We're all fans here, so I think you all know about the things you have to sacrifice to join this organization. So would you do it? Would you question your parents about a sound you heard outside? Would you be willing to join a group of intelligent people and never see your family again?

I don't know about the never being able to see my parents part... I might be a sucker but I don't think I could deal with that part, otherwise yes I'd defenitely join. 3nodding

I think it would be fun. You get to wear all sorts of fun disguises and make up secret codes. And be very, very well-read. Sounds great to me! mrgreen

heehee312 Hang on... I'm really confused! I used to think that VFD was good, but didn't they try to kidnap Lemony? They kidnap their new recruits ("when we grab you by the ankles.."), but I beleive it's with the permission of the parents. Technically, yes they did kidnap Lemony. And his siblings too.

The wedding bells ring. I wouldn't join VFD for the sheer fact that it would take up a lot of time. It sounds cool, VFD, I mean, but I'm not sure. I can't take sounds outside of my window. Sorry, but I'm too ding dang cool. Ring-a-ling.

I got my friend Laura a few of the books for her birthday one years since I know she likes to read [or at least I thought she did at the time...]. Well, I tried to send her a note in Sebald code. She didn't understand a word of it. I later found out she hadn't even bother scanning the books because she's too obsessed with TV to care about any book she isn't getting graded for. I haven't tried to use any codes with her since and I haven't wasted perfectly good SoUE books on her either I would join if they'd have me, but I doubt they'd want me since I'm not the brightest and my mom would never agree to let them take me

You should have let us guess what words were in it but you did a grwat job with it.
