I noticed after the race at Martinsivlle, that Kvapil and Gilliland, are in 22nd, and 24th in driver points. A definite improvement for the Yates organization since last year. Maybe they can make enough noise in the next little while to stir up a sponsor that will stay for more than 2 races. 3nodding

Travis Kvapil is a very good driver, but I think if you ask matt kenseth, david gilliland still doesn't now how to turn a steering wheel.

Kurokage Sanada that was funny, couldn't tell kenseth did that on purpose could you? *snort* No, why would he do something like that? All he did was get taken out for no good reason except someone in the racing business does not know how to drive biggrin

Kenseth seems to be getting into a lot of trouble the past few years.

The broadcasters made some goods points about Yates during the race, talking about them paying $300,000 a race and that being 4.5 million roughly. But, they didn't think about the sponsors they did have on the cars with gilliland and kvapil. So I would think they only paid about 2.5 million out of their own pockets.

Yates is so much better now that they have been getting sponsors every week and that they have been more confident. Gilliland finished 2nd at Infineon and that was impressive.

I hope they merge with the Wood brothers or field a third car or something.

Triple Homicide I hope they merge with the Wood brothers or field a third car or something. I think they will merge more than anything, because 3 are better than 2 and 1.

Yates just picked up Paul Menard, and a full time sponsor. What do you think now? Third car, or is Gilliland or Kvapil gonna have to find another job?

I would think they would stay with three cars, but if someone had to go, it would probably be daivid gilliland, travis has been more consistent, but both of them have the potential to have breakout years, if yates racing was how it was back in the early 2000's, they would probably be in the top 20 in points with a few more top 5's and 10's, maybe even a few wins.

I loved rooting for the Yates cars. They're my underdogs lol. I liked Kvapil's car at Darlington. That was old school.

They will be three cars but i didn't expect their lineup to include Bobby Labonte.
