a big role). You can find a similar graph above here: http://www.sovereignty.net/p/clim/wc98-1web.htm Yes the above is pretty much a bland website with no sources, so I will give you this: http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=theme&themeId=4 Also, Doomsday Called Off and other documentaries you can find on Google video. I can't sit here all night writing about each and every factor that makes me say global warming is a myth, so I request you research it yourself. If you choose to think global warming is real I'll still support that reasoning but please do not fall for one of the MANY MANY MANY scams out there. Such as "green" labeling (there's virtually no regulation on that label. anyone can stick it on). Or perhaps the big "lets give the UN power to regulate our countries and what we do so we can fight this GLOBAL issue" ********. If you want to be truly good to the environment: plant native trees and bushes, buy from your local farmers and local stores, pick up trash on a roadside, research money trails, research backgrounds of your "green" or "natural" products, etc.
