The sun had just risen and dawns light was bathing the field in a warm glow. Gaven stood in the middle of a wide open field, grazing lazily on tender leafs of grass. A quiet and gentle breeze blew, chilling Gaven. He shuddered, but continued to graze.

She'd followed the thick black clouds until they had slowly disappeared into nothing, with a faint shy she flicked her tail and looked around. Audra loved to follow the storm, it was in her blood..even in her name. Audra meant storm in Lithuanian, and ,so it was only natural she always loved storms..
Coming upon the open field, she paused, ears perked forward as she listened for any dangers before she stepped into the meadow, sky blue eyes danced as she looked over the lush meadow, finding that she had forgotten to eat in a couple days..She shook her head with a faint chuckle.
Stepping into the opening, she then spied the stallion munching away himself...she continued forward...

Gaven, upon raising his head from getting a mouthful of grass, spied the mare coming towards him. His heart skipped a beat; though not out of love, but out of excitement. This was the first soquili he had seen since he had come down from the mountains, and the prospect of making a new friend thrilled him. So excited was he, Gaven turned on a dime and trotted over to the mare whose colors were as mysterious and enthralling like a tempest storm. "Hewwo!" Gaven called out, nearly choking on the grass in his mouth that he had forgotten about. He blushed in embarrassment at his own action and flicked his braided tail nervously.

She let out a soft laugh with a soft tsk following after words, "You should have chewed first still...Tis not like Im going to disappear anytime soon.." She sent him a charming smile as she tossed her braided mane. "Hello yourself Sir.." She lowered her muzzle, and gave a slight nibble to the grass, lifting her she she finished what was in her mouth.
"Im Audra...Its nice to see someone out here." She flicked her tail, the half braid jingled ever so slightly as she shifted on her hooves, "I havent seen another in days.." She nodded her head, "Storm chasing is a lonely passion..but worth it during the right storms.."

"You wouldn't want to chase any storms where I come from. There, the storms chase you. One second you're admiring a nice sunset, the next your knee deep in snow." Gaven replied without thinking. He took a few steps forward and nodded a greeting. "My name is Gaven. It's a pleasure to meet you." He sighed and was silent for a moment. "You're the first soquili I've met since I've got here."

"A storm with fight! I like the sound of that." She tilted her head to the side and eyed him for a long second. "So where are you from? I've never met anyone who isnt from around here.." Ears perked as she awaited an answer.
"Oh? Well, hmm I suppose its a pity Im the first...nothing overly exciting or exotic about me.." She smiled, "Though welcome to the land, its always a pleasure to have some new blood..Specially new handsome blood." She smiled. She could flirt a bit...

"I'm from the mountains. Blizzards in winter can put up a nasty fight for sure; trust me, those are storms no one wants to chase least they be frozen to death. But the aftermath is quite lovely." Gaven murmured as he thought back to the many cold mornings he would wake to find his world solid white with an icy glow as the suns rays danced across it's surface. He gave a sigh in his remembrance before turning his attention back to Audra.
He gave a slight frown as she basically called herself plane. From what he saw and had heard from her so far she lead a very interesting life. "Why do you say it is a pity that I met you first? Can you honestly tell me of any other soquili that would go out of her way to chase down what she loves? I'd say that is very exciting. I'd say that I'm lucky to have met someone like you first."
His frown turned into a slight smirk as she complimented him. He didn't think he was handsome, but he believed that to be because he wasn't vein. "Thank you for the welcome, but I bet you've met plenty of handsomer stallions. I bet with a single wink from those alluring blue eyes you'd have a whole herd of soquili chasing after you."

With a snort at his last comment, a laugh soon followed suit, her beads and feathers clinked together creating a soft sound of almost music with her movements. "No no, Im not ugly I know...but compared to some of the mares out there Im not the prettiest girl in the meadow.." She cocked her head to the side and smiled at him.
"No Ive no interest in freeze to death from snow or chill, but Im sure that the call of the storm will most likely be what to take my last breath away..Though that is far from now.." She nibbled at the grass a bit.
Finishing the mouthful of grass she held, she moved a bit closer to him. "So your from the mountains, Im not supposed to go up there. The only promise I made my mother besides that I'd take care of myself that I wouldnt go up there without someone who knows the land.." She nodded her head.
"..Its dangerous up there, but the storms Im told can be the most beautiful of the land.." She tossed her mane, "But a promise is a promise..and I love my mum dearly.."

"Beauty isn't only looks though, it is also a state of mind." Gaven offered. "Some of the prettiest mares can be the ugliest creatures on the inside, doing nothing but snapping and demanding, putting others down. Conceited fools." He shook his head softly. He turned to look at Audra once more, staring deep into her blue eyes. "The only true beauty out there is a mare that has a beautiful personality to couple her looks."
He stayed quiet and listened to Audra talk about her mom. "A promise is a promise." He decided not to comment on the part of the promise of only going to the mountains with someone that knew the territory. He knew the territory well, he lived up there his whole life after all, but that could wait for another day. "Your mom okay? I don't mean to pry, but you speak of the promise like she is... gone, but you speak of you love for her like she is still here?"

"Oh, my mother is still with us..gods know that the day she passes on, is the day my father becomes my shadow." She wrinkled her nose with a soft laugh, "He'd go insane without her.." She loved her parents, and the special love and unique bond the pair shared was something she hoped to achieve one day...one day.
"Your right, ones personality can outshine any outter beauty one may have. A pretty face can be twisted into ugliness with words easily.." She nibbled at the grass a bit more, she continued to keep her gaze on the stallion not to far from herself. "Im not out to have others decide for me if Im beautiful or not..Im not that shallow, or vain.." Her nose twitched slightly.

Gaven blushed a bit, his blue cheeks taking a purple hue. He felt bad implying that Audra's mother had passed on, but it had been a question out of curiosity. In that moment he wished his parents had still been alive. He wondered if they had the same relationship that Audra's did, one of love and devotion. "Would your father truly go insane if your mother was not about?" He asked. It seemed odd that that would happen, but he wouldn't put it past love's wild ways to do so.

Audra chuckled and nodded her head, "He'd be completely lost..He didnt know who he was when they met. She helped him piece together his past, its how they fell in love.." It was one of the most romantic stories she'd ever heard, and one of her most favorite.
"Purple looks good on you.." She teased him playfully, her own coat danced as she turned side ways, gentle blue gaze on the stallion.

"But it isnt my natural color..." Gaven mumbled as Audra mentioned his blushing, causing him only to get brighter. "It looks quite a bit better on you I must say." He watched as she turned, making a mental not of how her colors danced and swayed almost like a rolling cloud as she did so. She looked almost as though she was a living storm cloud that walked the earth. He thought of for a moment what it would be like for her on the mountains, on the stony cliffs, able to look at the clouds that floated past only feet from her.
Attempting to will the color from his face he turned his thoughts to Audra's father once more. "Your father would still have you though wouldn't he? Your siblings? Would you and they not be able to keep him in peace and mine, insanity free?"

"True, and ones natural coloration is as much apart of them, as their voice, its theirs, and theirs alone.." She smiled, her tail flicked out behind her, beads and feathers clinking together.
She watched him, he looked as if he'd be one with a moving river, the shift of colors, the dazzling blues, it made her smile. She enjoyed a good splash in the river.
"Ah, yes he'd have us. Though, he knows I wouldnt be able to stay in one place for long, and my sister has her new family..it'd be him and my brother mostly.." She sighed, she didnt sound very caring there..But her father understood her ways.
