THE OTHER PLACE On his nineteenth birthday, Alec Wagner was in a car accident. He was driving with two of his best friends - Janene Ruffalow and Marc Livingston - on a naturally busy highway. A car that was going the opposite direction swerved into Alec's lane. In that car were a family of four - mother, father, teenage son and daughter. Alec was the sole survivor. He was comatose for three years. He suffered countless broken bones, internal injuries and - worst of all - brain trauma. His airbag didn't deploy, and, if it hadn't been for the seatbelt, he would've been sent careening through the windshield. Instead, his head hit the glass hard, and that was the last thing he remembered. When he awoke three years later, he was told everything that had happened, although he didn't remember any of it. He barely remembered anything before the crash. Not just that day, but his entire life. But now he is writing better than ever. Short stories, poems, songs, books. He's writing them by the masses. But a secret weapon is in his arsenal. A hidden place that has no name. It is a place only Alec knows about - so he thinks. It is his place. The place from which his creativity stems - and the place where his darkest nightmares thrive. THE OTHER TIME Zachary Reynolds lives in the late nineteenth century. It is almost the year nine 1900 - the year the world is predicted to end. Naturally, Zachary does not believe in such nonsense. One day, when with his girlfriend of four years, Alisha Monroe, Zachary is lured to a fortune telling booth at a carnival. The old woman has a heavy foreign accent. Her skin is a deep tan, and wrinkles consume most of her features. She takes Zachary's hands in hers and studies them. While Zachary watches her, he feels a surge of... something. It all happens too fast for him then. There is a shriek from the crowd, an explosion, and he sees Alisha, dead on the ground. Blood cakes the left side of his face, and the gypsy's eyes and mouth are wide in terror. Then she is gone, too, and more blood coats Zachary. He is running. Running for his life. And perhaps the lives of the gypsy and Alisha, too. He is running. He doesn't know where he is anymore. He finds an abandoned building and hides inside, body racked with tears and shock. It is then he finds the other place. It is there he meets Alec Wagner, and others. It is there Alec and Zachary - and those they have met in this place - find that their lives are connected, and that together, they must stop an earth-shattering evil from taking control of both times, through the one thing they share: Tempus Median. ______________ There Are Rules For A Reason: -No excessive cursing. -No godmodding/autohitting -Romance is peachy; cybering is not. -No discrimination -PM me all profiles with the subject "Median of Time" -Have fun -Be nice; if you get into a real argument, take it to PM's. -I reserve the right to change/add rules as I see fit. ___________________________________________ This is the thing that holds up your body: Username: RP Name: RP Age: Gender: Orientation: Time Period: (What time period are you from?) Tempus Median. A place in which times and people collide. Some people may not know it at first, but in this place of thriving beauty, they are not alone. There are others that share this place. At night, it is a deadly setting, where nightmares come to life, and thrive on everything you fear. The natural beauty of the place is consumed by dark hues of deep blue and black. There are unseen things, whispering through the tall grass and the woods. During the day, this tall grass is populated with beautiful, multi-hued flowers. The trees are alive with birds that do not exist on the "normal" plane. Things are different. Peaceful. Beautiful

These are the ones who are allowed to participate in the joyously fun-ishness.Username: ThEndOfHeartache927 RP Name: Alec Wagner RP Age: Nineteen Gender: Male Orientation: A little bit of bicurious Time Period: Twenty-first century Personality: Alec is an outgoing kid. He's taking the year after high school off, taking a break from education. He's having the time of his life. That is, before he lost his two best friends. After they were killed in the car wreck, Alec is a completely different person. Quiet. Afraid to trust. Afraid of everything, really. He doesn't like to talk about himself, or his problems, but he is a very good listener. Appearance: His shaggy black hair falls just to his eyebrows, just above his dazzling green eyes. Those emerald eyes are stuck - like stones in marble - in an almost alabaster face, with sharp, handsome features. He is tall, roughly five foot ten inches, and skinny, with a little bit of muscle here and there. Bio: Alec comes from a good home. Mother, father, happily married as they were. He was a typical teenager from eigth grade to twelfth - when he grew up a bit. On his nineteenth birthday, going out to a party with his two best friends, Alec was in a car wreck, and deemed the only survivor. When he woke up three years later, he began to slip into a place he thought, at first, was a recurring dream. But it was much to realistic. He soon came to the realization it was, in fact, a real place. From here, his creativity grew and effervesed, but his nightmares became more vivid.... Other: Alec has a constant craving for chocolate and Chipotle. If he goes too long without either, he will surely die. (Note: They are not consumed simultaneously.) ______________ Username: ThEndOfHeartache927 RP Name: Zachary Reynolds RP Age: Twenty two Gender: Male Orientation: Straight Time Period: Turn of the century - 1800s to 1900s Personality: Zachary is an outgoing individual. His girlfriend's senseless murder stemmed this extrovertedness for a period of time, but within a year or so, he was back to himself. He is somewhat cocky, but underneath it all, he is very unsure of himself. Appearance: Zachary's brown hair falls straight, to his chin, and is very well-kept. His brown eyes shimmer in any given light, and they are the eyes one could fall into. He is of average hight, five foot eight inches, and lanky, with a little bit of meat on his bones. His features are soft, and very, very handsome. Bio: Zachary watched his girlfriend get murdered senselessly, as well as a gypsy, both at the same time. The blood may have come off with water and soap, but never did it come off his soul. Just before the gypsy was killed, she conducted a palm reading on Zachary. He felt a surge of something he did not understand, and only days after this, he took his first visit to Tempus Median. ____________________ Username: meganargetlam RP Name: Perily Jones RP Age: 19 Gender: female Orientation: bi Time Period: The 2010s Personality: A withdrawn and artistic person, she rarely speaks. She spends her days drawing and sketching. Every time she comes she brings a new sketch. She fancies one of the other people in the Tempus Median. Appearance: Bio: Perily was always a sweet girl. She was social and nice to everyone. At 15 she fell in love. She began to get mercilessly teased by the boy, and withdrew into herself, rejecting others in fear they'd reject her. The transformation was finalized when someone came into school with a gun and tried to shoot her and the few friends she had left. She was saved in time, but her friends died. She has blocked out the trauma from her mind, and doesn't remember anything of her teen years. No one feels it is right to tell her, and hope that she merely moves on or is relieved from her selective amnesia. ________________ Username: Anabel Sinclair RP Name: Christopher Martins RP Age: 18 Gender: Male Orientation: clueless Time Period: Twenty-first century Personality: Topher's tough guy attitude and no nonsense words belie his observant eye and analytical mind. Despite the way his words sounds, they ususall come from a careful planning and assessment of the situation. Despite his coldness and casual way of treating most people, Topher is fiercely loyal to those he cares about and protects them in every which way he can. Appearance: Bio: Topher was separated from his mother at the age of four when CPS busted her for drug possession and sent him into foster care, where it all began. It started in dreams; seeing these strange places in his sleep...only he could touch and feel and somehow it felt more real than dreams. And then he thought it was his vivid imagination when he'd suddenly step of the sidewalk and step into some grassy knoll for a few moments, only to blink and find himself surrounded by angry drivers and honking horns...the first time he truly entered this world was when trying to escape the cops from a car heist gone wrong and by then Topher knew this was no dream and he wasn't going crazy. _______________________________ Username: iTchiBerry RP Name: Risselle Le'Nette RP Age: 19 Gender: Female Orientation: Bisexual Time Period: 3010 Personality: Risselle is sly, sarcastic, and very cocky, very full of herself. But, really, she's just hiding how scared she really is of what could happen, or what might repeat itself. Appearance: Bio: Risselle was born in New New New France, 8 years before the turn of the century. It was thought that the water would run out, the plants would die, and pollution would destroy everything. Funny how wrong they were. Scientists found a way to create water, to make plants out of just a few cells, and created so much technology that humans were just there to be there, everything else was automated. But there were the terrorists. They used robots to kill, and one day, it just happened. There was an explosion in the Duvvette residence. Risselle was with her family, her friends. But then everything started to explode. She was the only one left, the one watching everything her life meant be destroyed. What was worse that the girl, her best friend, she was in love with, covered her, and Risselle felt her die, right there. She locked herself away for a long time, and discovered that when she closed her eyes, blocked everything else, she found herself in a different place. A wonderful place. Other: She secretly carries around a bunny doll. Hehehe.

Methinks This RP May Be Open?! It's always a normal-seeming day. Doesn't matter the weather, the time, anything. Because when the pull of the place is strong, I go. I can't resist going. I just simply find a quiet place, close my eyes and... let go. Let go of time, space, life. Find that place of beauty. And if the darkness is falling upon this place, I leave. I leave as soon as is humanely possible - maybe faster, because there is nothing human about this place. It's always a day like today. Clouds obscuring the sun every so often, birds chirping lazily in the nearby woods. Everything the same. But then it's like a rope is tied around my soul. As if someone is pulling the other end of that rope and trying to jerk my essence right from my body. It takes all I have to resist sometimes. Time is skewed in this place. Sometimes, it is day there while it is night here, and vice versa. An hour there could be a minute here, and vice versa. Everything is always different. Nothing the same. It's always times like these when I know I must go. When the pulling sensation becomes almost painful. I find a quiet place, and let go. Like now. I sat in my room, with the door lock, laying in a fetal position on my bed, sweat dripping down my brow, running down the back of my neck. And then a cool breeze tousels my hair, and I know I'm there. But that day was different. That day, there was someone, sitting on the stone bench by the path. This someone was caked in drying blood. I swallowed audibly, unsure of myself, whether I was afraid, or worried for this possibly poor, grief-stricken soul. "W-who are you?" I managed meekly. He looked at me with sparkling brown eyes. "My name is Zachary Reynolds," I told the apparent newcomer in monotone. "And who might you be?""A-Alec Wagner," I managed. "What are you doing here? I thought no one else came here." I smirked. "You should not be so selfish. Of course others come here. Countless others.

Perily arrived in the other world again. It wasn't her first visit, and she hoped it wouldn't be her last. She opened her sketchbook to the latest picture. It was a sketch of her sister, asleep on the couch. She smiled, and got up. She walked around for a while, enjoying the breeze. She sat down just a short distance away from the two boys, and pulled her pencils out. She turned the page and began to sketch a small bird that was picking worms out of the ground.

I heard movement behind me and whipped around. I felt the boy Zachary stand up abruptly. There was a girl, sitting in the grass, a serene expression on her face. My heartbeat slowed to a reasonable pace as I realized there was no danger. Although this place was so peaceful, it always made me slightly jumpy for some reason. "Who is she?" I asked the boy Alec, as if he would know better than myself. She didnt' seem like a threat, but right now, the hilt of my knife felt very comforting in my grip. "I have no idea," I mumbled, walking hesitantly closer. "You're the one that told me there was more than just me here." I took several more quiet steps closer. "Who're you?" I asked, quite rudely. I felt Zachary tense up behind me at the suddeness of my voice.

Perily leaped up, using her notebook as a shield. She peered around it, looking at the boys. She opened her mouth slightly, and murmured her name as if it burned her to say it, "Perily." She lowered her notebook slightly, as it seemed that the boys would most likely not attack her... hopefully.

"Perily..." I mumbled, as if rolling the name around in my mouth to get the proper taste of a certain flavor. "Interesting," I said. "Yes, quite," I snorted. "Although, I highly doubt that's the issue right now. I don't know if you people know why you're here, but I have no idea. And, quite frankly, I'm starting to think I've suffered some sort of brain damage." I scoffed. "Maybe I, too, was shot in the head, and this is some form of purgatory." "Oh, shut up," I groaned. I already didn't like this Zachary character. I saw him open his mouth, then close it. Good boy.

Perily stiffened at the word shot. Something about it made her think of... Blood seemed to spatter across her vision, she closed her eyes, covering her face with her hands. No! A voice shrieked in her head. She stood up, falling backwards in the sudden movement.

I heard Zachary mumble something that sounded like "drama queen," but I ignored him. "Are you alright?" I said, walking hesitantly towards Perily. She looked ill... as if she'd seen a ghost, for want of something that wasn't a cliche.

Before I could say anything else, I realized the sun was dropping behind the horizon - fast. Of course, I had known it was late afternoon when I arrived there, but... I couldn't risk being here at night. "We have to leave," I told both of them. Zachary was obviously a newcomer; this directon was specifically oriented towards him. "And why is that?" I sneered. I wasn't willing to listen to anything he said. The sun always dropped faster here than on the earthly plain. "Things come out at night," was all I said. The sun itself was gone now. Only leftover light illuminated the place. I heard the first stirrings of malevolent entities in the forest behind me, and the tall grass around me.

"Things?" I sneered. "Things? That's your MARVELOUS excuse for wanting us to leave this..." words failed me as I gestured about me. "This... paradise?" I huffed and turned to him. "You can stay. That's fine. I really don't care, because, quite frankly, you're an obnoxious a*****e." He rolled his eyes and turned away. I stuck my tongue out as he turned - very childish. Then I turned back to Perily. "As for the look on your face, I'm guessing you're wondering about these... things," I mumbled. "Trust me. It's better if you don't know." The sun's last rays were quickly fading, and a howl sounded from the woods behind me.
