Pittsburgh, PA April 1, 2008 ~ After much talk behind closed doors,Suburban Noize is proud to present a new expansion and imprint: DefaceMarketing.
Deface Marketing has been the leader in the underground musicscene since 2001, helping to bring out talent in the form of Jackyl, TwistedThoughts, Sickle Cell, and others. Today, the label boasts a variety of styles, including nerdcore , NerdzEatin’ Shroomz, hip hop wordsmith, emcee lb; hip hop crap stars, CRAP; andhorrorcore producer extraordinaire, Dr. Espling.
The label also has several spin-off projects, also includedin the acquisition, including the Wrestling Mayhem Show podcast, which has seenguests from across the wrestling scene, including WWE and TNA superstars, aswell as American Gladiators. “We alwayssaid we wanted to interview Eric Bishoff and Vince McMahon. Now we might have the pull to make thathappen…” said show co-host, Chad “the Shad” Fowler.
Empire Extreme is the underground magazine that has madewaves for several years, securing big interviews and big distribution deals,but has always suffered from financial shortcomings in its grassrootsapproach. Now with the capital of thismerger, the magazine will receive a complete national reboot.
WesternPAJuggalos.com, originally an Insane Clown Posse fansite, has expanded to cover and interview stars of Suburban Noize, StrangeMusic, and the independent, unsigned scene across the nation. “With the new backing, this site will be ableto expand to the social media hub for all of the underground that we’ve alwaysstrived to be.” Michael Sorg, Vice President of Deface Marketing.
