The G.I. Joe and 4Kids websites are advertising a new G.I. Joe cartoon starting this September. The new series stars a team of five Joes with a new look: Duke, Scarlet, Heavy Duty, Tunnel Rat, and Snake Eyes. In the crappy preview video, I think I saw Jinx and Kamakura there too, so there's no telling how many Joes are going to make an appearance. I'm thinking that the five listed on the website make up the primary team, and other members will pop in and out when needed. 4Kids Sigma6 websiteThe website also features a really poor quality preview of the new show, and some pictures and bios of the Sigma6 team. So far, the only clue as to who makes up the Cobra team is Cobra Commander. Storm Shadow will most likely be there, in all his badass ninja glory. whee A new Sigma6 action figure line has also been announced, but they're ugly. Now I will make my comment on what I know.
The toy line was advertised first, and the first five were Spirit, Duke, Heavy Duty, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow. The toys look allot like they were based upon Small Soliders.
As for the Cartoon, I think they're trying to imitate anime too much. What in the world is up with Tunel Rat's look, and why are they using Heavy Duty and not Roadblock?

Roadblock was to busy flimming his T.V. show Kiss Your Mamma Home Cooking, as well as adevertising his Marvin Hinton grill, "Knocks out snakes, makes great steaks!"

I'm not too fond of the trend of imitating the anime style these days, but I gotta admit again, Scarlet looks hot. Then again, TUNNEL RAT!! WHY?!
Hasbro seems to be more fond of Heavy Duty than Roadblock. I dunno. I'm reeeeaally hoping someone doesn't get an annoying voice actor, and someone will die horribly if Snake Eyes gets one at all. I'm going to be timidly tuning in on the 10th, should I remember on time. sweatdrop

You see there is no problem with Snake-Eye talking so long as he doesn't do it often, in the comics he's kinda a Silent Bob. He only talks when he needs to. I think through a run of 155 comics he only did it once. He said Scarlet.
That's one thing I'm hoping to see, put Snake Eye and Scarlet together like they're ment to be. Not Scarlet and Duke, Scarlet and Snake Eye.
I also hope if Kamakura's going to be in it, they better have Wild Bill. I know Scarlet is a chopper pilot, but if they leave out Wild Bill I may have to hurt a Scarlet action figure.
I guess I don't mind Heavy Duty so long as they give him hair, he wasn't bald when he first showed up, don't try and emulate a charater you're not using.

After watching the first two eps I'm going to reserve my judgment for a bit. Although it seems they didn't mimick Anime, they actaully got a Japanese studio to Animate the sieres. Still since it's American writers it doesn't count as Anime in my book.

and why did they fire ripper and hire that load of crap. Cobra Commanders voice actor meets my expectations as well and overkills.

I don't like Cobra Commander's outfit. gonk Everything was fine and dandy until he put on the helmet, now he's a fashion disaster. xd I'm disappointed to see the Dreadnok lineup too, because I sorta hoped to see the entire gang of them.
Strange clothing design aside, I enjoy the shows. The voice actors are good and Tunnel Rat is already my favorite character of the show. I'm glad they didn't make him the character I was expecting him to turn out to be. whee

Okay, I'm annoyed that Fox didn't show GIJoe for the last two week. Or ate least not down here.
I did see the first wave in stores. I'm half temped to get Snake Eye's he doesn't look that bad.

They didn't show them there? What did you get instead? They showed them here in Indiana. You sure they just didn't do anything wierd with changing around the time slot or something?
Yeah, I saw the pictures of the toys again, and I'm contemplating getting Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow when I have the money.
Did they ditch Kamakura and Jinx? eek I was really warming up to Kamakura, especially since it seems they made him into as much of a silly character as Tunnel Rat.
