It was a relatively normal day for the two as they hung out in the backyard together as they were apt to do on occasion. Suzu sat under the tree where his tire-swing hung from his arms crossed over his form as he just simply took a moment to relax. He was watching out across the yard as Raeanne did whatever pleased her to do at this current time.

Sure is quiet today.” The four-armed boy observed thoughtfully. It was almost too quiet.

Raeanne had been using a thin needle to fix a little tear on the soft skin at the base of her thumb when her brother started talking. She had recently grown a little bigger and in the process grew slightly more clumsy...which had been the cause to the repairs she was making now. Bandaids were not only useless to her, but they never seemed to stay on her anyway. Thinking she was being spoken too, the preteen turned and looked over her shoulder at her brother, eyeing him thoughtfully.

Then she nodded to him, standing up and dusting herself off, leaving the needle through her hand. She'd finish it later. As the living ragdoll shuffled closer to her brother she pulled her other needle out of the ground. The doll moved to sit beside her four-armed sibling, offering him a big smile through her stitched together lips.

Very Quiet. She "said" to him; Raeanne had never actually spoken a word in her entire life, but certain people who she trusted and called friends could hear her voice in the same way little kids insisted their own toys had thoughts and speech. Always has been since Da healed up. A cloth hand moved, jerking her thumb in the direction of the house. So Dee's not spazzing anymore. She made motions as if she were laughing, yet as always it was noiseless; as always however, Suzu would hear her.

Suzu pursed his lips as he sat there all four arms crossed over his chest. When he first came out he was alone. He had just sat under a tree and fell into a near meditative thought filled trance and was only vaguely aware of Raeanne coming out to join him. As always, however, Suzu was glad for her company. They had a bond of sorts that bespoke of similar origins.

He wrinkled his nose, "Yeah, that's true. She hasn't been back since.” Suzu observed quietly looking up at the sky, "If she is around, I can't sense her," not that that was particularly good or new news. It was just the way of things.

"Ah well, want to do something?"

Raeanne lifted her legs against her chest, resting her arms on her knees and her chin on her arms. Her human sized needle rested at her side. I'm glad she's gone. Rae told her sibling, a hint of distaste to her 'tone' at having to speak of the helion that had plagued their family, the same shrieking horror that tore out Pales' eye and nearly gutted him. I haven't read any brutal murders in the newspaper so...I think she's gone for good. Deep down, Raeanne had hoped that Andy, who had recently gone missing as well, had found his helion twin. She hoped that he had killed her.

Yeah! Her body shifted, her legs moving to curl under her, her hands on the ground. Lets rummage around that shed 'Mel always goes into! Raeanne's green eyes glinted with mischeif; she hadn't been to the back shed that the ram horned Tale often disappeared into, and she wanted to go see it now.

Suzu flinched lightly at the thought of reading that particular sibling's progress through murders in the newspaper. Still it was a good way as any other he supposed. Still he couldn't help agreeing, "I am glad she is gone, too." He admitted solemnly.

He watched Raeanne as she shifted positions and came up with her idea of exploring older brother’s shed. Suzu tilted his head side to side as if weighing the options. At worse they would get yelled at, Armel was never particularly violent or mean to them. "Suppose that could be alright so long as we don't break anything," the four armed boy allowed cautiously as he moved into a stand.

Raeanne giggled softly, moving to stand the second her older-but-currently-smaller brother gave his consent to the event. Her needle was already in hand and she seemed excited to go. Think Mel will get mad? Think he'd yell at us? I wonder if he's in there! The possibilities, they were endless! There were very few times Raeanne ever got excited, and those few times seemed to only happen with Suzu around. She adored her brother.

Lets go, lets go! She held a plush hand out to Suzu, though she was already turning as if ready to run towards the old shed at the back of their overgrown yard.

He reached out a hand to grasp her plush one firmly and allowed her to pull him along as they went at a brisk canter toward the shed in the back of the yard, for days either Armel or Pales would say they were going to maintain the yard better, but neither of them really take the steps required to do so at the moment.

"Don't think he's home today, Rae, but hopefully it is unlocked," he gave a cheerful laugh as he followed his sibling, "guess we could try to break in if it is locked." He said thoughtfully.

I didn't think Mel locked anything.... Raeanne mused, having never thought of a locked door blocking their way. Well, that was one thing they would think of when they got there! Yeah, I'm sure I could pick locks! Not that I've ever tried but... The spies in TV used instruments that looked like the needles and pins she used often.

They approached the shed and Raeanne got more excited about that was behind those closed doors. Her canter slowed to a walk, and then the walk stopped altoghether once they stood infront of the old shed, staring up at it. This place is so creepy... Green eyes glanced down at her four armed sibling. ...You check to see if its locked! She didn't see a padlock, but there was a keyhole...and she only had one free arm! There was no way she was letting go of his hand. Suzu had three free arms. He could check!

Suzu nodded in mild-mannered acceptance to Raeanne’s suggestion of picking the locks if there were any. The four armed boy stared up at the building with his sibling now that they were in front of it. Now it was intimidating and large and seemed to practically tower with a sort of ominous aura.

Armel never said they weren't allowed, and that was probably why the idea didn't seem to have any allure until now. Big brother was gone, so it seemed actually to be a forbidden act to be here without the ram-horned boy near by to supervise.

"Uhh...Okay," he said suddenly sounding shy and unsure. He reached out one of his extra appendages and touched the door handle, barely did he brush his fingertips against it when the door creaked open as if on its own accord.

As the door creaked open, a sort of blackness crept up behind the two Shattered. Even in the brightness of day, it seemed like two dark shadows had simply stood up of their own accord.

Even as they were still being fleshed out, the two wasted no time. They turned to each other silently, then reached out and pushed Suzu and Raeanne into the shed with hard shoves.

The sun shone bright behind them, blotting out the sight of them to the two in the shed; even as their bodies flushed with color and life, they still looked like black forms to Suzu and Raeanne.

One of them reached for the shed door, and quickly shut it. As it did so, storm clouds rolled over some of the sun overhead, making their assailants visible. A flash of a familiar smile and the glint of a familiar needle were the last things either child would see.

Four nimble hands secured the door with a nearby board of wood through the handles. Then they jammed rocks into the bottom of the door, barring any brute force exit. As he did so, the slow roll of thunder warned of an oncoming storm.

Done with his job, the being turned away from the shed and looked stoicly at his new sister, the silent ragdoll beside him. Then he looked up at his new home.

"Well, that was easy."

Naturally Suzu uttered a squeak as he stumbled forth from the shove until eventually falling upon his hands and knees stopping short with a head-on fall with the anvil that was not far from the entrance. That could have hurt ... a lot. He glanced first for Raeanne to make sure she was alright as he felt her being shoved along side him.

The door shut causing him to start and look back toward the now closed door and he heard a murmur of a voice that sounded a lot like his, no, it was his. Suzu didn’t realize what was going on nor that the door was barred shut and so he did what anyone in confused semi-panic would do, he ran at the door and slammed up against it only to end up sliding down along the door gasping for air having successfully managed to knock the wind out of his-self.

He looked at his sister with alarm and then looked around there were windows in the shop and there was also a pit that played as a forge he glanced at Rae again. “Th-that wasn’t anyone we knew, right?

After all -- the household was supposed to be safe now...
