I guess I'm still lucky enough (hahahahahahahahahahahaha) to get the newest episodes of Smallville a day earlier than everyone else. Full spoilers will be posted at around the time it's over (9pm est tonight).

This was one of the best episodes of Smallville ever made. Definately top 3, and maybe top 1.
Therefore I've decided not to post any kind of recap or spoilers for it. It should definately be seen by everyone, unspoiled.

There was no lovey dovey crap in this episode.
Lionel is dead.
Lex is FINALLY completely evil.
The scenes between Lex and Clark were enough to make this the best episode of Smallville yet. It was like Onyx, but without the "I don't remember" crap they usually put in at the end of every major plot turn.

It was ok. It may of been one of the best episodes of smallville in a long time,
but that doesn't mean it's a great episode. True, it was a relief not to have any of that love crap in it, but still. The scenes between Clark and Lex didn't impress me so much. Buffy is still superior in every way.

Before we get to the important stuff... Lex's assistant is named Gina. Crap! I really wanted her to be Mercy. But the second I heard Gina I'm like "Okay, you're going to die now." When you introduce a character, you usually kill that character. I just thought it was stupid when she said," I know who the traveler is." Can't you just say "Clark is the traveler" ? And then Lex kills her.
Lex is trully evil now. And over a key? To Veritas? I guess they can't all be like Darth Vader. I guess I would want Lex to kill Lionel over something more important or something that has been established for a long time.

besides the people who wouldn't shut up while i was watching, i thought it was a really good episode :]

It makes me sad that what passes for a Clark/Lois scene these days is him rushing in, warming her up and then rushing away, leaving her to bleed out on the floor of the refridgerator ...
I think Lex's "descent" has been mismanaged. He's not your love-to-hate sociopath, he's just a paranoid, psychopathic crazy person.
Also there was too much Chloe. Why does Chloe get so much screentime when she doesn't contribute anything that Clark shouldn't be doing on his own? And where is her subplot? Whatever.
