She sat alone at one of the small tables inside the shop, looking too large for her chair and completely out of place in attire that was neither pink, girly, or frilly. But she was completely and utterly happy, sipping tea from the small cup and read her paper. She came here at least once a week, to sit by herself and drink tea, to relax and watch all the cute couples come in, mostly students from Hogwarts. To date she'd never come in here with an actual man, appearing just to enjoy the atmosphere and at times grinning quietly to herself.
Madame Puddifoot's was perhaps the only place she did not take her trademark beater's bat, since she'd be likely to accidentally smash all the delicate china and pretty decorations.
Despite the chair being too small, it was quite poofy and fluffy and comfortable, and Ivanna wiggled around slightly, her knees knocking against the table and making it wobble, and then settled down to read her paper, like she always did.

Obviously uncomfortable, Kaira Oughton sat in Madam Puddifoot's with some boy that she had never met before. Her parents, keen on making her into some sort of lady, set her up on a date and forced her go to. Before they let her leave, however, she had to ditch her "loathsome" drag outfit, and instead wear a white dress with mary janes. They even made her wear lipstick, and she wasn't allowed to spike her hair! Oh, the humanity. Thankfully, she managed to slip out of there with her earrings still in.
The boy kept on talking, mostly about himself. It was really quite boring. She nodded wordlessly, slipping off her bracelet and fiddling with it in her hands. Every once in a while she took a sip of tea (no milk or sugar, the only way she could stand it) and pretended to look interested. She wished she didn't have to go through this.
Kaira glanced at the clock. Only 10 more painful minutes to go. That was the agreement. She felt the time would never come.

Ivanna giggled at something she read in the paper, and made quite a bit of noise folding it over and raising it up to look closer at whatever was causing her amusement. She then proceeded to let out a loud snort, but slapped her hand to her mouth cover it so quickly that the chair started to fall backwards.
The paper fell to the floor as she flailed her arms, her knees coming up to knock into the underside of the table, and the tea she'd just set down tipping over, flowing onto the floor.
With a grunt of effort and at the expense of a few decorative streamers, she managed to get all four legs of the chair back onto the ground, and immediately brought her hand up to cover her mouth in surprise as she saw all the damage.
Already a waitress was hurrying forward with her wand, but Ivanna began to babble apologies, trying to pick things up to fix it but only managing to knock things with her elbows, tipping over an empty chair, and generally flailing about and making things worse.

*jumps a bit at the noise, and is sent out of her daze* . . . Uhhh . . . right! *stands up* Well, I best be off then, right? It's been real nice talking to you, but it's time for me to go home.
*is startled when the boy grabs her arm, telling her to sit down again* Uhm . . . I've really got to go now. *tries to get out of his grasp again, frowning at the boy* Let me go.

"I, I'll pay for it, really! I'm so sorry, I really am! I.." It took her about twenty seconds to realize she was only making things worse, and then she stopped, took a deep breath, and stood back, letting the witch clean up the whole mess with a few waves of her wand. This wasn't the first time something like this had happened, Ivanna was just so awkward, all legs and elbows, that she was constantly breaking things.
Awkwardly she brought her fingers up to her mouth, not chewing on the nails but just resting them against her lips as she watched the witch put her paper to right.
She glanced around the shop, hoping she hadn't disrupted anyone's date, but most everyone who was in the shop seemed to have gone back to being as they were before her commotion.
Looking around the room, her sight fell upon a young girl and a boy, the boy whom was grabbing onto the girl's arm. Perhaps they were having an argument?
Her brows furrowed in concern as she watched them, but she looked back down at the waitress as she had tapped Ivanna on the arm, handed her her paper, and asked her if she'd like another cup of tea.
"I.. oh.. no, thank you. I..... actually I need to leave."
Ivanna glanced at her wristwatch, noting that she had practice soon. She could hang about for another twenty minutes or so, but felt it was best to leave. For this week, anyways.
"Now, where did I put..." She reached into her pockets, pulling out her wand, but kept fishing around for her money, since she hadn't yet paid for her tea. She almost knocked over a decorative vase nearby, but was being more conscious about her flailing body parts this time around.

*frowns as the boy refuses to let her go, saying that she needed to stay longer, that she couldn't leave until he gave her permission* That's a lie, my parents said I could go now. So let me go! *is rather annoyed now*

"I.. uh.. oh.. here!" She finally managed to find a galleon, and pressed it into the woman's hand. "Keep the change!"
She said this quite cheerfully, her embarrassment forgotten. But the annoyed exclamation caught her attention and she turned towards the girl and boy again.
"Hey!" She said this sharply, going from cheery and goofy to scaryfaced in an instant, walking in a menacing way up to the table. She tripped over a chair leg on the way over, but didn't let that deter her as she reached the table, raised herself up to her full height, lifted up her wand, and rapped the boy on the head with it. "What do you think you're doing?"
She rapped him on the head again for good measure, whether he'd already let go of the girl or not. She likely had just garnered a lot of attention to herself again, but didn't care. She couldn't just stand around while some little punk was manhandling this poor, sweet little girl! I mean, lookit her, all cutesied up in her dress and her little shoes. D'aaawwwww.

*dashes behind Ivanna, because the guy let go of her hand*
*can't defend herself in a dress, plus if she got blood on it from socking him in the face, her mom would be pissed* Thanks. *peeks out from behind her, and says to the boy* I'm going, and you're a creeper.
*instead, however, the boy irritably stands, pushing Ivanna's wand away, and walks out*
*she shrugs and steps out from behind Ivanna* Er . . . thank you, ma'am. *smiles sheepishly*

"You had better behave yourself young man! You should know I normally carry around a bat!"
Ivanna shook her wand angrily at him as he left, making sure he was really gone and wasn't going to get smart with her. All worked up, she took a deep breath and let it out quickly, shaking her head.
"You're welcome. You alright, sweetie?" Ivanna looked down at the girl and smiled. "Next time he bothers you, you should just pick something up and hit him over the head with it! That always works."
She nodded sharply, looking very convinced about this, as if hitting people over the head with things was the answer to all of life's problems. And indeed it could be the world's greatest unknown truth. Maybe.

Yeah. I would, but mom would get mad if I got this dress dirty.
*fidgets a bit* He was a little weird. Mom's been making me see him for a while. *scowls*
Uhm . . . I've got to get home. But thanks for your help. *smiles, waving before she leaves, rather awkwardly curt, but she's never been one for conversation*

"Anytime!"
She grinned, happy again. She was really looking forward to getting to practice and knocking some bludgers around as well.
"Well, you can call me if you want, and I'd be glad to do it for you!"
Ivanna waved goodbye to the girl, whose name she didn't get, and who likely had no clue who she was and therefore could not call her. After the girl left, Ivanna exited the shop without making any more of a fuss, and then disapparated.

*Perches with legs crossed on the edge of his chair, sipping a pink-tinted drink from a delicate porcelain teacup* ..and you? How have you been, Abygale, love?

*Shakes her head, glancing at her own cup with distaste before looking up to Circi* Besides fighting with Granger about keeping my shop open? Fine, I suppose.
