I wanted to do a bit of origami the other day, searched around online a bit, and found this website

http://www.thepeaceofpaper.robogumby.com/2007/07/16/kusadama-flowers/

these flowers are so easy to make and look amazing. you all who like paper craft should give these a shot. you can arrange them with stems into a bouquet, or just about anything. I made hanging flowers :

what do you all think? any ideas for other uses of these Kusadama flowers?

They're gorgeous! I especially like the music one. Is it possible to make them quite small? I think they'd look cute on top of a present as decoration, or a few small ones glued in a row on a hair barrette.

Very nice!

I like Chisa's ideas for something to do with them (I'd laquer them first if I were putting them on a barrette though)

did you use origami paper?

I'm also thinking they could be used to create a doll with the flower as the dress...

Wow, those are really neat! *book marks link*
I might have to try that, seeing as I'm in this semi-origami phase right now. But I first I need to figure out what to do with the pile of finished cranes I have on my desk xD

sure, you can make them smaller! the girl from the link said she enjoys making them out of post-it note squares. the bigest flowers are made from 5 12X12 inch squares, and the smallest was 5 4X4 squares. I will say when you make them smaller they become harder to fold, depending on how thick the paper is. another good trick: attatching the petals together with double sided tape instead of glue.

They'd make such cute hair barrettes! what a great idea 3nodding

when I was thinking about hanging paper items, I first thought of cranes! you could do that with the cranes you made. just a little fishing line, and a tack.

did you know that you can make a ball with it, if you combine a lot of these flowers together, i made one a while back but i lost the picture hahaha>.<, the way i learn it was a bit different when folding each petals, but i think you can still make the ball of flower with it=D
