- Forest of Sorrows Chasm - This forest was created during the first festival of Shimagakure where Tenmoki Yuki used a powerful technique to bury the past burdens of the villagers. The ground of the forest is rocky, yet spongy - it is very damp in the forest due to the marshes it was created on. The trees tower high and seem to reach unbelievable heights. Many creatures have entered the forest and some are even dangerous. After the Black Spring Events, the spongy earth of the forest floor had cracked, creating a deep chasm right down the middle of the forest, creating an even greater danger to those that didn't know the area very well... and most didn't because the one's that new most of it, had been killed off during the Black Events. Because of this, a sign decorates the entrance, along with a chained up fencing around the forest forbidding any academy students or genins to enter the Forest. Of course, some courageous squad leaders like to bring their genins into the forest for excruciating training.

Shikai has been stuck in the hole for some hours now. The shikai had settle in, with their painfull bite. He could feel them crawling inside his legs and his arms. Yet he wasn't repulsed. He was glad, that they had made the sacrifice to save him. So he had made a sacrifice too, his body would be forever the host. But he didn't mind that. The Kikai swarm was ''glad'' they had a safe home. And this would be pass down from father or mother to children for many century. The venom was less and less effective now and Shikai was getting is strength back, at least to survive for now. He decided to shout again, altough it could attract more danger.
''His anybody out there. I'm stuck here.''
True he could not climb the twenty feet wall of the hole. He had still a lot of things to learn, in order to even phatom of doing that. But at least, he had learn a lesson. Watch yourself, cause no one will do it for you. For now Shikai decided to wait. But the scenery was bluring now. It seems he was wrong. He was still weak from the venom. His body react agains't by saving energy, so Shikai was going in a deep slumber. The Kikai where now trying to eat up the remaining venom...

A groan escaped from Shinichi's lips as they neared the vast expanse of knotted entangling trees whose shadows could play with the mind enough to make the weak run in fear, not to mention the millions of voracious beasts hanging around ready to start a war for a bite of food. The ANBU wasn't scared in the least, knowing for a fact that most of these creatures had the sense to stay away from certain death. However, at this forest's creation, he had sworn to leave his past behind. A few weeks later, that very past sailed the ocean blue and his father's army rampaged Shimagakure, killing a number of villagers. Shinichi was about to leave in a fury at Noburo's cruel joke when a feeble whine from some injured animal reached his sensitive ears. He would have left the creature alone except that his ears also picked up the sound of hundreds of insects swarming the weak thing. They were probably ravishing maggots enjoying a meal and Shinichi regretted interrupting that natural process. However, moved by the fact that the vile worms were too near to the farm, Shimagakure's food supply, the young man quickly closed the distance. He ignored Noburo's whines and stooped to look down a narrow pit.
Without a second thought, Shinichi jumped into the hole and after checking the infested boy for any serious injury, hoisted him onto his shoulders and climbed out. Setting the anemic kid roughly onto a flat rock, Shinichi cursed loudly at the despicable sight. The boy was breathing so he must either be knocked out or too stupid to make his way out of the shallow gorge. To him it seemed like both were true. Shinichi lifted the kid's wrist and checked his pulse, close to the only medical knowledge he had. Not good. The heartbeat was strangely irregular, garbled as if each centimetre of his veins possessed its own heart. Whatever doubt he had about moving the kid before was rushed by this condition. Shinichi guessed that the brash kid, ignoring the massive warning signs, decided to train here on his own and moronically tripped into the hole. It was a miracle he hadn't been eaten. Removing the black-haired boy's glasses, Shinichi threw the kid onto his narrow shoulders and raced to the hospital.

Noburo was in ecstasy when she arrived at the forest, in no way aware that Shinichi had any connection to this place. Without waiting for her partner's orders, she effortlessly slipped through the winding branches, ducking and weaving as necessary. The trees were still reasonably far apart since they were still near the entrance, but about a kilometre in, the plant life would blend together like a single piece of deep green fabric. That was where she wanted to start her training! Seeing a thorned rose vine hanging in the air, extended to her like an inviting arm, Noburo squealed and rushed to fly close circles around the branch. She managed to come so close to the poisoned thorns that their needlepoint-thick tips brushed against her out most feathers. Noburo spiraled around the vine, just enjoying being the fastest moving bird on the entire planet. Life was good... at least until she noticed that Shinichi was leaving with some kid in his arms. Noburo instantly flew into a rage at having interrupted her training time and followed the pair closely back to town, sending the evil eye at the boy at every opportunity. He looked like he was about to die anyway!

Arriving to new vicinity, the Orochi kin looked up in awe. There was a tall fence around this area with a sign stating that genins and academy students were not allowed entry into this place. By the looks of it, not many would want to enter.
Shisei thought the bamboo stalks were high, but the trees in this place were just at a different level. They were colossal. A trunk of each tree was as thick as a hippo’s body. They were gigantic enough to be in the sky. Like little mountains. The serpent youth began to remember the old folk tale of jack and beanstalk. To climb one of those would definitely take a long time. The wood of the plants looked as hard as steel, despite their decrepit form. Within the dark green, almost black, leaves one could here different animals. Some cawing. Some the humming of insects, although they had to be very large insects since the sound was easily audible. There were some grunts and of course a few bellows from type of large reptile. If the area was this intimidating outside, just what lurked inside? His brain began to wonder just what secrets this forest had in it. The feeling between this place and the bamboo forest was so radical it was hard to believe that the areas were only a few miles apart. The serpent youth would like to stroll inside and examine this dreary plantation that looked like it came from a fairy book of grim tales. Unfortunately there was a sign saying no entry and the serpent youth did not want to disobey. “Stupid rule…” he thought.

Still, this devious piece of botany was something to be admired. Even if the snake youth could not breach the forest it still might be able to share some of its dangerous secrets and whisper it in the serpent youth’s ear. His skeleton walked until he was only centimeters from the fence. Gold eyes peered into the dark forest that had a few glitters of the diminishing sunlight. His fingers glided across the fence as eyes took in every amount of detail that he could achieve. It was like the serpent youth was staring at a famous work of art and did not want to lose the memory. Finally his feet came to a halt when the child came across a brown band on the floor. He picked up the piece of fabric wondering if this was some sign from the botany masterpiece. For now he would have to go. The boy had to finish his run and then return to get some dinner within the village. There would be another time though that Shisei would return to this forest.

{Karite had come to the forest to chop wood but had fallen asleep waiting for Kore. As he heard the rustling of animals he stirred and awaken to a new day.}
Karite was leaning was left leaning against a tree as the cold began to get to his naked half woken body. Opening one eye slowly trying to force his body to rise. Breathing through his nose he let the cold air fill his body to help with the task. Yawning the boy noticed the axe was laid across his chest. He had completely forgotten about chopping wood he was so busy waiting on the cub to get here with the cart. Standing Karite's body reacted harshly with tucked position he stayed in. The axe was hard to carry down here looking at it now he wondered if he could manage to lift it to cut some wood. Karite gripped the handle tightly and turned towards the tree that served support for his weary night slumber. Hefting the heavy axe onto his shoulder his body was still sleeping. "Kore where are you?" Even though Kore and Karite spent little time together Karite felt a little naked without the cub around.

Kore came into the fores tugging the heavy cart. He did not know where Karite was but that didn't matter for soon a hand perched itself on the lions head. Stopping what He was doing Kore turned to see Karite kneeling over him smiling. He had did his job well. He looked at the boy and purred happy to see him again, but his stomach was quiet upset so he hoped Karite would send him off to get some food.
Karite rubbed Kore's head as the young cub reared into view with the cart at hand. Karite was very proud of the little cub the cart was much larger then he was and it most have took a lot of effort for him to move it looking at all the dirt and grim the cub collected. "Way to go Kore. You did great buddy. For such a good job go to the village and find Udo in the ramen shop. He will give you some food. if he doesn't just take it." Karite stood and watched Kore leave towards the village as he did he Karite picked up the axe and swung into the tree. Continuing he managed to knock it down easily. "Now to get some smaller pieces to fit in the cart."

Karite whipped a few beads of sweat from his brow. The temperature around him was not hot it was actually down right cold. Working with such a heavy tool though was difficult for anyone Karite's size. This giant axe could even wear out Maya it seemed. not worrying about the minor details though Karite began marking decent pieces on the tree to make sure they were all about the same size. When he felt he had enough wood marked off he went to work. Raising the axe above his head Karite forgot one thing. Gravity was always working against him. The axe took not only itself to the ground but Karite as well. "Not to self the forces around you still dont like you much."

Karite couldn't help but to laugh. His uncle had done things like this to him as well. He was never really good at it but his uncle taught him something to make the time go by with the boring work. Standing Karite gripped the Axe firmly in his hands feeling his hands going numb for a second. He began to sing. " Momma Momma cant you see? That this life is the life for me. I ran all day and run all night. Do my miles and do them right. Crawl to the ramen shop on my knees begging the chef for some goods. It doesn't matter anyway Sensei Yuki is there to say. "Run little maggot and train harder." Momma cant you see? My motto is to be free." Karite noticed he had chopped off a piece of wood in no time flat singing. "Guess uncle was right again."

Karite took the time to lift the first log into the cart. It was heavy but he didnt know what size the old dirty blacksmith wanted so Karite had cut them fairly large. Karite looked back and notice the sun was beginning to rise. Remembering the ridiculous riddle and ramen he was suppose to receive and he wanted it. Whipping a few beads of sweat from his bare chest he rubbed it into his pants. Sighing Karite picked up the axe and went back to work with motivation in his stomach.

Karite lifted the next piece of wood from the ground and tossed it in the wooden cart along with the other piece. He was almost done but this was a lot of hard work for a stick. Karite sat back for a second to catch his breath. Heaving the way he was he could see his breath leaving his lips faster then normal. "Its a pretty nice day but it is so damn cold." This staff better be well worth it. Karite thought to himself. He could only imagine what his skills could do with a staff with training. Speaking of training he wonder if they would be having class today? He had yet to hear a bell and the academy wasn't that far away.

Karite back for a second on the ground beginning to close his eyes thinking of who could possibly be more insane then Juno, or have the most complex lesson like Prodo. It seemed every teacher was out to be tougher and more thought provoking then the next. This island was full of crazy people. Speaking of crazy people Tanu was one person he had yet to tango with. He would have to unfold his plan tonight, the only problem was finding her. he didn't want to get beat down on his birthday.

Karite couldn't help but plan his revenge on Tanu. Maybe if she got her butt handed to her she would realize she was not the toughest bird in the pin. Maybe then she would realize that she need to lower her aggression towards people. It would also make him feel better. Knowing how Karite acted he would more then likely be smiling for days after this win, two things he had on side though that the beast didn't was Kore and a new staff coming his way.

Karite was letting the cool air get to his overheated body. If he did not want to be late for any kind of fun the village might be having today he should hurry up with this wood. It was no mistake that Karite had drifted off like he did. He was always well known for day dreaming. Not to mention he was hungry on top of tired. Not the best formula for energy. Standing on his bare feet he raised the axe above his head and slammed it down one good time. It was the starting cut which was always the most important. Continuing on after a few more whacks of the mighty axe Karite had another piece. One more like that and he would be done in no time. Then he would have to steal some food from the marketplace.

Karite leaned on the axe as he looked over his handy work. It seemed to be quite well done. Clear cut not much waste from misses. It made him proud. A small smile pursed his lips as he gripped the axe and drove it in to the remaining log. Making quick work of the task Karite could not help but to smiled wider as he loaded up the last two pieces. "I guess that staff will be mine in no time and maybe some food too." Karite tossed the axe into the cart and began his journey back to the weapon shop to receive his reward.
