Honestly, the stallion didn't really care.

He had stopped caring about things around him a long time ago, ever since he had been orphaned and separated from his only friend. The loner was disinterested with other horses; chatting with them was only a way to pass his time.

Standing before the ocean, he stood still even as the waves lapped at the front silver hooves of Reikon Taberu, staring out to the sky as the sun set. It was a beautiful scene created from nature. As a foal, he had always been in awe of the changing hues of the sky. He wasn't as innocent as before, but he still liked staring at the shifting colors as the sun set and rose.

Adaya made her way down to the beach. She had been told that the sunsets were the best on the beach but she had never believed it. She stood there in awe as she watched the sun glistening off of the waters surface for a while before stepping forward into the waves lapping against the shores. She gave a soft sigh and smiled as she watched. She had come late, and already darkness was consuming the sky as the sun fell below the horizon.

Adaya gave a snort of frustration and turned to leave only to spy a male standing not too far away. She glared at him, envious that he was lucky enough to watch the entire thing.

A small ear cocked in the direction of hoof beats, alerting him of another's arrival. He remained in the position he was standing, not even turning to look in curiosity, only lifting up a hoof to shake the salty droplets that had clung onto the dark red hairs, blue eyes still fixated on the sky even as it darkened.

It was only when she snorted when he turned, his head swiveling slowly, instead of jerking backwards like others would have. An eyebrow raised in curiosity as he spotted the blue mare, only turning back to watching the tides, his long mane fluttering gently in the ocean's breeze.

Adaya flicked her tail in annoyance. "Was it all that great?" She called out to the male as he turned to watch what few rays that lingered. She was irritated that she hadn't reached the beech in time, and she was determined that if she couldn't have seen it she would have the male tell her about it.

He snorted, not bothering to turn to look at her. "Why do you come down to watch it when you don't think it's 'all that great'?" He quoted her words, a small smirk upon his lips as he did so.

"What you think it may be and what it actually is is two different things. Something you expect to be poor may be great and something expected to be great may be poor." Adaya retorted.

"You can see the setting of the sun everyday." He said, unaffected by her tone, the smirk remaining on his face. "And if you seen it before, and thought of it as a poor sight...What makes you think it would be any grander here?" To him, she was arguing, for the sake of saying she was right. But he didn't feel that way.

"No sun set or sun rise is ever the same. It can be made grander or have it's beauty marred by the scenery that surrounds it. The transition from day to night or night to day can be quick, not giving time for the golden rays to dance across the sky. Or they can be slow and alluring, the colors shifting tones and hues majestically as if part of some great recital." Adaya Offered. The male was making assumptions about her thoughts... A stupid thing to do she though.

"While that is true." He replied, undaunted by the female's retort. "The transition from day to night, or vice versa, are similar, in a sense. The colors fade to dark as the sun sets over the horizon, bringing the night and the appearance of the moon. The beginning of the day brings light. Perhaps it's because you look too much into it." His words had been influenced by that of his father. Although all sunsets and sunrises may seemed different, ultimately they were the same. Like how soquili were. Their appearance, their personalities had different quirks, but they were all still of the same kind.

He had said it, the first words out of his mouth; that what she said was true. "So you admit that seeing one is not seeing all, seeing as to how they are not the same, but only similar?" The male contradicted himself idly. "Perhaps you don't look enough into it." Adaya said sullenly.

True, he did not exactly specify which part of her speech he thought was true. It was not necessary, such trivial details. "If you have seen as many as I have, perhaps you will understand." Ever since his parents had died, it was a daily habit of him to watch the sunset and the sunrise, signifying the beginning and end of a day.

"Perhaps so. Perhaps it's you that look too much into it."

Adaya understood well enough, she probably had seen as many as he, and every one, every one had been different. "Perhaps so. Perhaps it is you who don't look enough into it." She could repeat the phrase as long as he could, that was simple. Oh how this male seemed simple.

"You simply watch the rise and set because some odd nature drives you to, dont you, nothing more. You don't watch it out of admiration or enjoyment. To you it is an endless ritual, an obligation. You only see it go up and down each day, nothing more right?" Adaya snorted. "It's a sad day indeed when such shallow eyes gaze upon beauty and say it is all the same."

He merely shook his head, not wanting to repeat such trival, meaningless details that she didn't seem to mind saying again, for the sake of argument itself.

"So you expect me to continue this endless banter on with you just because you were unfortunate enough not to catch the sight." Blue eyes gleamed, almost eerily, as darkness fell.

"Was it I who started the banter? I simply asked a question. A question it seems was too hard for you to answer." Adaya said softly.

"A question with a hidden meaning, perhaps?" He raised an eyebrow. "Such defiance for a lady." It reminded him of how stubborn his childhood friend always was.
