So, I just got back from my first day of training, at McDonald''s. Minimum wage, no real downtime while you''re working, hot grease, and the occasional a*****e, plus whatever those weird loopy things around the collar are, true... but also an income, cheaper/free food, a reason to drive, and experience. And the hat and shirt are kinda cool, as long as the shirt isn''t buttoned.
Besides, if you''re a 19-year-old claiming to have had no previous employment experience, with no really marketable skill, you''re not the most employable person, especially if you''re about to be a full-time student again. A job is a job. I haven''t slept in 27 hours, so if you can''t pick a discussion out of that, apologies and some tags. +Leaving things off applications +Your job, if you have one, and how employable you think you are. +Uniforms +Your marketable skills. +Would you like fries with that? =D +White text and how useful it is.

Right now, I'm just an office assistant at a local country club.. but I'm the only employee up there who doesn't just sit around with their thumb up their a**..
I'm also a full time student, but big deal, college isn't exactly tough for me.
Don't have a uniform.. they tried to force one on me, and I just walked out. I got called 2 days later, my boss needed me back.. he said on the phone - "I NEED someone who knows what the hell they're doing!"
I may have some marketable skills, but I don't advertise them, really.. typing 60 wpm.. filing, various financial needs, customer service - though I'm an a*****e, I know HOW to do.. may not like it.. but at least I can if necessary..
Plus other various random engineering tasks..

I'm only 15, but I applied for a job at the beginning of the summer, because my Kindergarden teacher, and my old babysitters mother started to take over the summer program at my old elementary school. Because my old librarian and one of the 1st grade teachers who used to run it, were embezling funds, I feel really good about all the time I spent with them in lifetime now. Anyway, they thought I would like to help them with the summer program, so they told my mother about it, and then I did decide to apply. But, then the priest, the most boring priest in the world, who ended up leaving at the beginning of the summer anyway, decided that you have to be at least 17 to work at the summer program. So, I tried, I failed. And there isn't anything else that would interest me as a job, besides I could have walked there from my grandmothers and it wouldn't have been an inconveinance to anyone. *huff*
When we were in Massachussets one summer, we saw a BKU, a Burger King University, lol. And my mother took pictures of me and my sister in front of it. It was so funny.

i've been at my old fashion job for 7 months now. which for me is good. cause i suck at applying myself. it's reitmans (women's clothing store for older ladies) so i get some nice blouses every now and again. and i'm the most immature there. but i can do that because they dont' give me much money. gonk

Let's see... I'm 17 years old and I do in home care. I'm pretty much a CNA without the official training. And I still go to school. I wear spiffy scrubs to work. They're comfortable. And yes I want fries, but since my older brother works at McDonald's, I'll just go there.
