Andariel spent all night in a tree curled up on a branch. Over night she seemed to have grown into an adult. "Finally!" she mewed after hopping to the ground and inspecting her longer legs and sleeker frame. Her tail flicked like a whip for good measure. She promised herself once she was an adult she would find or make herself a cave. Anything more comfortable then sleeping in a tree. They were sparse in her location, being more of a open area then forest.
She had yet to see any other form of shelter which brought her to the idea of making her own. Her stomach grumbled loudly making the purple female blink. Until that moment she forgot she hadn't eaten before she slept. Moving east she walked out in the open, unsure how far she was from a river or any food source.

Red XIII ran about the tree's, casing down a little squirrel but the dang thing was fast. In the end it was too fast and it got away leaving Red by the water side with nothing to do. He laid down and watched the flame on his tail flicker.

Humming a random melody she made up as she walked she started to notice more things were more lush. No sooner had she pressed a paw on the greener grass she could hear the soft trickle of water. A squirrel chittered noisily as it ran between her paws and darted up to a randomly placed tree. Shrugging it off she picked up her pace and found the stream she had seaked. Bending down she lapped at the cool water until her thirst was quenched. Glancing around she didn't take notice she wasn't alone. Smirking she jumped into the water with a "Whoo!" yelled before slipping under the surface deep enough that she didn't hit bottom right away. Swimming to the surface she laughed to herself and watched the fish bolting in all directions. So much for acting grown up.

As the flame on his tail flickered something caught his eye. It was purple and moving fast, he heard a splash and it was gone. "What was..." He got up and wondered over to the waters edge and peered in. As the thing came back up he felt a weird feeling, like a jolt, a pull. He stared at it realizing that it was a girl.

She swam around until she had no choice to pop up to the surface. Taking a deep breath she sighed happily and paddled slowly along the river. Out of the corner of her eye she caught something red. At first she dismissed it for a squirrel but then it registered that that red thing seemed bigger. Either the creatures had bigger ancestors then she thought or it wasn't a squirrel at all.
She dove under the water again and jumped up right infront of him, digging at the bank to pull herself up. But something caught her back foot and wouldn't let her leave the water. The weeds and water plants had twined themselves pretty good making her slip back into the water. She kicked at the water foliage to free herself.

Red tilted he's head to the side. This girl sure was a weird one, why was she making so much commotion? Water really wasn't that much fun...Was it?
He watch her for a few seconds more before it clicked in that the girl was actually in trouble! He growled a bit as he felt that pull again, he could just sit there and watch no matter how much he hated to swim. He leap into the water, he's tail sizzled and went out as it was submersed. He wretch at the pain but kept on swimming. When Red reached her he dove under and bit onto the seaweed, shaking to loose.

Andariel flipped under the water, twisting to reach the plant to free herself. Bubbles drifted up in front of her vision making the situation hard to see. Her heart did it's own somersault with the vision of red appearing in the water infront of her. One minute she was stuck the next her foot was freed. Darting up to the surface she inhaled a breath with a sob of relief. She pulled herself up onto the bank a drenched mess of purple and white fur.
Turning around she looked for the sign of the red again. That presence of color drawing her to it and making her grow concern.

Red XIII swam to the surfs, gasping for air. He really did hate swimming. Seeing that the girl of purple was safe on the shore he paddled he's way over to her, grumbling all the way. Once on the green again he shook out he's whole body. The tip of his tail cracked and popped and burst into flame again. "Better." He sighed in releaf.

Let out the breath she had apparently been holding in upon catching the redish orange body break the surface. She waited on him to pull himself up on land before thanking him. Something however made her voice catch. Green eyes focusing on the sudden flame at the end of his tail.
"Thank you" she choked out, still glued in awe at his tail. Curious how it was ablaze and didn't seem to hurt him. He was handsome as well making it all the more harder not to stare. It had her drawing a step closer with the feeling of something fluttering in her stomach.

Red turned his head to her when he was spoken too. "Your welcome, but please don't do that again. I hate getting wet." He started to walk away.

Andariel lifted her gaze to his own green eye, noticing the other was shut permenantly. A frown formed on her muzzle to the grumpy reply. "I'm sorry.." She stood a little dumbfounded by the whole thing. She felt guilty though it wasn't really her fault.
Watching him walk away she felt her body slump to the ground in slow motion, a bundle of emotions coursing through her. She stared at the water and the way it sparkled from the light playing across it much like it did to her own hair. You shouldn't expect more from the first male you meet she scolded herself.

"It's ok." He yelled back to the girl. He noticed that the girl was staring at him before he left. Did he really look that different? "I'm hungry and going for food." He yelled again. "Show me a good spot to pick up some grub."

She half heard him, sulking where she laid. One ear twitched and she let out a sigh. "Follow the water. You should be able to find berries nearby" she spoke loud enough for him to hear, her tone flat.

Red stopped and half turned around to look at her with his one eye. "You baka! I'm asking you to show me. Now I just saved you the least you could do is this one thing."

Lifts her head to look at him. Her eyes narrowed at his rudeness. "When you act like that?" She got up anyway and trudged in another direction, motioning for him to follow. "I guess since I owe it to you.."
She walked for a few yards and sure enough like she said, there was a bush of dark colored berries sitting near the water where it would get plenty of moisture and sunlight for growth.
