Since Baka had found her Mzaa-she had not strayed away from him very much. She was afraid to lose him-but he was content with staying in a general area without moving-so she was not as worried as she usually was. She had left her white feather with him-making sure he kept an eye on it. If her white friend dissapeared-she would be very upset indeed. So with assurance of this-she left the den site-and headed out to do some hunting...

Which meant playing.

On she went-her pink tongue hanging out happily. She padded with her black tail wagging-ears perked-eyes alert. She pranced and pounced on nothing-occasionally stopping to roll on the dirt-getting her pelt covered in sticks and leaves. She stood, shaking them off-concent to be shining in the sun. What a beautiful day. She sat down, shutting her eyes and enjoying the warmth.

Tu had gone through several months of rebuilding his character. Unconsciously of course, but none the less he went through many instances where he suffered the effects of tormenting rage / bi-polar disorder. Finally he’d gone several days without nourishing his body, and ran his body until it was on nothing but embers… Laying un-groomed half in a watering hole and half covered in mud his nearly lifeless form drifted in and out of consciousness as his head lifted slightly to look around half dazed. This maned wolf was well beyond his youth, but still had many years of life still within him. But his madness had taken a toll on him. Now… he was a normal, non-hating/non-filled-with-rage wolf. Except for the half dead part, he was just ducky!

It was time to put some pep in his step… Baka was just the lady to implant these thoughts.

Finally he lifted his head, and the stars in his eyes began to fade. Tu could feel his legs again and attempted to lift himself from the half dried mud that covered his pelt, but slid even further into the stagnant water. Closing his eyes he began to breath deeper, attempted to psyche himself up for the energy he needed to lift himself from the watering hole. Without warning he shot up from the mud and quickly threw himself from the mud to the dry grass that surrounded the mud pit. Landing with a quick yelp he laid breathing heavily. Closing his eyes once again he muttered through gritted teeth, ”Pathetic…”

Baka lifted her chin up, letting the suns rays land upon her throat. OOOooooh, what a glorious feeling. She sighed again, a smile crossing her maw. What an amazing life she had now... a family-a home... everything she could ever want.

Suddenly, a sound caught her attention. She lowered her muzzle and stared around... blinking-listening for the sound. She stood up, hearing someone speak not far away. She began to pad towards that direction-her head cocked-footsteps cautous. She lowered her nose too the ground-sniffing... was there danger?

She continued on, her brown eyes searching... and spotted a red and brown form. She blinked, eyes adjusting so that she could see-another maned wolf-ragged and worn out looking. She stopped, her left paw held quivering in the air. Did he smell of disease. She scented the air, and caught no decay or the funk of disease. "
Hello? She said aloud-a bit tenative.

She stayed a good distance away from him-taking in his form. He looked sick and hungry. She wondered if he had gotten beaten up. She took a tenative step closer-intrigued by another maned wolf. She had never seen a red one before.. and he had black too... but the brown hid anything else.
"Sir... are you okay?"

Laying motionless he let himself just lay. Hearing a nearby sound his head quickly snapped in the direction of this new wolf. Narrowing his eyes the wolf began to growl quietly but as her soft voice cut through the air he paused only glaring at her. Quickly he grunted and yet again forced his body through another session of torture and brought himself to a standing position. His head hung low and his tail hung slightly between his legs as the fur on his neck stood on end. The extremely large wolf growled defensively again but quietly to just show that he was in fact nervous that she was daring to come closer to him. He already knew the facts. He could only last a matter of moments if she wanted to fight before he succumbed yet again to exhaustion. But if she wanted to fight she stood to nervously and quivered like a small rabbit pinned down. Limping towards her he grunted slightly as he felt the strength in his legs vanish and fell in a heap to the ground. Whining out in pure reflex to the excruciating pain he shut his eyes and panted… The facts where obvious… He was extremely weak from starving himself. Opening his eyes small tears welled up into his eyes, not out of sadness but from pure pain and anger.

Looking at her he could only growl through clenched teeth, ”s**t… do I look okay?”

Baka watched his efforts. He was thin. She herself had never exprianced the pain and torment of starvation... of ones body weakinging and falling out from under her. She blinked her ember eyes-stepping closer-tail wagging slowly-a greeting of good things-not bad. She didn't want to see a threat-she wasn't one... Little old her-would not be very strong against him-though he was weak now. She licked her lips tenativly, lowering herself for a moment as he growled-showing submission. She wasn't here to fight... she didn't really know why she was here-but she wanted to help him.

He fell again and she stepped nervously side to side... Oh-oh what to do... She lifted her head, ignoring his statement. He needed food... and nearby-was something she could catch easily... affectivly. Mzaa had seen to that. She pranced off-her tail wagging as her form left his veiw as she scaled a hill and disapeared down the other side. Luckily for him-the waters curved around the hill and became a shallow marsh-and Baka had the wonderful ability to catch slimey little frogs-with their fishy meat... after a few moments, and a few unsuccessful tries-she came up over the hill again-four frogs dangling from her black jaws. She then lowered her form again, crawling to his front and dropping the dead frogs at his muzzle.
Here... eat something... you're body can't go on without something in your belly.

Tu simply watched her submit to his threat… even within his extreme pain and torment this wolf in front of him submitted to him. To many his threats would have gotten him killed in a heart beat. But this… cute wolfess submitted and showed him respect he hadn’t seen in a long time. It was only when he was the leader of his old pack that any other wolves submitted to him like pups. Looking to her with a slight smile her antics and movements where that of a young wolf, even though she was a grown adult. His eyes scanned her entire body and seen nothing that would prove as a deformity. She didn’t have any random twitches and for all that he was worth, Tu couldn’t see why she would help him.

As she turned away he sighed as he figured that she was maybe sick in the head and randomly acted out of impulse; but surprisingly she came back with food within her muzzle. Quickly as it landed in front of him he downed each morsel without a struggle. The natural slime that covered these creatures made it extremely easy to swallow them whole. With his stomach full he could feel energy begin to pulse through out his entire body. Slowly he rose to his feet, stopped and stared at her. He had simply ignored what she said to eat the food she had provided him. Reaching out his nose he pressed it against the side of her face affectionately and as a thank you. Pulling away his deep voice smoothly carried out thankful words, ”I’m Tu…” Bowing his head his sharp eyes fixed on another frog that croaked nearby. He had never even pondered eating these creatures before now, but since he had a taste for them he couldn’t help but want another even though his stomach already hurt by eating to much. Looking back to Baka a small dared to cross his fangs.

Baka was pleased with his initial reaction to her bringing food. She had always been like this, always giving to others and not expecting anything in return-perhaps that was why Mzaa like her so much and kept her around like a daugther. She grinned, her black tail wagging slowly as she did so. He certainly was more pleasent to be around now that his stomach was full and she had to sit back for a moment to take in his journey from mud to land. She bounced up and down playfully for a moment-her amber eyes shut.

"Food always makes one feel more strength when consumed... that is what I always say. " She chimed, her white toes wiggling in the dirt and her tail wagging faster and faster. "I'm Baka... Baka Mru! I am one of seven pups..." She said with pride-her stance showing it.

"And you shouldn't eat anymore-your belly may get to big and you will have to get them all out..." She said matter-of-factly. She stood up and started to kick the mud off her paws.

A moment passed where he sat silent watching and contemplating what the girl said, she was a funny one but for an unknown reason she made him happy. Just having her hyper pup like attitude made him remember the years back when he lead his pride. When the pups would yap for the meat of a fresh kill, his eyes became distant as he thought back to better years. Younger years for that matter… Tu was an old dog now, but he could easily keep up with any yipper snapper than came his way, and he could certainly keep up with any small game that he set his sights on.

Snapping back to attention he looked to her tail flapping back and forth excitedly. Giving a simple ”Hmph.” He stood and stretched out his worn down body, he needed to be cleaned and what better way than a fresh cool crick or stream. He had found one about a quarter day or so ago, but that was when he was weak and crawling along. Still weak and sore but in good health Tu could already feel the energy pulsing into his body. Thanks to this fellow wolf, he was still alive.

His head cocked to the side as most canines do when they are confused and interested in something, ”Get… them out?” Now a full half crooked smile spread across his fangs.

Baka sat and wiggled her toes some more-fascinated by how they moved... before looking back up at him to take in his physical attributes. He was older than she-probably much much older and his body showed the signs of age. Even his eye, now blind and scared-was fascinating, for she was still just a pup in her mind. She stood up and walked to his side. "Yep... get them out... like... get them out of your stomach." She said. Then she grimanced up her face, her lips pulling back. Her tongue stuck out and from her throat came a -

Hack

She then perked right back up again after making her display. She seemed pleased with herself, he tail wagging faster than before. "Like that... like our mothers did to feed us meat... get it out." She nodded her head.

Again for another moment he watched her out of pure curiosity, many other people probably thought the same thing he did. This Baka was strange, cute… and extremely hyper; but what she did next completely threw him off, he simply watched her with a look of disgust and confusion. His jaw opened slightly as he attempted to take it all in. The way she demonstrated it was a little exaggerated but it was un-mistakably the face of a constipated mule. As soon a the sound escaped her he jumped and then laughed wildly, she was a hoot. He could get used to her.

Standing he looked at her with a wild grin and shook his head, ”Just like that huh?” He began walking forward quickly he spoke out to her without looking at her, ”Come along brat, I’ve got something to show you.”

Baka sat back-pleased with her demonstration of how it works. Of course he knew what she was talking about-his mother had to have fed him like that too. Of course-she nodded her head. Though he seemed a bit grumpy earlier-he seemed nicer now. Even if he called her a brat. She cocked her head-before her forhead wrinkled and she frowned. "I'm not a brat!" She said-her nose wrinkling. If anything, she was far from a brat.

She however, stood up and followed him-though within a few moments she was back to being a wiggly happy pup. Her tail started wagging quickly. "So, where are we going, tu?" She asked, looking at him curiously.

((OOC: I forgot where I was going to take her… I’ll work with it! LoLz))

Tu had continued his strut forward, he chuckled deeply again reminiscing about Baka’s wild demonstration. He looked back to her with a half scary friendly smile then looked forward again. He paused in mid stride as painful memories surfaced… he had never led another creature since his… his last pride. His ears folded back as he growled, his eyes where snapped back to reality as he felt tremors within the Earth. His ears popped up again as he listened to the sounds of the jungle, there was a distant sound of a traveling herd… a herd of elephants. Looking back to Baka he snapped out an order, ”Move!” He darted to the right, letting his legs carry him as fast as he could, those beasts where so clumsy and so large that they’d crush animals of their size without even realizing it. Looking back to her he figured he should give her a reason to run, ”Elephants are traveling this way at mid stride, they’d crush us if he stuck around to see their parade.” Looking ahead he just barely ducked under a root and then hopped over a large puddle, then twisting himself between saplings without missing a beat. A perfect example of his athletic ability… Even though… he where still weak and a bit flat footed.

Baka didn't need to be told twice. She could feel the ground moving and it scared her-and she need not much prompting to do as she was told. She followed after him-her black and white feet padding the ground in quick rhythm. She panted, her pink tongue hanging from her maw-as she kept on his tail-though she was not as slick as he-and slipped on the ground-her paws scrambling.

She kept right on his tail-as if he was her leader. She had always done best with someone to tell her what to do... and he was just he male to do it. She managed to run ahead of him-straight into a thick growth of thorn trees. She scrambled into the middle of it, panting and heaving.

Tu followed behind her slowing letting her take the lead, as soon as she shot into the thorns he too quickly moved beside her and curled in front of her, his hackles where on end and his teeth bared, he was ready to defend her against the oncoming herd, luckly though they moved right past them not even knowing that either of them where there. Shaking himself off roughly he looked back at her and kissed her gently with his soft pink tongue on the side of her cheek. He chuckled deeply and brushed past her, already he was ready to claim her as his mate… As little as he knew about her there was chemistry between them.

Simply enough he carried on through the thick brush and as he walked he spoke loud enough for her to hear, ”Where you from girl?” His voice was deep and gruff at the same time, similarly to the world war two generals in the old army movies…

She was pretty darn good at getting through thorns and was proud of her skills. She slid through them like they were nothing and turned to watch him defend her against the big things. She chuckled, her tail wagging side to side. The big animals didn't bother them unless given a reason. She had usually just kept out of stepping distance from them, they didn't look where their feet landed. She watched them go with observant brown eyes and smiled. She shut her eyes and sniffed deeply to smell them-when a wet thing tickled her cheek. She opened her eyes to see him walking past. Did he just lick her.

She giggled, following behind him with a beaming grin. "Um... I was born in a tunnel my mother and father made. When I was old enough I left with my sisters... all sisters no brothers... and we eventually broke apart and now I am alone. I dunno where I was born exactually... but... I live all over I guess... what about you?"
