He knew that there was something not quite right. He could feel it even as he stalked through the grasses after the herd he had been following, waiting for one of the dumb animals to fall behind. Why was it taking so long?
He should not have come hunting today... He should have sent Chang... But no, he hadn't. He had gone himself, telling the other to come and get him if something happened... If anything happened.
Something was happening... He just knew it...

Kindo had booted him out of the little home she'd made herself and told him to find Tamba no matter what. He didn't know -why- she'd told him that but he'd bounced off after the other male. Non-mama had been serious and she'd looked like she would get angry if he didn't find her mate.
"Taaaaambaa!" He huffed as he looked around the grasslands. Why'd he have to go so far!

Finally he'd managed to get one and just at that moment he heard his name. He cursed beneath his breath, holding his prey down until it ceased moving before looking up, ears trying to catch sound again. "Follow your damned nose, Chang."

He heard something whinning off in the distance and then the sound stop. That meant at least someone was out there and maybe it was Tamba. Getting back up he headed in that direction and almost bounced when he saw the other male.
"Tamba! ... Kindo says come home, now." He grinned. "Said she'd hurt you if you didn't"

His eyes went wide for a moment before he started, turning back to glance down at his prey before looking up to the other male. "You. Drag that home." He could trust the white one to do that, at least, knowing that Chang had started to listen to him a bit more often... Which meant that he could leave him to that while racing back to his mate.
"Please be okay..." He murmured beneath his breath as he stormed through the brush.

He blinked and looked between the retreating form of Tamba and what he figured was dinner. shrugging his shoulders, figuring Tamba would take care of whatever Kindo wanted, he leaned down to grab the antelope to drag it back.

So far she was no worse for wear even if she was a bit more tired than she'd expected to be. She was thankful that the little bundle of shrubs and grass that she'd chosen to rest in was nice and tucked away from everything. Hopefully nothing else would notice what was now laying tucked up against her chest.

It took him longer to make his way back to where he'd left her than he would have liked, pulse racing as he skidded to a halt. Blood... He could smell it and that made him panic... But it wasn't the same as if something bad had happened. There was no feeling of struggle or chaos...
"Kindoro..." He murmured, slowly making his way towards her small den of grass.

".... took you long enough." She looked up from where she'd been licking one of the little bundles of fluff clean. Three little cubs, and two little boys who looked like their daddy. "You can't say they don't take after you anymore."

He looked to her for a moment before glancing down at the cubs, eyes wide with amazement at how tiny they were. He leaned in slowly, gently touching his nose to the mossy coat of the one cub before glancing up to his mate. "Three... Three this time?" He blinked before smiling as he leaned in to gently butt his head against hers.

"Mmhm." She nuzzled her head against her mate's gently. "Two little boys and a girl." She almost found it funny that the boys took after Tamba in color completely and the little girl after her. "Means you have a bit more work to do this time. extra head to keep track of."
He'd managed to drag the antelope back to the cleared space in front of Kindo's 'den' and flopped down into the dirt to rest. He could hear them but he didn't have the energy to go over and see what was going on.

"They're beautiful." He said softly as he glanced down for a moment before closing his eyes. "You're beautiful... They're all right? You are too?" So many questions and she was probably too tired to answer them all. "... Chang brought food back..."

She nodded and shifted so she could rest her head on her legs. "Tired ... i'm sure they are too." two of them had already fallen asleep again tucked up against her legs. "Did Chang catch it? Or did you?"

"I did... Just as he came to get me." He nodded slowly, leaning down to lick hear ear before glancing back at Chang. "There should be more than enough for the three of us..." Another nod as his gaze shifted back to her. "... One of these times I will be here with you when you have our cubs. I'm sorry I didn't make it back in time..."

"Oh, you know i'd bite your head off." She laughed softly. At least Chang had been able to bring it back. He was getting better at dragging meals long distances
He'd rolled onto his back eventually and let the sun warm him up as he stretched out in it. They'd come out and eat eventually and then he could eat.

"You should rest... While I give him a lecture about the cubs." He nodded slowly, leaning down to nuzzle her gently once more. "I'll make sure he leaves some of the good meat for you... And if he doesn't I'll send him out to fetch you a hare."
