Yep I fail at thread titles. XD The pack's lands had been boring again. Arawn didn't really hang around the other members as much as the leader Yin, and he was just itching to be out in some sunlight again for some daytime hunting. Since nothing was really going on within the pack to cause him to second guess a short hunting trip outside, he easily makes the decision to slip out of the forever-dark lands to hunt for some different prey.
Letting the sunlight soak into his fur for the first time in several moons he stretches out, scenting around for anything of interest.

Salvia stretched her raven wings lazily in the shade of a large tree as she lie comfortably beneath it. She peered out of the darkness at the field before her, the wisps of smoke that ever surrounded her drifting out into the light of the sun slowly, perfumed with the scent of tea leaves. The goddess fidgeted with her sleeves, somewhat bored. She flicked her tail, sending more smoky tendrils crawling out of the darkness into the sun. The scents about her shifted to a more severe smell, though it was not unpleasant.

Arawn claws into a tree from the itch to do something before continuing on his way through the trees and patches of sun. his ears twitch in search of the faintest sound for him to hunt, finding nothing but leaves and twigs moving in the wind. But his nose catches something different than the usual green smell, finally. Pausing for a second to determine the direction it was coming from he turns to start silently stalking after the source.

Her lids drooped slightly as she listened. She took a deep breath, completely unhindered by the myriad scents around her. A wry grin played about her face and she closed her eyes entirely. The incense around her changed to that of roses, tinged with faint pheromones. She'd smelled a male. This could be an interesting day, indeed. Her eyes eased open and peered out from the darkness as she relaxed and waited.

The scents changed, now that was interesting. The wind hadn't shifted any so the reason was beyond him. On the one hand, the scent buried in the earthy aroma had been vaguely familiar, in the way that all of his kind were familiar. Interesting indeed. Stalking silently closer he detects something else in the scents, but he can't quite place it yet.
A few steps more and he can see some sort of cloth beyond a tree, a sleeve? So this was where it was coming from?

She stood slowly, stretching lazily. She could smell the male nearer now and she smiled to herself. She wouldn't wound his ego by letting on she knew he was there. Instead, she chose to move out into the open where he might see her better. The aromas around her grew stronger, more enticing. She was bored and wanted to meet whatever creature had happened upon her. She was tired of solitude and welcomed whatever may come. She walked smoothly and slowly into the sun, blinking against the light as she stepped out of the shadows.

Arawn pauses in his tracks when the female comes into sight ahead. Well, it seemed she hadn't seen him yet so he keeps stalking silently closer to her and the scent. Absently he takes notice of the tendrils of smoke riding from her ears and tail. "What would a female be doing out in these trees all alone?"

She flicked her tail absently, strengthening her aura of smells and sending more black smoke filtering out into the air around her. She tossed her flowing hair also and stretched in the sun. She fluttered her raven wings as she squinted in the light. She was used to the cover of darkness, but the sun wasn't so bad really. She took a few more casual steps and bent to examine a flower, wondering why the male hadn't come to her yet. She strengthened the pheromones in her incense, trying to entice the male to come closer.

The hunter idly wonders why he hadn't been noticed yet by the female ahead of him as he continues to slowly stalk her direction. Maybe she was colorblind to not have noticed his stark contrast to the greens and browns of the trees around them, or simply hadn't looked that direction yet. Either way he steadily edges closer and sniffs the air at the subtle change in scents again.

She chuckled under her breath as the male edged closer. She decided to end the game and called out, "I know you're there, you might as well stop stalking me." She turned to face him, her eyes narrowed against the light. The heavily scented smoke snaked across the ground, reaching the male and twisting up his legs to his face. She wanted to overwhelm him with the distracting and seductive smells.

He stops in his track, watching her carefully now that she announced he had in fact not been as stealthy as he would usually have preferred. His tail flicks behind him absently as he takes note of the scents becoming stronger. "If you knew my presence why act as if you hadn't? You bloat a hunter's ego."

She shrugged and smiled. She could see this was no mere ulaya, but a fellow god. How interesting. "A hunter?" Her voice was soft and seductive. She took a few steps towards him. "I was thought I was toying with a mere male." She chuckled and looked him up and down. "So you are a fellow god, that much I can tell. In that case, I will introduce myself. I am Salvia, Goddess of Incense." She gave him a curt bow and righted herself, watching him.

Shaking his mane out a little he gives a mock look of insult. "Mere male, I could be insulted. But ow that you have given your name, the scents surrounding you make sense. I am Arawn, God of Hunting." He takes a step back to bow slightly in return, the little chains attached to his horns jingling. "The pleasure to meet you lady Salvia, is mine."

A wry smile spread across her face. "Well, as I said, I had assumed I was toying with a mere male. You certainly do not fit that description." She regarded him a moment more. "Hunting, huh? How exhilarating." She paused, thinking back on something another god had told her. "You aren't by chance... the brother to one Kuragari?" She cocked her head at him, looking at him with more intensity.

He watches her closely, noting the smokes of whatever was causing the scent rising from her ears absently. "The hunt is more exhilarating than you would imagine." He smirks fangedly thinking about hunting before her question snaps him back from his musing. "Kuragari, yes he is my brother. You have met?"
