 Sunlight glinted off of gold as a winged kitsu lay sprawled out on his stomach on the forest floor. Paws stretched out infront and behind him as large dragon-like wings were spread out at his sides. One outstretched paw clutched the handle of what appeared to be a golden scepter.
His garb was nothing short of archaic, although a flowing cape covered most of him at the moment, but the golden bands around his forelegs and neck were obvious.
The male kitsu seemed to have passed out at some point, unknowing of where he was or what might be going on around him.

Tiny paws moved at a quick pace along the ground, in a hurry buzz to head home. What had that been?! All she did was whistle, a neat trick she had seen another do. Except when she had done the same thing, in the blink of an eye she had...appeared outside of home. As if she had never been there. Truth be told it was frightening! Just how the heck did she do that?!?
Shaking her head and blinking away raven locks, Celes quickened her pace. If mommy or puppy woke up and noticed her missing...well, she didn't want to think on that. So caught up in her thoughts, Celes barely caught sight of the chocolate tail before her, blending in the ground. The teen skid to a sudden stop, trying not to trip over the fur. W...what was this? Golden eyes followed the limb until she spotted the grown kitsu it belonged to.
"Eeep!" Celes scrambled to the male's shoulder, wondering if he had tripped himself and was injured. Shyly but desperately, she nudged at his shiny-adorned neck. "Sir...sir! Are you awright?!"

There was a grunt and a groan from the adult as he felt the nudge and a voice in his ear. Blue eyes blinked open, his vision blurry at first but clearing in a matter of moments.
Lifting his head, he looked around. He looked most puzzled as he saw the grasses and tall trees, the likes in which he'd never seen before. After all, he came from a desert country. "Where am I?" he asked, and then looked to the creature beside him that was wearing strange clothes. "Who are you?" Or more appropriately, what was she? Some kind of shadow monster?

Long ears quivered up as the other began to respond. Yay!......wait....
Celes skipped back a good four feet from the stranger, remembering her daddy's training of awareness around strangers. The adult may have been hurt, but now it was her job to keep on her toes. Tiny moons of eyes squinted at the male, noticing that he had blue eyes too. Like mommy....but not exactly...they were certainly different in perspective.
The young daughter stayed put with tails swishing, waiting to see what may happen. Though wary, her face betrayed no worries. Only concern for the other's wellbeing. "Hmmm?" He didn't know where he was? Gasp! Did he whistle too! "Um, we're in the back woods." That was specific enough, right?
Tiny muzzle spread in a delightful smile, twin fangs shining obviously. And long hair slid down her left shoulder as she curtsied briefly. "I'm Celes Flourite, sir. But...who might you be?"

He only stared at Celes blankly, clearly confused. Back woods? That made absolutely no sense to him. There were so many strange sights, sounds and smells. It was likely he was in an entirely different country. How did he get here?
Pushing himself up as Celes introduced herself he started his reply, "I'm..." and then he realized something was off. Looking down at himself, eyes went wide as he held up furry paws infront of his face and quickly looked the rest of himself over, "... a dog!" Flap flap... and now he looked at his back, "Holy Ra!" he had wings!
He looked back at Celes, "What is this trickery?!" He tried to stand up, only to quickly find out that trying to be bipedal wasn't working as he teetered and was forced to all fours.

Hm? The girl canted her head to one side, then the next to see just what he was staring at. Nothing but woods, and herself. So...what? Slight brows quirked as he adjusted, on the verge of standing before...
Ears fell like rocks to his baffled but loud voice, her form hunching in a small curve. Well he wasn't a dog, the silly stranger. He was a kitsu, just like herself, right? Confusion swept her at his statments of something raw and holey, and she slipped on her own tails as he raised his voice even more in her direction. "Ngh!" Tripping, Celes crashed on her rear to the floor, resting a paw fearfully across her torso to this odd situation. Would...would he harm her in his confusion? Was he angry at her?!
"I didn't do it! D;" The teen hopped to her paws and dashed in a tight circle before refacing the other, pointing sharply. "I don't even know what you are talking about!"

Blue eyes stared at Celes as she seemed to go into a bit of a panic. He frowned and sighed as she apparently was just a confused child. He was... rather confused himself. He looked at his paws again, "How can this be." Maybe it was just a dream... a very... odd... demented dream.
Again he looked himself over, noticing that he was in his usual priestly garb. Even the Millenium Rod and his Diadiankh were in his posession. "Calm down" he then finally said to the girl in an authoritative voice. After all.. he should be the one panicing right about now, he thinks. Besides.. he hadn't really introduced himself, and figured she atleast deserved that curtousy.
"I am High Priest Seto, guardian of his majesty the Pharaoh and weilder of the Millenium Rod." There.. that's who he was. Although he didn't know if that mad any sense to her or not... but either way, it was his answer.

Her paw lost its small wave of authority. Or bravery, whichever it had been. Slowly, she flexed the limb and dropped it back to rest beside her other front paw. "How...." How could what be? Was he in denial.....or even peer pressure about being a puppy animal? 8o
That was normally the case with her parents, one bothering the other about his now canine...ish, form.
Golden eyes blinked to his request of her hushing up, and her bootom lip bloomed in a pout. "Fiiiiine." She only wigged out because he had startled her. First she thought he was hurt, then he accused her of trickery. What next? Though that thought wasn't processed fast enough before the adult spoke up again. "H...high Priest Seto? That's a really long name you know." One paw flitted to her lips in thoughtful pause. Guardian of his majesty? Weilder of the millenium rod? But what was all that? She flitted her eyes quickly to the shiny stick in his paws though, wondering if that was the 'rod'.
"Umm, but sir...I mean High Priest Seto. There are no 'majesties' here, or any rods." Not that she had seen in her short life. She knew of majesties from her daddy, him often mentioning of one before she was born. And her 'mommy' used to own something like a rod. Again, neither she had ever heard or seen in these lands.

Ears flattened involuntarily at her words and he frowned. Clearly, he was not in Egypt anymore, and he heaved an impatient sigh. He looked down at the rod he was holding before pointing it at her, "What does this look like?" Dur.
Clearly though, he was not going to get any answers from this girl. Sliding the rod into his gold weave belt... although using paws was certainly very awkward, he then started to pad away. Well now.. that was certainly a bit rude, but formalities weren't his greatest concern at the moment.

"Aa....a stick. But reaaaally shiny." Obviously it was no ordinary stick. She was tempted to reach out and touch it. Feel it's texture, it's temperature. See if it held magical properties...
The teen shook her tails politely, none put off by the other's attitude. So long as it wasn't threatening, she felt secure. But she did blink when he suddenly just...left. Eh? Curiosity of youth got the best of her, and she trailed close beside him. Careful not to step on his robes or cape or tails. "W...wait! Where are you going, High Priest Seto? You don't even know where you are!" She was already getting winded, keeping up with his wider strides. Not only that, but she wasn't the best conditioned individual when it came to health.

Seto suddenly came to a stop at the girl's protests and looks back at her. "Exactly.. I intend to find out where I am." Not to mention he would see if he could find a way back and make himself... uh.. human again. This was just... very strange, and he was rather unnerved by it. Although one couldn't tell with his cool and calm demeanor.

Celes went to stop just as suddenly as Seto had, only to get her tiny paws caught in a tangle. "Oof!" With a futile wobbling, she faceplanted in the dirt, black hair whisping about her. Sighing to herself and thankful her twin hadn't witnessed that, Celes lifted small eyes back to the priest. "But I already told you. You're in the back woods of Kitsu territory." Hefting herself up, the youth began to dust off her coat. Honestly, if the stranger was just going to ignore here words she best be off home.

Yes, she had said they were in a back woods, but she didn't mention kitsu territory before. "Kitsu territory?" he asked, brows creasing in his continued confusion. "What is that?" he questioned, figuring it was perhaps some sort of country or land or some mystical place. For surely he had been bewitched. Perhaps the gods were punishing him for something or another.
Deciding he should probably exercise a bit more patience with the mere child, Seto sat himself down. Although he knew her knowledge was likely limited, "I wish to know more about this place, is there someone you know that can help me?"

Celes nodded half-heartedly. So the other was lost, and not just sputtering odd words. Giving a soft smile and tone, the girl waved one paw at their surroundings. "What does this look like?" Her face was smooth and innocent of her little replay of his words as she pointed a claw in thoughtful explaining. "This is where all us Kitsu dwell....at least I think all of us do..."
Cat-slit eyes looked up to the adult, ears falling like blades of grass behind her. He wanted to talk to someone else? "Um, I only know where my parents are right now. But I'm sure they can help you, if you have more questions?" The teen sat up, stretching tiny legs, before u-turning to march back toward HQ. "Come come~"

Seto gave the girl a flat unamused look as she used his words back on her. If she had been from his country, she would have shown him proper respect, but he wasn't in his country.. so he tolerated it. "Us kitsu? Is that what I am?" He didn't know what a Kitsu was.. but to him.. he.. they... seemed to be rather dog-like. Not unlike the pharaoh's hounds or the wild jackals.
Her parents eh? Well he supposed it would be a start. They atleast should be adult and know more about this place... and hopefully how to leave it. When she beckoned him to follow, he did.
