Grillows: my anti-GSR!
Admittedly it isn't cannon (yet), but for a while in the first few seasons the idea of Grissom and Catherine getting together wasn't that insane. It still isn't, actually, as they keep having 'moments' of their own! Plus, now that Sara has gone, once Grissom gets over her, the potential returns...
I admit, I became a Grillows fan primarily because I got tired of people ranting on and on about GSR but now...They really would make a good couple in a very bizarre way. In my opinion they're better suited for each other than Grissom and Sara were anyway; whilst Grissom/Sara has the slight edge of 'former student loves mentor' weirdness (it is always weird when you fall for a teacher/mentor, in fiction or reality - just trust me on this one), Grissom/Catherine has a more mature, mutual respect, companionship and trust kinda background.
So maybe I'll get ranted at even more by the GSR fans because I've openly admitted to not liking GSR and preferring Grillows more, but hey ho, nothing will alter my preferences! mrgreen

Personally I don't like Sara, never had, but the idea of Cat and Gil getting together....never thought about it. But now that I do I can see it. But what I hate is Sara and Gil getting together...For some odd reason I just don't like it. But this is the first time I've ever heard of a Grillows.

*shrugs*
In the end I'd rather see Cat and Gil rather than Gil and Sara. I can agree over not liking Gil and Sara actually getting together, it just seemed like a bad thing, even if it brought a new dynamic to the show.
Believe it or not, I found Grillows over on youtube where people are still devoted to the pairing. You know, making videos, swearing it'll happen one day...Probably won't happen but the thought that the pairing is possible gives me some happiness when surrounded by GSR fans. I like Sara, she was a great character, but I really hope the writer's resolve Gil and Sara's relationship once and for all - even if it means Sara kicking the proverbial bucket at some point. I just want closure on the relationship instead of the writers annoyingly trying to hint at how things are...!

Type in 'grissom catherine' or 'grillows' in the search and you'll find hundreds, maybe thousands of vids dedicated to the pairing. Kinda weird...but some of them are actually pretty good.
I hope that Cat and Gil have a chance, but based on the last episode (Grissom's Divine Comedy), I doubt it...Damn that final phonecall!!!

At the end of the day all that matters is YES! Finally! Other people who love CathXGil and dislike GSR!! You are my new favourite people just so you know whee
I was so angry when GSR was made cannon. Not because I had to have Cath and Gil together but because Sara and Gil don't go together. It was such a random choice (in my opinion).
I have felt that there was a chemistry between them in the early seasons and even know. They are more equals then Gris and Sara would ever be.
You have no idea how happy I am that there are other anti-GSR people and pro Grillows mrgreen

Our numbers - they're growing... twisted
So pleased to meet another anti-GSR/pro-Grillows person! Seems strange but it really has made me happy to know that I'm not alone; even if a sort-of member of my family has just confessed to feeling the same way, this is different.
Yeah, G/S being made cannon was a bit of a bad move. Interesting, sure, but...like I've said before (I think), it took something from the show. I can understand why they were put together (just), but still a wrong move!
I agree completely over the 'equals' thing; not only are they closely equal in terms of status in the lab, Cath is the only one out of the group aside from Brass who can call/question Gil on things without fear of repercussion. He's accepted her as an equal, and that happened long before the clear signs of GSR began.
The chemistry between Cath and Gil has lessened of late, but that seems to be because the series is still trying to get back on its feet after Sara's departure. Hopefully we'll see the pair back to normal soon.
Oh, and you're a favourite person of mine too, now even if I'm jealous that you've got the new Rock On stuff from the cash shop! heart

I agree completely! Rawr I have hated GSR since I first heard the pairing, and it seemed to be the most popular which made me all weirded out DX.
I think it would have been better to left to the fandom because it made no logical sense in the grand scheme of things. The only thing more random was Warrick's marriage. And how they just randomly bring it up now and then just so that people don't forget XD
Hehehe, thanks XD I actually don't buy cash, just the donation, er I mean monthly collectibles (I still call them donation items) XD

The pairing will forever bug me...which is a shame as I've just brought the complete season 7 box-set and am working through the episodes; and I know the relationship gets a lot of focus towards the end....For the record, I was chanting 'no-no-no-no-no' as Greg was pummelled during Fannysmackin' - Greg is one of my favourite characters so the whole episode was a bit evil to me (if you get what I mean). I hope they bring back some of Greg's former humour soon (in S7 and S8 ); I doubt they will after that ep but I can hope, right...?
Back on topic...! Warrick's marriage didn't really bother me; okay, a little random, but it made him happy for a while, right? Though they're using his divorce in the same way, which is kinda predictable! XD
CSI used to have the policy of characters 'leaving their lives at home'; they could chat about their lives, the show could show a few moments of it, but the focus was on their manner at work and how they related to the evidence/the case/each other in a work context. With GSR they seemed to throw this policy out of the window! I'm not sure whether that is hypocritical or ironic...though, I'm not sure if they ever applied this rule to Catherine, the writers seem to really enjoy poking around her life (not that I'm complaining - I like learning more about Cath)!
I have one cash shop item, which I was given by a generous friend and that'll be the only one I ever have. The items are cool, but I have a policy of not paying using 'real' money for anything on sites like this - I want to break the rule sometimes but generally I don't see the point. Still, I want the Rock On items so much...!

At the end of the day all that matters is Arg Warricks marriage was so random. They just mentioned it every now and then like "oh, have I mentioned that I'm married?------Married here! See my ring!-------married are I----------------married...me!------------" etc they would randomly mention it so that it wasn't like "wtf?"
Rawr! I know! I hate that they went back to their house DX I was like "nooooooooooooo -insert scream face-" it made me angry. And the dog DX I love dogs but that seemed sooooo out of character for them. Both Gris and Sarah seemed like cat people. RAWR! DX
Yea, I do feel a bit stupid, but I love the items gonk so I ignore my logical side. Besides I love gaia ^_^

That's true! Constant "Hey, did you realise I'm married?" through out the eps. I wonder if Warrick kept forgetting he was married and told the guys everytime he re-discovered his wedding ring... xd
Yep, Warrick's marriage was one of the stranger wtf moments (outside of the cases - they're in their own league...)!
Given that I want Grissom's house, I'm not going to complain that they showed us it (!) - in Grissom's Divine Comedy it made sense to see him ill at home, the other times we've seen it have been okay, but it all depends on the context/why we get to see the place. I agree about the dog - Gris definetly should be a cat person!!! Unless he's worried it might make like every other cat on the planet and eat the bugs he's got on display...! Over Sara....*shrugs* She didn't really strike me as a pet person.
How much do they cost anyway? The monthly items I mean. Oh, and I love Gaia too, but I'm not inclined to start paying for things. smile

At the end of the day all that matters is Yeah that really bothered me, I was like "wtf?? Okay Warrick we believe you, we know your "married" you don't have to tell us every five minutes" XD
Yeah the cases were like "normal" in the first two season, then really really odd in like 3 and 4, and then returned to semi normality. I find this season just to be goofy.
lol yeah, I like it though that one epi at the end where Catherine was at his house. XD
Yes Gris is for sure a cat person. Sara I thought would have a cat since she was doing all the other typical single woman things. XD
They cost about 2.50 a piece. They cost me a bit more then that since I am Canadian XD

Absolutely! XD
But Warrick's gone off the rails a little since the end of his marriage, it is a little weird...
The thing is, all the cases are at least some way plausable. Odd, but believable...Over season 8, my favourite episode doesn't feature actual cases - I love the ep with Hodges and his board-game!
Cath's visit was justified in my view - so I agree. Was a cool moment.
Grissom is a cat person...Sara could be a dog person (gets her out of the house and meeting people).
Being British, it might actually be cheaper for me! Hmmm...might have to look into next months items...!

At the end of the day all that matters is Yeah I think the characters as a whole have all gone a bit bonkers XD
My favourite epi this season was that one. Its hilarious!!!! So funny XD Yup that was my favourite of season 8
I don't know, for some reason I think animals would die around Sarah, I don't know why, I just think she would be a poor guardian XD
Yes its fun to buy them...cept with me not having a job...heh...heh...I am working on getting one though XD

Especially Brass...For some reason it appears to me like he's lost it a little...! But yeah, everyone has gone a little nuts this season. Something in the coffee, maybe...? XD
I have a confession to make....I hadn't really watched CSI, then I caught the ad/promo for that episode (I think its called 'You Kill Me'), it made me alugh and I decided to tune in. I watched, laughed, loved, and decided to watch more. Now I'm completely obsessed with the show! But I think the next one ('Theory of Everything') will become my favourite for the sheer and simple fact that Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman guest star/cameo in it...! XD
*shrugs* I can see that. Maybe she'd be a little too absent minded for pets...! For some reason, I can imagine her forgetting to feed her pets time after time!
Hey, I lack a job too! But nobody wants to hire me...Well, I don't know if they want to hire me or not, I keep forgetting to apply to places...heh...heh.....heh.....*ahem* But I am looking for one (or at least, that's my defence for not having a job at the moment)!
