i adopted my Gaian name from my spirit guide, Euridisae (Guardian of Chaos). I live by my element (water=emotional, spiritual, introverted). my animal guide is the crow (urban pagan guide) and the turtle (my Native family's tribal animal), but I have a deep spiritual connection to sharks. my true Familiars have always come in the guise of a cat, though, although I am very much allergic to cats (and most dogs). all the cats in my life have been adopted strays that have just kind of stayed once I fed them once or twice. my cat now, Kaarat, was a very very sick 4 week old kitten a neighbor found in the apartment complex across the street. she went all over the neighborhood at about 10pm to find someone who would take it. I did and he's been with us for almost a year now. ^_^

I've always believed I have a dragon guardian spirit by the name of Malnore. This is how I found him:
Back when I was 14 years old, during the summer shortly after my grandmother's death, I was at my best friend Candy's house. Candy, her boyfriend at the time, and I were in her bedroom, and I was on her bed taking a nap. When I was between sleep and waking up, I had muttered some things, and then I opened my eyes. The first thing I saw when I opened them was a necklace with an ornate dragon's claw, with a red, glass honey-combed ball in its grasp. Upon seeing this, I remember distinctly saying, "Malnore." Candy had let me keep that necklace since that time, and I've been wearing it off and on ever since, but mostly on. There had been a few times when the ball had broken off the claw, and I was able to find it and glue it back on, and there was one time I gave Malnore to a boyfriend that broke up with me - he had sent the necklace to me in a plain letter envelope, and I when I received it in the mail I found that the envelope was torn open, but the necklace was still inside.
To me, Malnore appears as a crimson-colored dragon with red, honey-combed eyes. I once was going to write a story of how Malnore ended up holding one of his eyes in his claw, but I really never got around to it. In my online chatroom roleplaying, I have him as the spirit of my main character Nerilaith's father, who was in a battle with an evil wizard and was slain, and his spirit was put in an amulet in the shape of his claw holding his eye, so he would be able to keep Neri immortal and protect her from physical and magical harm.
Other than Malnore, I have had two spirit portraits drawn for me in the past by two different spirit artists. The first one is a young man with black hair and blue eyes, with a beard and moustache. At the time he was sending me the colors green and purple (though I think it should be rose pink, because those are my colors), and all I can get of his name was it starts with a D. The other spirit guide is a little girl from Ireland, who has shoulder-length red curls, and she's wearing a white dress. I was told her name is Katerine, which I found a bit surprising, as there are some occasions where the name "Katie" would seem to be surfacing into my thoughts for some reason.
There had been times where I had Tarot readings, and the readers would say my grandmother (the one that passed on when I was 14) is with me. I would be surprised if she was, and still is.

Well my element is fire, so I have always connected with salamanders and reptiles (however I am deathly afraid of alligators and crocodiles... past life mishap by chance???). I have also identified with my cat ever since he came in to my life. I believe in guides on both the physical and spiritual planes. More recently on the spirit plane during meditation I have connected with a hare and a small brown bear cub. I have never had a plant spirit guide but I think it would be interesting, especially if it was on the physical plane.

Dragon_Witch_Woman I love gators =3 Maybe its a side effect of living in Florida xd I wish I could get over it, but I just about cry just seeing one in a zoo. I also have re-occurring nightmares about them pretty often... I don't know why. callmebutterfingers Is it possible to have plant spirit guides? Even thought I have never had one I don't see why not. In my opinion plants have a very strong energy and I believe some form of a spirit. I also have a question for anyone who may be able to answer: I recently went through a guided meditation with the purpose of finding and communing with a goddess you would connect well with At the time. My animal spirit guides led me to a goddess with deep red hair and a green dress, she was very quiet and had a calming effect on me. Any idea who she might be??? I think she might be another one of my spirit guides. Thanks!!!
