I constantly argue with my friends over this topic. I think the X-LAWS are essentially good, but they are slightly misguided. They see everything in black and white, but at the core they want to make the world a good place. I know a lot of people think they are bad so i was wondering what you guys thought.

Ok so i just read Shaman King Vol. 16 and i gotta say it was great! I was sad though that some of the X-LAWS were sacrificed and they didn't really achieve anything . . . I think Jeanne though is pretty powerful, might be tougher to beat than you think Chris!

I guess its all really just a matter of perspective. They thing they are right, and that's what matter to them. On the other hand, Hao thinks he is right too.

The X-Laws are extremist-good. In the sense that they are aiming to defeat evil (Hao) but are willing to use any means to do so.

Why? Is it just because they kill their enemies in cold blood? If that's the case, they are simply realistic-good. If you watch stuff like 007 and 24, the "heroes" always kill their enemies in cold blood.

I think they mean because they are willing to kill anyone who doesn't agree with their views. But they are still cool xd

Like most fantasy organizations out there, I think the X-Laws believe that they stand for a good purpose, however, lack the self-judgment, or will to criticize themselves, and therefore, only consider themselves when making decisions, which, of course, leads to the destruction or hindrance of other organizations.
There are several holes in my argument that I'm too lazy to fill, but, the argument's still there. I'm saying I don't think the X-Laws think they are evil, or that they don't intentionally malign others solely for the purpose of hurting. That is, in my opinion, what defines evil. The thing that plagues the X-Laws, then, is not evil, but ignorance.
