Howdy folks, Sakura here again to get the wheels in your head turning. That's right, I'm looking for more opinions, so I need you to tell me:

a.)Do you own Rune Factory?

b.)Do/did you like it?

As always, I'll go first. ^_^

To be honest, I don't think I gave Rune Factory a fair chance. I only played it for about a month before I moved on to another game (I believe it might've been Phantom Hourglass... ninja ). But what I did play of it...

Farming was fun; I love the ability to walk on crops; means I can grow twice as much. I also like that farming wasn't just something you're doing on the side while you're supposed to focus on other things, making the farming aspect of the game, essentially, unimportant (I'm looking at you, Innocent Life stare ).

Some of the girls were waaaaay too easy to woo. I mean, I never talked to Rosetta, never gave her a single present, and she has 3 hearts for me? gonk Wtf, man? Meanwhile, Melody, who I'd been wooing since day 1, only has 2? Something's not right there. confused

The mines/dungeons/whatevertheyare....Well, I've never been a fan of mining in HMs. Ask anyone who knows me and how I am about HMs well and they'll quote me as saying, "I HAAAAAAAATE MINING." That being said, the dungeon exploration isn't that bad. It's not really my cup of tea, but it's not as irritating as mining is in M/FoMT or DS/C. The most irritating thing, I think, was running low on HP and hearing that annoying beeping sound, or getting a magic blocking spell cast on me that disables my ability for a quick escape. stare

Monster raising...To be honest, I still don't understand how that system works. You don't have to feed them, but you do have to keep feed for them. I give them a job, and they don't start doing it; they just stand around in the shed. And some monsters don't do anything! What's their purpose in life, then?? Why are they taking up space in my barn?? stressed

:sigh: Overall, I'd say RF was only "Moderately fun," but maybe that's because I didn't give the game a real "chance." I'm hoping that Rune Factory 2 will be more enjoyable and really "pull me in" better than the first one did.

Oh, and one last thing: the voices=excellent. All HMs need to have voicing like that. ::imagine's Gray or Cliff or Kai saying bits of phrases to her in DS Cute:: ::swoons:: heart

I own Rune Factory and I love it. The only thing that would make it better would be if I could play as a girl. I desperately want to marry Russel... or maybe Ivan... *daydreams* Anyway... I really like the mix of Zelda-style monster-slaying and Harvest Moon farming. I really wish I had a dog and a horse, though. Getting Rosetta to stop stalking me is high on the priority list, too. sweatdrop

Rune Factory was loads of fun, not one of my most favorites of the series but it's nice. I hate though that if you marry Melody you can't go to her bathhouse anymore and take a bath. Boooo. mad

a.)Do you own Rune Factory? Yep! ^__^

b.)Do/did you like it? I enjoyed it! I married melody. It was interesting to see you characters carry conversations. (Raguna can TALK!) But I was disapointed by the lack of heart events... The festivals were interesting, and it was fun to see the specific things that would bring up love points. (for melody it was taking lotsa baths.) Yet the one problem I couldn't ignore was the lack of a pregnacy scene. Just one day the baby appears in your wifes arms... HUH?
I am excited about Rune Factory 2 though! ^__^

I do not own Rune Factory but a friend loaned it to me like three days after she bought it. She didn't really care for it. I love it and plan to buy it from her at some point. I love the RPG feel to it. I love that the game has an actually story line. I can't wait for Rune Factory 2 and Rune Factory Frontier.
