Premise

Basically, group of geeks get together and are like, "Hey, lol. We love these characters and want to make them real. Let's do it!"

Years later, they have their own corporation, etc. and begin to play with genetics, manipulating them into creating the characters.

They then market this endeavor out to the world as "designer" children, letting other people pick their favorite characters and adopt them for a fee, as an adoption of agency of CRAZY.

Setting

I'd prefer Gaia. I like to have my big happy families of doom on Gaia with my RP characters and the like. Yeah, I'm lame. :'D

Stages

Toddler, Child, Teen Adult? Do we want more, like Baby, Pre-Teen, Youth?

Kids

While the kids would look like the characters, they are NOT actually the characters. As in, they probably won't have the same personality, so you can go wild with that and you also do not have to name them the same thing as the character. Different names would kind of be awesome.

Prices

Since there will be more than one artist, and I might do an additional artist search, so we've got a few, I'd like prices on these.

I know the B/C forum is insanely expensive for the most part, so I would like the amount to be something that would keep people interested in the shop (artists and players alike), but still affordable.

Bribes, customs, and pet trades would be allowed, as long as that artist is willing to fulfill their end.

NPCs

A mule, maybe? I'm actually kind of leery of the idea of a mule, to be honest. I'd rather have the artists of the kids in flatsales be sent the trades directly (say Artist A draws two kids that are won, those two people send them the trades to Artist A; Artist B does three that are won, those three send the trades to Artist B).

Though I guess if the trades are sent directly to the artists, then a mule would work for updates and things. Sorry, I'm typing a lot of this as it pops into my head.

RP

I'd like RP required, but we can set up what needs to be done for the next stages, like X amount of journal entries, etc, that can be done over whatever amount of time the owner feels like doing. Also, a time span, like 2-3 months per stage, give or take on a couple of them (like if an Infant stage is done).

Er... anything else?

All staff gets first pick of one or two kids. I'll draw them unless another artist would like to or if you'd like someone else to do it and they agree. Also, you guys on the staff list, if you want to be part of the shop, say who you want. :3

Taken

- Larxene [Kingdom Hearts]
- Ariel [The Little Mermaid]
- Axel [Kingdom Hearts]
- Demyx [Kingdom Hearts]
- Simon [Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann]

...Yeah, I''m a whore. Shush.

Eee, this is an even cooler idea than just a plain ol' KH thingee. Argh, who could I choose for a character? I'll have to delve deep into my dork-dom so I can get somebody interesting.

I like the idea of the manymany stages, so you don't have to do a massive amount of journaling for each one (plus you get lots of lovely art to look forward to!). Your total will still be considerable, but you can only have a requirement of say, one or two solo journal entries and two interactive roleplays of some sort.

Affordability is a big factor... Like with the GMFC, which is a lovely lovely shop, but you have to have millions to win one of their auctions. A liiiittle off-putting.

I know! I love the GMFC, but I hate how they're almost auctions only recently. I'd kind of like to stay away from auctions for the most part and do more flatsales than anything else.

Alright, I think the extra stages will be good too. I really like the idea, too, and it's been fun so far drawing characters at different stages in their lives. *dork*

Erm... Hm. With more stages, though, what would be reasonble? 25k? That seems almost piddly in comparison to a lot of places. XD;;

Lots of flatsales, sounds wonderful! <3<3 Auctions are just for super-special occasions, like... Oh, characters from Bleach or Naruto or any of those shows that everyone and their sister fangirls about. And we should have charity events too, where all the proceeds go towards somebody's pet quest or summat.

Um... How about 30k, for starters? If we're going to have like eight stages, might as well make this an investment. Plus I do like gold. 8D;;

Ooh, I agree on the charity events! Maybe for the first event we could do a flatsale and then an all Naruto auction (and exclude Naruto from the flatsale)? Artists could keep the normal flatsale price from the auction for themselves and then the extra will go to charities on Gaia and things like that? ...I'm just always really paranoid about shops becoming gold mongers. XD;; Kind of my personal problem.

Alright, 30k, then. XD I'm going to go mostly off artists for the pricing since... yeah, drawing the stuff.

The charity thing sounds so cool! =D Cause that way it'd be helping out the Gaian community as a whole, as well. ^^

Sososoooo, here are my artish examples. xD;
I included two that are coloured (Though one of them isn't really finished being coloured. ._.;; ) so you could get an idea of that, as well. <3
And um, if you're wondering why pretty much all of them have somewhat animal/item attributes, it's because I'm going through a phase where I like drawing that sort of stuff. xD;
If you want some examples that aren't of that sort of thing, I'd be glad to make one for you. <3
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Ermerm... so yeah. I hope I didn't put too may examples. ._. *Suddenly nervous* >>

Edit: Ooh! Could I... Could I have Axel and Demyx from KH? =D (Or am I being too greedy? XD)

Having a lot of examples is always good and don't worry about the animal parts. My last drawing phase that I went through was bunnies. That was aaaall that I would draw for months. XD

But your samples look lovely and I would love to have you on as an artist for the shop. <3

Axel and Demyx are yours~ (Ahaha, mini-Organization, so cute.)

Yay! *Dances* Now I'm all excited. x3
Aww! Bunnies are cute! I bet you got really good at drawing them. xD
Yesh~ t'would be funny if they all ended up banding together to pull pranks and whatnot. xD (Demdem and Axel prolly would anyhow.)

I FINALLY DECIDED WHO I WANT.

Save me Simon, from Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. * * I'll probably ask for another later, but I know I want him. Eee.
And I had an idea that sometimes kids who've already reached, say, the Child stage or something are up for grabs in an event, for slightly discounted price. They could be flawed experiments or something. <3
PostPosted: Tue Apr 08, 2008 6:14 pm

Oh, possibly~ I kind of had an idea that maybe sometimes parents could "pick" genetics for the kids, like changing the hair/eye colour or adding a feature, but then I decided against suggesting it because it might get ridiculous (like five million kids with kitty ears and angel wings and stuff like that). That would work more for failed experiments, though, added things.

Though Sephiroth mixed with an octopus greatly amuses me. Octoroth. And that was vaguely non-sequitor, but I've had that in my head since last night.

Octoroth sounds hilarious. And full of tentacle-y opportunities. XD The add-ons can be excused with "DNA contamination" of some sort. Like, somebody dropped a cat-hair in the mixture by accident; one of the risks of a human-operated system, I suppose...
