The sun was in full view as the morning slipped to afternoon, not a cloud in the sky to disturb the view of the burning star. The lands, lush and green, had been warmed, the grass the perfect temperature to just doze off in it, which was exactly what Eirian had chosen to do.
The large gray stallion was sprawled out in the middle of the meadow, a calm smile on his face. Black mane fanned out around his head and neck, a sheen of sweat covering his body. It was a wonderful day, true, but also rather hot. Eirian snorted, sitting up hazily, sleep still clouding his brain. He had to get into some shade, before his brain fried. He wandered toward some trees, ears welcoming the farmiliar sounds of a river, from which he drank greedily.

 Raina was just chilling out today; she had taken her part in sun bathing and boy was she enjoying it. Her pale eyes fell to a male that happened to be wandering through. She tilted her head curiously as she watched him chug the water down. She let a smile spread across her face; he looked funny when he did it. Her tail swung behind her as she flipped it back and fourth as if imitating a lion. Her ears flickered as she whickered softly to the male. He had pretty colors, much like her…grey with little markings. His wings intrigued her because it looked as if they had been painted on. Her brow rose as she watched analyzing just a tad.

"Hm?" Eirian's blue eyes glanced around, surprised. Curved gray ears flicked curiously, raising his head as he spotted the light gray mare not too far off. He smiled, a bit self-concious at his sweaty appearance as opposed to her silky look. "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you or anything." He apologized innocently, flicking black bangs out of his eyes to see her better.

"No, no startled." she smiled pleasantly. She wasn't good at saying 't' words so she happened to try and not use them as much as others. "Drink often?" she asked with a slight smirk. She was teasing but in a friendly manner.

Eirian chuckled, blue eyes glittering playfully. "I've found drinking is the best way to begin conversations with beautiful mares." His smirk matched hers as he teased back, eyebrow arched slightly.

"Oooh," she watched him. "Not nice to poke fun like that." she didn't think he was serious when he called her beautiful. It wasn't something she often heard. Her light eyes watched him as she got to her feet and swung her lion-like tail behind her.

Oh, he had certainly not been joking about the beautiful mares part. He found her quite appealing, with her lion like tail and intricate designs. He bowed low, pale blue eyes looking up at her. "My sincerest apologies, Miss...?"

"Raina." she responded simply as she walked toward the stallion. She looked to his wings again, still two dimensional she didn't get it. "What's your name?" she asked polietly with a sincere face.

"Pleasure to meet you, Raina." Eirian smiled, a bit amused as she looked at his 'wings'. "The name's Eirian, and no, they're not real unfortunately." He sighed, looking almost sad for a moment. He shrugged, the easy-going smile returning to his face once more. "So. You out here by yourself to enjoy the sunshine?"

"You too." she replied. Her brows furrowed, before one rising as she looked at him. "No, they aren't real." she replied. "Yes, went for a walk and I liked this place soooo...I took a break." she smiled softly.
