~Fisherman's Boat~

The fisherman's boat used to travel to and from Shimagakure is quaint and has one captain; BakaLao. You have to talk to him at the shoreline before getting on his boat. The boat carries up to 8 people comfortably, but there's four bunks to one room. Its real crammed and you barely have elbow room when changing your clothes. A rickety, smelly old fish boat that would never been under the suspicion of being the vessel of Shimagakure.

Owner: Crew
Name: BakaLao
Age: 51
Sex: Male
Birthday: Year 51
Physical Description:
5'11", 180lbs.
Personality:
He's a cheerful and friendly fisherman, but as captain he's a bit more strict and cunning. He loves children and treats all the young shinobi on his boat with care and enjoyment. He's always afraid that they might return to his boat after he sees them walk on land, so he cherishes every moment with the young tykes.
Background:
The Captain of the fisherman was once an ex-navy general for the tea country who went on many missions to take down pillaging pirates and rotten smugglers. He knows the seas around the wave country, sea country, water country and fire country like no other. The Kage specifically asked him to be a fisherman at his village for his specific skills in keeping his route unpredictable to those who might follow him in order to find Shimagakure.
Other:
Can teach Swim, Endurance, Fortitude, Rope and can give +3 to training rolls.
Character Notes:
Jio Seiko - Met on Winter 5, Year 102. Knows him as Tomoko's clansman. Thinks he's a pretty normal boy with stomach troubles and could use a bit of manners.

Sitting on a small wooden crate near the stern of the boat, Yuki stared ahead at the ends lengths of sea water. Usually, she would be complaining to the captain about the awful stench of fish by now, but Yuki was feeling a little saddened by the events that had happened on the small mission that she had brought Kei along on. The girl had done an alright job collecting the ingredients and herbs that Yuki desired. She had at least passed the expectations that Yuki had set for her, but that wasn't the reason why she was a little depressed. There had finally been a student that was highly intrigued by medical techniques, alchemy and her teachings. And now that student had found the one thing in her life that she had been missing; a family.

Tenmoki had to admit that she was stunned when she saw Kei with a bear companion and before she could start naming off all the reasons why Kei shouldn't have a bear, an old man had presented himself as Kei's grandfather. Yuki had been glad that there hadn't been time for her to give her student an earful on how disgusting animals were. She would've felt guilty about their last exchange of words before the girl announced that she was returning home. Yuki had known all about Kei's family and history since all the students had profile cards written up on them about their skills, background and even personality. Tenmoki immediately understood why Kei would want to return home with her grandfather.

Casting her green eyes down onto a simple necklace that she held in her hand, Yuki let her pale green hair be thrown about by the wind as she let the string of the necklace lace in between her soft ivory hands. Kei had asked her to give it as a gift to Naoki, the bashful girl who was in the same grade as Kei. Yuki knew that the two girls were just starting to bloom a relationship, so it would be terrible news to the newfound Uchiha. It was a path that she would have to get over though. Shinobi came and went faster than anyone could imagine. Lifting up her emerald orbs from the necklace and back to the sea, Yuki waited patiently for the boat to dock at the Shimagakure shores.

Skipping onto the boat, Tomoko headed up to the stern and took to the wheel. "Let's go! Let's go!" the woman cheered as she jumped up and down. "Bye! Bye! BakaLao! Tomoko is borrowing your boat again!" the woman called out to the captain as he brought a student on shore. There were several boats at the docks of the shoreline, but Tomoko liked the boat that BakaLao had, so she always took it! "Oku~! Gather round! Gather round!" Tomoko beckoned to Dhan and the brats as she sat down by the wheel and held out the book she had made. "Story time!" Tomoko cheered as she opened the messy book. As the book opened, things began to pop up out of the page! It was a pop-up book! It was very messy and badly painted like a five year old had done it, but everything could be easily made out... kind of. "Tomoko has to tell her brats about Heikou," the woman said, waiting for everyone to get situated for her story time as the boat sailed into the sea.

Seiko sat in the corner of the ship away from everyone as far as he could get. Crossing his legs and cupping his hands he let his hand hang low as he shut his eyes. This story he could care less about. It had nothing to do with him. He already had a screwed up family, a screwed up head, and now he was on a screwed up journey. Mumbling to himself the boy just let his heavy eyes close. They always seemed a little heavier now a days. He didn't know if it was the lack of sleep or if it was the tears he held back, but no matter what his eyes were always heavy. Looking up out of the corner of his only eye, he noticed that these three people he would have to stomach for sometime to come. At least till he had the strength to fend for himself. Zoku, wasnt so bad anymore. She was still a Meho, but he could stomach the girl. At least she was quite and less annoying then Tomoko and Dhan.

In a flash, Tomoko was next to Seiko, right in his face with a pouty look on her face. "Seiko is suppose to ask Tomoko what Heikou is!" she whined stubbornly as she sprinted back to her spot on at the wheel where she had previously been sitting. "HU!" Tomoko sighed with disappointment as she opened her book. "This is Meho, this is Jio," Tomoko said pointing at two figures in her pop up book. "Meho and Jio were given an island to play on with mortals," Tomoko said as she flipped to her second page as people popped up and the two demons hovered over them. "Meho brought his brats up to be strong willed warriors and hunters while Jio brought her brats up to be willful thinkers and builders," Tomoko explained as she held up the book for Seiko and Zoku to see like she were reading to two six year old children. "Buuuuuut~" Tomoko said as she flipped the page. "Meho wasn't happy with just his half of the island!" Tomoko said as a big grumpy Meho popped out of the page. "Meho sent his mortals to conqueor Jio's brats!" Tomoko exclaimed as she turned a page to a fighting scene between a Jio and Meho. "Meho ate Jio, hoping to gain her insightful power and control of her mortals," Tomoko said again as she turned the page to show them Meho eating Jio.

"Buuuuuuuuuut, Meho didn't get the power he wanted," Jio said as she turned the page and a confused Meho sat on a rock. "Meho got understanding! He became... HEIKOU!" Tomoko said showing the ying yang sign on a huge demon that looked like a mix of the Meho and Jio she had drawn before. "Heikou gave powers that Mehos and Jios to make them work together and create a balance while annihilating the demons of the world!" Tomoko said as she flipped the pages to Fuu symbols scratches, demons and weapons. "Now now! Listen carefully!" Tomoko said clearing her throat, before she continued on with her fast talking!

Seiko drew back his head as Tomoko flocked down on him. She was energetic and as annoying as always. While he perked his eyebrow at her his one sunset eye slightly closed in anger. As he readjusted himself into a more comfortable position. As he laid his head down on his arms the boy listened to the woman speak of his own clans beginning and the start of the rivalry that was Meho and Jio. The woman spoke of gods and demons. He had never believed such things. A people built on such beliefs that gods and demons were real? It was to much to wrap around his none believing mind. He looked up at the woman with a unsure look on his unhappy mug. "You expect me to believe the Jio's followed some kind of god?"

Zoku walked onto the boat after the others and didn't pay much attention to Tomoko's antics as she skipped around and let them float away from the docks. The crazy woman had been going on and on about telling a story. When she heard the word 'Heikou' Zoku's ears perked up. She had never heard this word before and was slightly interested by it. As Seiko sat in the corner of the ship away from Tomoko with his eyes shut, Zoku sat closer to where Tomoko was in order to hear a little better. Zoku really had never heard a story, except for the murders that the infamous Dhan had committed. Looking around for the shadow of the warlord, Zoku didn't spot him. It made her feel a little nervous as she tried to pay attention to what Tomoko had to say after she bolted over by Seiko and gave him one of her childish faces.

As Tomoko opened her story book and pointed at the people in the book, Zoku instantly had a hard time following along. Was Tomoko referring to Meho and Jio as individual people or as the individual races? Scratching her head, Zoku tried to follow along with both intentions and assumed that Tomoko was referring to them as individual people. The story wasn't very compelling as Tomoko referred to the tribes as brats and mortals. Zoku sighed, thinking that this was all some type of fairy tale created for the clans of Haha Island to believe. Not really wanting to believe the story at all, Zoku leaned forward and stared at the planks of the ship while Tomoko told her story with her rugged pictures that popped out of the book. Zoku looked up when Tomoko mentioned that Meho ate Jio. Was that why the Meho's were cannibals? Is that why she always feasted on the flesh of those she killed? They ate their enemies in order to gain their strength and knowledge? Zoku was a little more interested and looked a the pictures that Tomoko had drawn.

The look on Zoku's face really gave off the impression that she was confused. Scratching her scalp through her black locks of hair, Zoku didn't understand how Meho transformed into Jio. Zoku never transformed into anything after she ate those she killed. "Mff," the Meho girl grunted in confusion as she looked back at Sieko, hoping for him to give some help, but his eyes were closed at the moment and she doubted that he was really actually trying to pay attention. Tomoko continued to go on about granting the two clans powers to make them work together. Zoku didn't have any type of powers... and what type of powers would she have in order to work with someone like Seiko? Then Tomoko said something about annihilating demons. "Demons?" Zoku asked even more confused thinking that demons weren't real at all and they were just an expression used to call the Meho's. Zoku had been called a demon by one of the villagers in Shimagakure and she thought nothing of it. "Aren't I a demon?" Zoku asked clearly not understanding what Tomoko was saying.

Seiko turned his head over to Zoku. She had just as much stigma around her heritage as he did. She grew up in a cannibalistic tribe that viewed a warriors strength as their lively hood. The weak weren't welcome and were quickly devoured. As he breathed in deeply he let his only eye roll to the top of his head and look towards the sky. "You are not a demon...your clans reputation has lead people to believe it." As he looked down from the sky he looked at her with the same face he always did. One blank and devoid of any emotion. Something was different about this face. Something about this face made it seem like he cared about her. "What are you trying to say chibi-chan? What is the story with this Heikou?"

Heikou was a balance of Meho and Jio. Somehow it seemed that by working together or becoming one that they gained more power from one another. If this was the case was she suggesting to them that they were going to become Heikou? She had to be losing more of her mind by the second if she thought that a Meho and a Jio could work together. "So this Heikou or whatever, is a balance between Meho and Jio. If the Meho still out number the Jio then how will there ever be a balance? No Meho in their right state of mind would ever willing work together with a Jio for any reason. What makes you think this story could ever be true?" Seiko was beginning to understand better but it was still all to unreal for him to believe. The more he thought about it the more he was starting to let in to its weirdness though.

"Mff," the little Meho mumbled as she nodded to what Seiko said. Zoku looked over to Seiko as he said mostly what she was thinking. Work together? The Meho looked down at the boards of the ship once again. She thought that she and Seiko were starting to form some kind of positive bond between one another, but working together was still out of the question. Scratching at her eye after looking over at Seiko, Zoku awaited for what Tomoko would have to say next. She was kind of anxious to hear the rest of the story, but she didn't want to act like it. Seiko was cool and blank and even though he was asking questions about the story that Tomoko was telling, he acted as if he really didn't care. The story was extremely hard to believe, so Zoku was trying to digest some of it, but not all of it. "I agree," Zoku mumbled, saying that she also did not believe the tall tale that Tomoko was telling them.

"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk," Tomoko tisked as she shook her head back and forth as her two little pupils disagreed and didn't believe her. "Seiko's Mama would be upset with him! Seiko has the Heikou book, but has never read it! TISK!" Tomoko said as she slapped her little pop up book closed. "Listen carefully, Tomoko says!" the half Jio half Meho woman demanded as she opened back up her book. "Jios and Mehos couldn't get along and understand what Heikou was trying to bring. So, Heikou left! He left his toys on the island and all the brats. And without Heikou, demons came to the island, cause they were hungry!" Tomoko said as she continued to flip through the book with pictures that dictated the story she was telling. "The Demons couldn't be killed, but the Jio's could seal them once they were almost dead! That is how Jio and Meho's worked together. The Jio's and Meho's were then united under Heikou's mortal children; the Celestial twins!" Tomoko said, turning the page to show two twins that looked alot like Seiko and Zoku. "Tomoko wonders why Zoku and Seiko haven't asked why their eyes resemble sunrise and sunset," the woman said with a pout, disappointed that neither of them had noticed.

Seiko quickly shot out from his corner his book dropping from his back and his hands clenched. As he jumped up from the lower section of the boat to where Tomoko was he aimed a kick for the woman's neck. "Dont talk about my mother!" Seiko would never let anyone speak of his mother. Good or bad, and this woman was no different. His mother and fathers memories were sacred to him and in his sunset eyes their memories were the only things keeping him from taking his own life. A fit of rage had engulfed the boy quickly. Knowing that Tomoko could easily take his kick and absorb its weak hit was information he held, but this was more about making it known he would not tolerate the mention of his past from the likes of her or anyone else. He would let his past remain such, now there was only the present. What he did with it was up to him.

It was always a worry when the beast wasn't in sight but what was even worse was to anger it. The moment Seiko raised his voice and his foot to Tomoko Dhan was ready to intercept. His speed and strength easily outmatched the angry child and with little effort he snatched Seiko out of the air. Holding the boy upside down by his foot Dhan stared into his eyes. The only thing visible was hate. Dhan had two things on his simple mind feeding and protecting the one who reanimated him and now as he brought his free hand up to Seiko's throat and wrapped his fingers around his neck all he had to do was squeeze and both those things on his mind would be satisfied.
