(I know, I suck at rp titles.) Tooki had spent most of the day investigating near the trees, now it was time to check out the big open plains. He'd crossed the river already and begun looking at the various flowers.
When he'd seen at least three different colors, Tooki got bored. He decided to see if he could run all the way across the plains, and how fast he could make it.

Sighing happily, the mare left her buttercup behind and hopped about the field happily, chasing a leaf that was blowing in the gentle breeze. Yolk loved everything about the spring time, be it the new life it brought or the color that came back to the land. This overly happy mare enjoyed everything every season had to offer. She loved the blooming flowers in the spring, the vivid colors of the summertime, the leaves falling in autumn and the snowflakes in the winter. There wasn't much about anything that Yolk didn't like in truth.
That day she was found enjoying the atmosphere the spring time had brought. The winter was beautiful and silent but the spring had many great things to offer as well. Multi-colored spots could be seen against a white coat as the mare searched the field for more yellow colored things. She was ready to start her day and it seemed the search for her favourite color was a great way to start it. Happy, content, and ready for anything, this mare truly was a vision of optimism and overall cheerfulness.

Tooki was making his way back when he spotted the mare, slowing down and nearly running past her. He trotted back and blinked, looking her spots over. When he noticed her nose and mouth were yellow, the stallion couldn't help but nicker. "You're not supposed to stick your nose in buttercups. It gets yellow on you."

Yolk noticed the stallion and a grin spread across her face, her ears pricked forward and her golden eyes were filled with excitement and emotion. She was going to make a new friend! Of course it never occurred to her that the new "friend" might have ill intentions. Oh no, the world was all buttercups and rainbows made up of shades of yellow in her mind. The poor mare didn't quite realize that there were bad Soquili and other beings in the world. Nope, she'd never met one so she had no reason to believe there were any! Sadly, her philosophies on life were often very wrong and... got her into trouble.
Luckly for Yolk, this stallion didn't seem to be mean, actually, he seemed to want to save her from a horrible life of yellow stained noses! Well, it was a bit too late to save Yolk now but the thought was a nice one. In all honesty, the warning was a little unneeded because Yolk seemed to think this was nonsense! Had she taken a peek at her own nose she may have realized it was bright yellow! ...but that was just too easy. Grinning, the little mare giggled, "No way! You're silly, buttercups couldn't do anything like that. They're yellow and nothing yellow has ever done anything bad to me! Do you like the color yellow?"

Tooki was a little confused, tilting his head and looking atthe mare. "But...you'renoseis yellow."
He smiled, watching her. At least she seemed nice. He wondered if she liked racing. "I don't know about yellow...but do you like to race?"

"My nose is yellow?" Yolk asked in shock as she crossed her eyes, attempting to look at her own nose. She didn't really mind if it was yellow, it was her favourite color! ...but either way, she wanted to find out. After a moment or so she giggled and nodded, "I suppose it is! ..but I love yellow! I don't mind if it's yellow." It made sense, for who wouldn't want to wear their favourite color and sport it for the world to see? She was definitely proud of her yellow nose, sort of like Rudolph and his red one. "If you don't like yellow you must like some color? What's your favourite color?"
When she was questioned about racing her ears pricked and she cocked her head to the side, peering at the stallion. "Racing... like... running...? I don't really like to run! You miss all the pretty yellow things when you're running! How can you enjoy the scenery if the world is a blur?" the mare giggled. Yolk loved to putt along and take her jolly time, racing wasn't for her. Her brown tail flicked behind her and she sighed softly, looking up to the sky, "Did you know the sun is yellow?" she gasped.
Her attention seemed to always be on yellow things... or maybe that's just how she was today.

"Sometimes it looks pretty as a blur," Tooki replied, stamping his foot defensively. He sighed and looked up, then back at her, "You sure do like yellow."
The stallion thought about it, then looked at his hooves, "I like the color of my hooves, I suppose. My father only has one this color. I like the color of my mane and tail, and the color of my coat."
That sounded like a good answer. He didn't really know what colors he liked, he'd never thought about it. This mare sure was aware of the little things.

"I guess so!" the mare smiled as he stamped his foot, "Everyone's different! I just like to take my time, I'm not very fast," she giggled. This stallion was strange to Yolk, she didn't understand why he didn't like the color yellow. It seemed he didn't know why she liked it either, they were both confused! Not that she minded too much, everybody was different, like she'd just told him. She'd always like yellow and he didn't, that didn't mean they couldn't be friends right? Or maybe friendship was based on color liking... she didn't know!
Yolk nodded as he spoke about his favourite colors, she liked all those colors too, but they were nothing like yellow! If friendship had to be based on colors they could be friends because she definitely loved blue and purple too! "I think those are beautiful colors! Just... they're not yellow," she giggled.
"I never thought about liking more than one color... I like yellow more than anything so I don't think I could like another that much!" she sighed happily, "..but I guess it's possible to like more than one! You sure you don't have a favourite?" she questioned.

"Hrmm. I suppose it'd be red," Tooki lifted a hoof, inspecting it. "My father has one red hoof, and I think I got them from him. They remind me of him...since I can't visit him all the time."
He looked up at her, "Is that why you like yellow? It reminds you of something?"

"Aww, so you're close to your family?" the mare giggled, "I wish I could go visit my family all the time! They like yellow too... I think." Poor Yolk didn't even realize she was probably annoying the new stallion with all her talk of the color yellow. It was an obsession she couldn't quite get over, she loved the color yellow more than anything else in the entire world. In fact... if there were enough buttercups in the world to only eat those, she would have forgotten about grass entirely!
She pondered his question for a moment before shaking her head, multicolored brown hair shaking with her head, "Nope, I just like it," she giggled softly. "You must have something you like just because you like it for no particular reason," Yolk rambled on, "I mean... there doesn't have to be reasons for everything does there?" the young mare gasped.

"I suppose not. I like to run cause it's fun. I don't know why it's fun to me, just is," Tooki told the mare, chuckling slightly. "Do you ever roll in the buttercups...to make yourself yellow?"
The stallion blinked, then nodded slightly. "I suppose I'm close to them. I visit my father. I see my mother a lot...and sometimes my grandmother."

Running was fun...? Nope, she couldn't really see that... it was good to get you places faster and perhaps it was enjoyable but... not fun. Everyone had their own opinions though, maybe there was something she found fun but he didn't! Well, she already knew that she thought yellow was a pretty color and he didn't so it was definitely safe to say everybody was different! It was a good thing right, the world wouldn't be as fun as it normally was if everyone was the same now, would it?
Then there was that buttercup question to ponder... did she really want to be covered in yellow? No, yellow was an amazing color but she was certain she just liked to smell and explore the flowers with her nose, not smoosh them with her heavy body! So, quickly shaking her head, Yolk replied, "Nope, I don't think so! I like to sniff them, rolling in them would ruin them! They're too pretty to be ruined," she quickly stated.
That said, she peered at a green flower bud with the tiniest bit of yellow poking out, it'd grow soon and she'd have more flowers to nuzzle. She wondered how long it would take though... did she have to wait days or was it going to open in a few minutes? She hoped she'd only have to wait a little while because she loved to watch new flowers open. Sometimes she sat for days watching them, too bad she didn't realize she'd been waiting that long...
Smiling at Tooki, Yolk giggled, "I'm glad you're so close to your family! It must make all of you very happy."

"What if you had a cloth that as the color of the flowers? Would you want to be covered in it?" Tooki asked, tilting his head. He'd never really known anyone infatuated with a color before. "I mean, if you weren't gonna get hot."
He thought about her comment on his family, then nodded a little. "Yeah...I guess. Don't you get to see your family?"
The stallion moved to circle her, looking at the flowers. This mare sort of looked like ones, with her spots. Maybe that's why she liked them. He decided to find out. "Do you like the flowers because you look like one?"
