There she sat on her haunches, looking over her little garden why her two sons of her latest litter were off with their father. Sweetly she hummed a little melody to what she also considered to be her children...being a nymph and all. She eventually broke into singing.
"Nothing's gonna' harm you, not while I'm around. Nothings gonna' harm you, no love, not while I'm around.Demons are prowling everywhere Nowadays, I'll send 'em howling I don't care I got ways...."

As though the little rhyme -harmless though it was- were daring him so, Aveshar paced toward the source of the sound. He'd heard the faint lilt of music while wandering, and it hadn't really phased him, not until he'd heard the woords that matched the flowing music. Demons everywhere? Well, he certainly was moving around a lot lately. But she'd send him packing? Oh this female he had to meet. "Do you now?" He asked, topping a little hill and comming into sight of her. "I confess I am intrigued with these 'ways' of yours, My Lady... Perhaps you would show them to me?" He smiled, a full grin of sinister teeth and deadly promise... His eyes gleaming just a little bit brighter. Here was an appealing female, all by herself, practically daring any nearby demons to come and test her. Was she single or did her male just not have any sense at all?

"It's just a song sir, but if it is anything to you, yes I have ways of warding off those I do not want around. As far as showing them to you, I'll not even entertain that request less you prove a threat to me, my cubs, my mate or my earth bound children." His scent finally caught her nose and made her quirk her head to the side? Did she know him? No she never met him a day in her life...so why did he...
Akai. Thats why. This males scent had been lingering on him once during his vist to see her son Valadist. Well since he knew her son-in-law then perhaps this lion wasn't all that bad. No that was wishful thinking. The way he held himself told her otherwise.
"Surely you didn't come here because of my little lullabye. Is there something I can help you with?"

"I wander wherever I wish." He said in reply to her final statement, pacing closer to her. "The singing brought me to you, but I was in the area already.. True enough.." He dipped his head in a slight bow, pacing a circle around him. He could feel her eyes on his coat, practically begging for reasons to believe he was not all bad... Not all bad? Evil through and through... "A mate?" He sighed, as though greatly saddened. "What a waste of a female like you." Children? How depressing. "What do I have to do to be considered a threat to you, your cubs, your foolish mate?" He asked, smirking. "I just cannot imagine leaving without seeing these 'ways' of yours..."

"Foolish? How is my beloved Sukin foolish? If it is because he is not here by my side, that does not make him foolish. I am able to take care of myself. Besides I rather him be away for the moment with the young ones. He can be a bit over protective when it comes to individuals like you. Further more I don't see how me being mated is a waste." She stood keeping her crimson eyes on his form.
"As I've said before, I'll not entertain your requests to see my ways of defending what is mine. Besides if you are uncertain of what you must do to make me defend myself then why would I even tell you what you must do."

Aveshar rolled his eyes. Her beloved? This female made him want to gag... It was a shame, for her dare had been quite enticing.. Yet here she stood blathering on about her beloved mate and her darling children... He lunged at her with a roar, intent on scaring a little fight out of her. What was the fun in just standing there talking?

Belladonna quickly jumped back, her fangs bared and her claws digging into the earth. The grass itself began to bend and the vines surrounding her home seemed to bare their thorns. " I suggest you fall back, just because I detest fighting, doesn't mean that I won't put forth an effort in harming you and you your pride."
Her body was tense and her voice filled with venom. Belladonna's personality may be the opposite of her lethal potential but when provoked, it's like a new lioness made herself known.

Aveshar laughed and circled again, reaching out to bat at her tailfeathers with the flat of his paw, a caress more than a strike. "Much better." He praised in a dark, laughing voice. "Oh I like this much better than the simpering, grateful mate... How can you stand that?" He shook his head, quite perturbed. "To be bound to a single individual you call 'beloved' for the rest of your life?" He shook his head. Aveshar liked his posessions... But to feel owned by another? Never.

A hiss left her maw as she moved from his grasp."Yes and there's nothing wrong with that. I rather be someone's mate, their equal than to be nothing more than a pet. An object of sexual pleasure or a target to take your anger out on. "

He rolled his eyes, his voice silken and mocking. "Ahh yes, its always best when they can hit you with words to truly wound... How worthless you are as mate or mother... How much he preferred this lover or that, or better yet, how he would rather be slinking around with some other female, than be home with you and the brood." He snorted and spun smoothly, changing his direction to pace around her again. "Yes, that sounds much more enticing..."

"You sound as if you speak from experience or rather you sound as if you are letting your own fears seep from your lips. I know your not here for chit-chat or even really a fight so lets stop this little waltz of ours and get to the point. What do you want from me?"

It is hard for a demon to look wounded, especially when no blows had been exchanged, yet Aveshar managed. He pouted at her, his smirk wiping it away the next moment. "Truly my lady... You invited me, even enticed me here... Taunting me with that song of yours... And now that I am here and can see how lovely and alone you are, you wish me away?" He shook his head sadly, tsking at her.

"Can't very well blame me now can you? After all, I have had run ins with demons before and never did they end well so forgive me if I wish to stay away from them whenever possible."

"I'm not really a demon though pet, surely you'll give me a chance?" He grinned at her. "A dark song and a demon are nothing alike..." He laughed softly. She was spirited, this one..

Well that most certainly confused her. Not a demon, but a dark song? What on earth was that supposed to mean. Sure he didn't have the appearance of a demon but his aura sure did resemble that of a demons. Give him a chance? After the taunt just to get her to fight? She mentally sighed. Why on earth was she getting so wound up for. He was a male in his prime and that naturally spelled out trouble. Well at least he still felt young.
"A dark song? I suppose giving you a chance wouldn't be so bad now that you have succeeded in gaining my interest. I don't think I've ever heard someone refer to themselves as a dark song. Please, if you would be so kind, clarify what you mean."
