Katsuo kicked a little dirt out of his way as he walked. This was definitely not going to be a relaxed year -not like when he was a freshman, when everything just happened to flow the way he wanted it to. It was only the start of the new year, and already, so much had happened. Most of it involved Roka, who was definitely going to get it for that... situation where he'd had to run from a crowd of girls. Which wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't have been furious at him for no reason.
He couldn't even do one thing without it getting messed up somehow. Not even a simple walk anymore. What was that noise? Oh, his ears were ringing. He pulled down his headphones and turned off the music. It was obviously too loud, nothing more than that. However, his ears stiill rung annoyingly. It would eventually go away, so he tried to ignore it as best he could.
He was on his way to the center of the labyrinth, taking only the appropriate turns to get to his destination. Today he'd neglected to bring his guitar, replacing it instead with the mp3 player in his pocket.

It was the start of a new year, and absolutely nothing had happened. Of course, she was still pretty new, but she had kept her profile low. Was she supposed to throw herself out there? That would be kind of attention hoggy, wouldn't it? Oh well. Perhaps she'd be a little more noticeable this year. She did kind of seclude herself the previous year... Contemplating this, the red-headed girl walked thorugh the maze at a sloth's pace. One hand glided lightly across the greenery that made up the maze, the other tapped at her chin.
Of course, walking through the maze wasn't helping her situation very much either. The only positive about this maze was that she could easily get lost in her thoughts without interruption. The negative? Well, she point blank got lost. She still was not used to the maze as she had only walked it once, and the first time and had kept mainly to the entrance. Now she wanted to get through it, but she wasn't in a rush.
Turning a corner sharply, the girl kept her gaze primarily down as she strode. Too deep in her thoughts, she didn't hear any footsteps or sounds that would alert her to another's being there.

Katsuo continued on his way. He was already almost near the center -only a few more minutes until he was finally in the calm gazebo where he could relax and stop thinking. Stop wondering about what Mitsuko thought of him, stop thinking about what he was going to do to Roka to get him back... It would have to be good.
It was just then that he realized his predicament. Maybe someone would be already in the center of the maze. That seemed to be the case whenever he went into the hedges. Normally, he wouldn't really mind meeting someone there, but today, he wanted to just be alone. What would he do? Should he turn back now, or just risk it? He could always turn around if he saw someone there, so for now, he continued walking toward his goal.
The last thing he'd expected was to bump into someone before he even got to the center. "Ah!" He yelled in surprise before falling sideways. The surprise was the last straw -he was out cold, passed out on the ground. From the way he landed, his dull blue hair almost completely covered his face.

The physical contact between something other than inanimate bushes brought the red-head from her thinking quite abruptly. As a natural reflex, she was quick to stumble back a little and shut her eyes. Her balance was decent enough, and apparently the bump wasn't too hard, because she was able to keep her balance. But the person she had knocked into...
Not so much.
It took Seraph a little longer than desired to react to the situation at hand. So she had taken a sharp turn in a maze and surprised and bumped into someone coming from the other side. That made coherent sense. But to make the person pass out? When she swallowed hard, she realized her mouth had fallen agape. "Oh dear..." She mumbled to herself, biting down on her lower lip as she took a quick glance around. This was a maze! What... How was she supposed to go get help without getting lost? Or how was she supposed to find this... Girl? No, it had to be a boy.
'Focus.' She thought to herself, though she continued to bother her lower lip with her teeth as she knelt down slowly, one hand set on her knee while the other reached hesitantly to pull te hair from the boy's face. Her hand shook, almost as if she were afraid to touch him. What if he woke up? Wouldn't it look weird? 'So much for nothing happening,' a voice teased in the back of her head. A bothered sigh slipped past her lips, before gently pushing aside a few locks of blue hair.
'He could easily pass for a girl with hair like this.' She mused, unable to help it as she tried to keep herself calm. He looked vaguely familiar. Was he in her class? Even more of an embarressment. If he was and she had no clue how to address him...
She pursed her lips as she pressed her palm against his shoulder lightly. "Wake up, please?" It was a weak plea, as she was sure by now with all her hesitation he should've woken up. She was a baker's daughter, not a doctor's. This was not common knowldge or a common occurance for her.
