Carys got out of the cab, handed some cash over to the man behind the wheel, and then headed towards the front steps in front of the museum to wait for the Fae. They had agreed to meet here in front of the place. There was a small crowd of people already here, all dressed up in a formal way as he was. He smoothed his hands over his suit, getting rid of some invisible wrinkles and flicked away invisible dust. He looked down at his hands, wishing for a moment that he had worn his fingerless gloves but at least the sleeves of his coat was long.
He knew that Paroparo didn't mind what he was but at the same time he wasn't a fan of showing off his tells to just people that he didn't know. Not everyone would be as kind as the Fae was.
The half dragon's dual colored eyes were scanning the crowd, trying to pick out the purple hair of the Fae though he hadn't spotted him yet. He shifted back and forth in place, feeling his nerves trying to get a hold of him. There was a moment where he started to worry, maybe the Fae had decided against this? Decided not to come here after all? He shook his head to shake free the idea from his mind. No, no. They had seemed to do alright as far as dates went, he shouldn't have worry about this. He was sure that the Fae was on his way.
He just had to be patient, had to wait and the Fae would arrive.

Paro knew he was running late, he hated being late it was the worst feeling ever. That sinking sensation in the pit of your stomach knowing that someone was waiting on you. He ...had a valid reason for being late, he couldn't decide what to wear! He had choosen his outfit the day previous and then last minute changed his mind. Throwing off his clothes in his hurry he promptly put on a much more colorful outfit rather than the suit he had choosen before.
It was a womans pant suit this time, white with pink striping down the hemline of the jacket. He had to fix his hair in a rush otherwise he would be even more late! He was lucky that his brother had agreed to drop him off. Driving tended to make him more nervous and stressed out.
Usa only watched his brother and shook his head. "Come on already...he would of left you behind at this rate." He teased and only earned a glare from his younger sibling.
"Alright! Now where is my camera??" Paro whined trying to remember where he had put it down. Finally spotting it he snatched it up, as well his keys and a couple chocolate bars he tucked into his.. 'man purse'.
"Lets go then.." Paro grumbeled at his brother.
***
Ignoring his brother's teasing he exited the vehicle in a rush his face beat red. He clutched his purse to his chest as he looked around. There were...a LOT of people here...how was he going to find his date?

Carys was watching each member of the crowd, going from person to person to person to try to find the particular one that he was waiting for. He lifted up his hand to check the time for the millionth time though the hands really hadn't moved at all. It just felt as if time were dragging by. It was rather like that whole saying about watching a pot of water. The more you watched it the less likely it was the water would boil. So the more he checked his watch, the more he looked around like an expectant pup the longer it was going to seem like it was taking Paroparo.
He should really just find a way of distracting himself. He looked around before giving a sound of delight as he found just that distraction. He moved quickly over to where there was a small table set up that had brochures set out for people to read over about this new exhibit. What it contained, how long it was staying for, all the details he already knew but could reread over to keep his mind from running circles around itself.
After getting his papers he was moving to return to the spot he'd chosen to wait at for the Fae when he caught bright colors from the corner of his eye. He blinked, turned, and looked once more for the coloring. When he spotted it again a smile spread over his lips. Ahhh, there he was he thought to himself as he started forward through the crowd towards the Fae.

Paro was use to crowds there were quite a few people here to see the exhibit. Normally he liked large groups of people but in this case it was a pain in the butt! How was he suppose to find Carys now? Giving a pouting whimper he scanned the area trying to spot him.
If it was night he could spread his wings and fly upwards a bit but...it was broad daylight and thus he was saddened. Blinking he thought he spotted the familiar face and he tried to push his way through. Raising a hand as if in hopes the other man may see it he called out.
"Carys! I'm over here!" His voice was somewhat drowned out by the random chatter of the crowd and he was irked more. Why couldn't these people just let him threw? Didn't they know he had a date!?

Once he'd left his perch on the top of the stairs and started towards Paroparo the half dragon had lost sight of him. He continued to move through the crowd towards where he had seen him, starting to fear he was going to lose him when he heard a familiar voice calling out. It was nearly missed due to everyone else who was around him and talking but he'd been able to catch the sound. He gave a smile and started to move through the crowd that much faster.
It seemed the best motivation in the world, to hear the voice of ones date calling out to them he thought to himself as he finally broke through the crowd of people and found himself standing no more then a couple feet from the Fae.
A happy smile spread across the lips of the halfbreed as he closed the small gap, "Hello Paroparo." He greeted his date, feeling his heart skip a beat as he looked the Fae over. He'd been quite curious as to what the other would wear for this and he was pleased to find him decked out in bright colors. Again he was finding himself mentally comparing the Fae to some sort of gem.

Paro looked up to find Carys and gave a happy smile and forgetting his ....manners threw his arms around Carys, happily glomping him. So happy to see that Cary's hadn't given up waiting on him he didn't realize until he noticed he was now hugging the tall man he had only met for the second time.
Quickly he dropped his arms his face flushing in embaressment.
"Ahh....I ..I'm sorry I was late...um...nearly forgot my camera." He explained as he fumbeled inside his 'man' purse and pulled out the camera. HIs hands were shaking so much he nearly dropped it. Catching it middrop he gave a wry smile.
"uh...looks like it is busy.." he continued trying to ease pass this awkwardness he was feeling.

Carys stiffened in surprise, giving the smallest wince that he hid quickly having to fight the urge to jerk back away from the hug. He wasn't angry at Paroparo just taken off guard and not one who was really used to much in the way of physical affection passed that he got from his mother when he was much younger. A part of his mind balked at the idea of the Fae discovering what his suit hid, that being his dragon tells being the most important.
"Ahhh..." It took him a moment to get his mind working again before he finally nodded, "Thats alright, I understand how it can be to be late." He was that often if he didn't plan ahead his route to places since he walked everywhere he went.
The half dragon looked over his shoulder, towards the crowd before he gave a nod, "Yeah, its strange to see so many people. Its only when something new comes around. After the newness wears off the place is actually rather quiet." He liked it a bit better when it was quiet and there were less people crowded and he could just stand and stare at things.

Having noticed the stiffening he wondered he is had been a bit too fast in his...getting close. He himself wasn't so sure why he had lunged at the guy in a desperate need for closeness. But he felt very awkward and shy now. He nodded his head looking around vaugely trying to get past his uncomfertable feeling.
"It ..is kinda sad that people only come to see something new... doesn't the museum have all sorts of exhibits aside from the new ones? It doesn't make sense to only come to see new..stuff." He wished people didn't take advantage of such places like this. But he guessed it was the same for most galleries. People only come to see the new and exciting.

It didn't take Carys long to relax once the Fae had released him, he shouldn't have reacted like that he told himself but it had been rather surprising. After all it was only their second date... but then again according to some movies people kissed after a first date so maybe he should count himself lucky that he was only being hugged?
He looked over to the Fae and gave a nod of agreement, "It gives some people motivation to come and visit and stuff like this is needed to keep the place running." Even if it were a little foolish for people to come out only because something new was here or just for a reason to dress up all nice. He forced away the thoughts, this was a museum and a public place. As much as he liked it even thinking of it as 'his territory' was a bit foolish. There were times his dragon side's instincts could cause such problems for him when thrown into situations like this.
"Shall we make our way inside? It might be a little less crowded there since people are still mingling out here. There is going to be a speech by the director of the museum though if you'd rather wait for that?" He'd heard it many times before. How the man was so happy everyone could make it, how grateful he was, how the exhibit was amazing and once in a life time experience, etc. He could skip it himself but if the Fae wanted to stay and listen he was could too.

Honestly the fae wasn't big on speeches. The lulled him to sleep. He wished people could sing their speeches. It would be sooo much more interesting.
"Um...no thats okay. I would like to go take a look around inside. Perhaps try and avoid the crowds of people? It would be nice to be able to get a better look of things before it gets too crowded." he said with a nod of his head. HIs racing heart was finally starting to slow down. Yes yes he just had to think of other things.
"Um.. that is if unless you want to hear his speech..." He rushed not wanting to not consider his feelings.

The half dragon gave a shake of his head, "Naw, I've heard it a few times already myself." He assured him, looking around to pick out the best path to take to get them from where they were to where they wanted to be. Normally a straight line would be best only were they to do that they might get separated in the crowd unless... He looked down at one of his hands for a moment.
He could do this he told himself as he turned to look at Paroparo and offered the Fae his hand. This way he would have hold of the Fae and they could make their way through the crowd without worrying about losing one another. What was the worst thing that could happen. Instantly his mind answered with the worst was the Fae seeing the scaling on the back of his he hand... or feel it... He already didn't like the idea but given the hand was already offered he couldn't jerk it back. He could only hope that it didn't gross his date out.

Paro looked to the hand as if it was the tastiest looking treat offered to him. His eyes were large and filled with a emotion certianly marked as happiness. He shyly took the proffered hand too happy to notice anything strange or out of sorts.
"Well..lead the way then!" He said with a gleeful sound. He was glad they were getting to miss the boring speech. He would of liked to get closer to Carys but he had a strong suspicsion that...Carys wouldn't enjoy such close contact. And that he was lucky he was getting to hold his hand at all.
He wondered breifly if this was something Carys just didn't enjoy. Close contact....or maybe just cause they hardly knew each other. He was thinking the latter. It made more sense.

Carys shifted them so that Paroparo was somewhat behind him as he started to make his way through the crowd. This way it was easier to find places where one could go through and the spaces Carys made would allow for the Fae to follow after before the space closed as people shifted. It didn't take to long before they had made their way from point a to point b which was the top of the stairs.
The half dragon gave a sigh of relief and looked to the Fae, "Alright, we made it." He said with a bit of a smile on his lips. He wondered now how to get his hand back, the Fae seemed... rather happy about holding it and taking it back wasn't an option without looking rude... so he allowed the contact to remain as he led the way inside.
The atmosphere inside was much different then outside, it was relaxed, quiet, and the place had high ceilings and few people. The dragon prefer where they were now to where they had been, "Anything in particular you want to see first?" He asked, knowing the inside of the museum like he knew his own apartment having been here so often.

Paroparo continued to hold the mans had oblivious to the discomfort of just holdings hands to the man beside him. Using his free hand he tucked a curled peice of hair behind one of his elf like ears. He looked around his big blue eyes taking in the sights and colors.
Having a question poised at him, he turned his head to look at Carys blankly a moment. He got to choose? Now...he had only been to the museum a couple times before. What exihibits hadn't he seen in a while? Besides the new one of course.
"Um...can we see...the ancient stuff? Like Greece? And Egypt?" he inquired as he had a love for the old things. So much more magical than the current day.

Carys gave a smile and a nod as he turned to lead the way to where the nearest of those two were at, "I rather like the Egyptian exhibit that they have here." He murmured. The half dragon's eyes widened a little as they went into that area then seemed to shine in delight. He did his best to resist but he couldn't help but stare. The kings of that country were buried with only the finest of treasures, treasures that would tempt any dragon no matter how good they were trying to be.
He did his best to break gaze away from the glass protected treasures and gave his attention to the Fae, "They have such amazing finery don't they?" He murmured.
