"Mother told me she was setting me free from her foolish and selfish ways. That it was now that she could accept the fact of my death. I understand... No mother wants to out live their child." Ceres gave a weak smile. "But, it is all so new, and half the time I don't feel in control anymore... Last week when Fauste was here she helped me work through a few personal issues."

"Well, I think it was bound to happen sometime, even if it were 458 human years later... For you, that being," She pauses and calculates in her head," 18 that seems about right for parents and children to get a good feel for individuality... Of course I'm speaking utterly from human perspective... I'm sure things will go smoother now though." She said happily.
"Fauste is visiting also? How wonderful." She said a tad bubbly, not having seen her in over three years. "A full house to greet the newcomer."
While Ceres was cooking dinner with her telekinesis ability Lexiel took the time to take her camping gear upstairs to her guest bed room and start un-packing. She had been up there int he room for awhile, sifting through books and papers of research, maps and artifacts, and the like when the smell of the food from down stairs almost beckoned her presence.
She made her way down the stairs and into the kitchen to enjoy the aroma's of simmering tomato sauce, garlic, peppers, meat balls, and Parmesan.
"What is that delectable smell?" Lexiel said, hoping for succulent garlic bread. It had been a long time since she'd eaten anything Italian because of her location. It was mostly small game, birds, or fish for dinner, whatever she could hunt down. Along with the main course maybe a few small potatoes from her little garden as a garnish.

Well, Fauste found herself at the door again and out of habit, knocked. Certainly she could just walk in as if she owned the place but hardly ever did such a thing. Plus it was out of respect for privacy that she did so.
Things at her household were progressing nicely and things were falling back into place quite nicely. She waited for the door to be answered as she yawned slightly.

Ceres looked up as the dishes settled onto the table. "Fauste!" She grinned. "It is pasta tonight! And, look who else has come home, Lexiel!"
"Pasta..." Ceres could hear it echoing down the hall. "I see you brought the gang with you." She laughed as she clapped her hands delighted in having a full house. "Did you all have a good time while you were out shopping?"
She expanded the table, and extra chairs appeared. "Plenty of food and space for all." She said as she watched her children file in.

Lexiel, standing, gasped when the children and Fauste came filing in. "My how good it is to see so many familiar faces." She begins to hug each and everyone of them and give them compliments as they all sat down in their seats.
Ceres sat at one head of the table, sky the other, and Lexiel and Fauste sat on either side of Ceres.

Ayisha and Masika HAD to sit next to each other, or so Masika demanded. She didn’t really abide anyone elses’ presence next to her other than her beloved’s. Some might view it as being possessive, but obviously Masika saw it as love.
Ayisha took it in stride having gotten used to Masika’s odd little quirks. The children of this particular odd couple were sleeping somewhere close by so as to keep an eye upon them.
The pair shared their meal making jokes mostly with each other back and forth. Sometimes Masika, however, gets riled up at someone and starts either threatening them or glaring at them. Whichever suited the moment best until Ayisha managed to calm her down.
Fauste just ate and watched everyone having always been a quiet person especially at mealtimes. It was funner to watch. She certainly spoke when spoken to, but otherwise she seemed most content like this.

Ceres took the basket of rolls. One for herself. She then passed it off to the next person. She was glowing with delight. "It is wonderful that the dining area is bursting at the seams." She chuckled. "I've gotten a little use to everyone just coming and going, and vanishing..."
Aurora Dawn's black ears flattened a bit. "Mom couldn't you have at least extended the table a little more." She reached for the pasta.
"Hey, what about me!" Aurora said crossing her arms with a pout. "Littlest should go first."
Sky gave the little one a soft smile, and took the salad bowl. He gave Aurora a good portion before helping himself. He knew it was appreciated by her smile.
Rhine and Cassara had settled for fighting over the one napkin they had between them. They were siblings, and not acting like grown ups at all. They didn't even think of getting another napkin.

Lexiel was handed the basket of rolls and took one for her own plate before passing it down. Beside her sat Perian who happily accepted the basket of rolls. The whole meal she was just a polite delight and didn't speak much during the meal with so much bickering going on. Next to her sat Rhine and Cassara who were fighting as if they were the only two at the table.
It surprised Lexiel that they haven't tackled each other out of their chairs yet. Perian quickly slipped her napkin into the lap of Cassara to try and settle the dispute. Perian then took a roll for herself and passed it to Cassara, sealing their silence with food.

Of course Masika and Ayisha had their turn at the basket of rolls and each got one. Their ‘ether’ tails waving about as they dangled off the edge of their chair. Masika began to pointedly ignore most folk around her.
Fauste didn’t take a roll not being much for such things. She was content with what she had for the moment.

Ceres pushed the spaghetti around her plate, but didn't leave even a lettuce leaf behind when it came to the salad. She sighed softly in idle thought before letting out a yawn. When she was hyped from excitement it didn't take much for her to 'crash' once she was settled down. She rubbed her belly trying to calm Natalia.
Rhine and Cassara may have managed to stop fighting over the napkin, but it didn't stop there. It carried over into who's first, portions, and anything else they could 'debate' over.
Aurora Dawn had settled into helping her sister Aurora, although she wasn't spoon feeding the girl. It seemed the two had gotten caught up in their own form of speech.
Tinker looked up at the table again, and continued to wish their was a more logical approach to the madness... Especially with all the bickering.
Sky pushed his plate aside when he saw Ceres. He sighed wondering if she would ever learn to not exhaust herself. Then again it didn't take much lately as far along in the pregnancy as she was.

Lexiel, too, noticed Ceres' fatigue, but it was Perian who spoke up about it.
"Mom, why don't you go lay down and rest a while in some peace and quiet. I'll make sure everyone eats their vegetables and then clean up when everyone's done." She said, taking a spoon ful of spaghetti for herself.
Lexiel was in process of placing a large piece of noodle covered garlic bread in her mouth before she also chipped in her two cents. "I'll help her with the dishes to speed things along. And if thats not enough man power then we'll recruit Fauste's help also. Go ahead Ceres. We've got it covered." Lexiel then smiled at her gracious and tired host and took a bite out of the deliciously flavored bread.

Fauste jumped a little at hearing her name. Dragging herself out of whatever mid-dinner reverie she was having, “Huh? Oh, yeah, sure will help if needed.” She beamed a smile at Lexiel, Ceres, and the others. She meant the offer sincerely and would likely help if invited to or not.
“It is more important you rest up for the baby’s sake and your own.” Fauste pointed out setting her fork down having finished eating.
Ayisha nodded a bit, “Yah. Babies are a lot of work on the inside and outside.” She giggled lightly.

Before any of the children could make a move to help their mother Sky stood up swiftly. His grace as he crossed the room was majestic, and horselike. He gently pulled the chair out, and scooped up Ceres in his arms. His gentleness was amazing, considering his strength.
Ceres who was half asleep at the dinner table pushing Spaghetti around the table gasped in shock as she was basically swept off her feet. "Sky... Really I can take care of myself..."
Sky gave Ceres a concerned look that said don't go there as he place a soft kiss on her lips. With that he left the room with Ceres in arm.

After the two had left, Lexiel sat with a garlic'ed up roll she was about to take a bite of, mouth hanging wide open, eyes as wide as her mouth, staring at the door way. After a few minutes passed Lexiel shook her head to get out of her dumbfounded look. She then continued eating what she had left on her plate.
"This was a delicious meal.... So who wants to help clean up?" She askes in a general way, addressed to the whole table.
Perian, having finished for awhile now spoke up. "I'll help." She said with a small smile and stood up with empty plates in hand to take them over to the sink to begin the washing.
