  Umo was lounging with his lifelong friend Ripuka at his side. As Umo slept, his side rose up and down rythmatically. Umo was known for being a rather sleepy fellow and it was not unusual for his famiy members to find him in this position. On his side, legs stretched out-he snored deeply. Ripuka had nestled himself amisdt Umo's mane. The dark males nose was healed fully now... just a pink scar- a reminder of his son Tope... of his latest batch of childrens-older brother. He didn't know how Kika did it-looking young as ever and here he was-a geiser almost.
He shifted in his sleep. After the disapperance of his granddaughter Ukoo-he had been extra adament at keeping an eye on his growing brood. But... now sleep tackled him hard-and his red eyes were shut in dreams.
Ripuka had snuggled into Umo's mane just before he lay down to sleep. He tucked his pale legs under his fluffy body, nestled in Umo's deep mane. He rather liked his friends fuzz-served as a good nest. Too bad him and Maksuia couldn't make their nest there for the future kittens. He stared about with his olive eyes blinking. Since the cubs were growing-he was less prone to hiding. Those little children enjoyed playing with him to much... but now they were past that age... and he was relaxed more... not that he complained before.
He started to groom himself atop the dark Umo. He lifted his back leg and began to groom his pale belly-tail wrapping around him like a scarf.

The boy was bored.
It was more than a little apparent really and the young male seeked to rectify that quickly, he could've gone and teased one of his siblings, but he wasn't feeling in that sort of mood...so it would be better to go bother one of his parents.
Taka was a strange young male, had strange tastes and got into a lot of trouble without fully realising it till the last second.
So one could only wonder what he would be up too today!
That was when he heard his fathers light snores.
The juvenille tentatively made his way closer, his dad always slept nowadays, he seemed so lazy to him, but that was his opinion and dad did work hard to look after the family.
As he looked over the large lump of dark fur with his bright little familiar nestled into his mane, the juvenille smirked before raising himself to put his paws on his fathers side.
"Dad?" He started. "Dad! Dad wake up!"

Umo was dreaming about his Mate Kika and some weird waterfall or something when he was shaken from his dreams by his son. He sat upwards quickly, sending the Genet scrambling from his sleeping spot with a grumble. Umo yawned, peeking out with a crimson eye to see who it was. He smiled, stretching his front paws with another yawn.
"Taka my boy... is that anyway to wake an old lion up?" He asked in his deep baratone voice. He noted how grown Taka seemed but came to the conclusion it was simply the sleep in his mind obscuring what he already knew he. He lifted his head and gave the air a good sniff-before turning to Ripuka...
"Goodmorning Ripuka..." He said with a smile.
Ripuka dreamnt he had been courting Makisai when he was startled awake by a moving bed. He squeeked as he was sent tumbling off from Umo-falling head over heels. He landed with his tail over his face-snorting and squeeking in his anger. "Eih... Mornin' Mornin' to ye' Umo.. and ye Taka... Wakin' up moi wiff such' distaste..." He grumbled, standing up and giving his pale fur a shake.
He sat down and began to groom himself with the occasional grumble or two

Taka couldn't hide the snicker as he watched his father sit up like some insect had stung him in the backside, it was then did he see the little genet that always accompanied his dad and proceeded to playfully stalk the tiny creature.
However his stalking was halted as his father spoke and he momentarily looked up at him with his soft red eyes, tip of his tail twitching from side to side before he sat himself up straight.
"Not my fault you're such an 'eavy sleeper, dad." He said with a sly smile on his face as he sat there next to his father's little friend.
"Besides, today's borin'."

Umo yawned again, trying to wake up enough to pay attention to his boy. He smiled down at him, amazing at how the cubs were growing already. It just seemed like yesterday that Kika and he had Kinamasi. He sighed, reminding himself of his age. He was getting old. "Eih, Heavy sleeping comes with the package of being old my son." He said, his baritone voice sleepy. He reached down with a paw to pick up Ripuka-putting him on his head where he knew the Genet enjoyed staying.
"I know Taka... Soon we will trek to the Pridelands... I do not know when-but then-you may find someone that will entertain you. Perhaps even a female to fall in love with." He said, a sly smile on his face. He wasn't sure how Taka was taking to some of the feelings he may be experiancing. Tope was his age when he met his little female friend. "But who knows where the spirits will carry us."
Ripuka wondered to himself if staying on the ground was a good idea. Cubs tended to grab him up and smother him in their 'love'. Ardhi used to gnaw on his tail till it stuck up straight. He didn't mind it all that bad though-but he'd never admit that.
He sighed when Umo picked him up and put him upon his head. He prefered to be higher up than on the ground-for some reason. He nestled down atop Umo's head, his paws hanging over Umo's forehead. He gazed down at Taka and without a moments notice-said.
"Boy... Taka' ye been growin' like a weed." He pointed out.
