"Who are you?"

name; Eiichi Furusawa
gender; male
height; 5 ft 8 in
weight; 130 lbs
age; 17
skin; pale
eye color; very dark brown (almost black)
hair color; black
appearance; Eiichi is of pretty average looks. His height is average and his hair is an average length. He wears a somewhat large pair of black-rimmed glasses. His eyes are very dark, even to the point of looking black. But they are dark brown. He is normally seen wearing his school uniform, which consists of a black jacket over black pants. Students at school bully and harrass Eiichi about his slighly feminine look.
personality; Eiichi hides away his emotions and presents a very composed and straightfoward front. He is a troubled boy who doesn't like to confront his fears and prefers to lock up his pain and throw away the key. Due to his appearance, bullies have marked him as a target. In school, he never talks for fear they would harrass him. Much of the time Eiichi stays by himself in order to avoid close contact with any other people. He also finds it hard to look others in the eyes
likes; solitude, darkness, sleeping, reading, eating, and cats
dislikes; going to school, his sister, homework, and little kids

Is this me? This is a good reference for what Eiichi looks like. Except...you know...minus the smile xD

~Blurb~

"Eiichi is tortured soul who spends his time avoiding human contact. All his life he's been an outcast and the victim of hatred."

"Let me know the reasons why..."

All this life Eiichi has had to deal with people making him feel like crap. Every day at school is torture. The other students throw gum in his hair, stick signs to his back, trip him in the hallway, the list goes on and on. This has been going on since elementary school. Eiichi told his parents about these regular occurances, but his mother simply slapped him and told him that big boys don't complain. Since then, Eiichi simply sits quietly and takes the harrassment. Recently, these childish pranks have turned violent. Eiichi normally hangs around his last period class to give the other students a head start going home so he can be alone. But one day a group of bullies ganged up on him and 'taught him a lesson.' Eiichi went home with a swollen lip and a black eye, which his parents must have overlooked. Even though he tries to leave with the rest of the students, these bullies always manage to corner Eiichi in an alley where no one can help him. Any normal teenager might skip school, but Eiichi likes to learn, so that was out of the question.

Why do these other students constantly harrass and bully Eiichi? Because he's different then them, and teenagers seem to have it in their heads that everyone should be like them. He's a silent boy who actually likes to learn and read. Most teenagers hate both of these things, which makes it easy for other students to make up jokes about Eiichi. Other students harrass Eiichi about his looks. Such as the fact that he has glasses and wears all black. These of course, are stupid reasons to hate someone. But what do teenagers care? They also tease Eiichi about his slightly feminine appearance. He's very skinny compared to the mighty, buff sport players. They are the ones who usually beat Eiichi up and call him a girl. In reality one can obviously see Eiichi isn't a girl, but whenever teenagers make fun of someone they blow the joke out of proportion.

Enough is finally enough. Eiichi has been pushed around and harrassed for the last time. He has to do something. But what?

Edward
"Set up a bowl of rice with the chopsticks straight up, as you would incense," he instructed, "And then chant this." He rolled up the scroll and passed it to Eiichi. "I expect you to return it to my hands undamaged by your efforts."

powers and abilities; the power to see or hear anything happening anywhere in the world, infinite wisdom, the ability to transform into humans, possession, mouths or tails that generate fire or lightning, willful manifestation in the dreams of others, flight, invisibility, and the creation of illusions
disposition; kitsune can be tricksters. Their motives vary from mischief to malevolence. Stories tell of kitsune playing tricks on overly proud samurai, greedy merchants, and boastful commoners, while the crueler ones abuse poor tradesmen and farmers or devout Buddhist monks. But kitsune always keep their promises and strive to repay any favor. They will use their magic for the benefit of their companion or hosts as long as the human beings treat them with respect
characteristics; kitsune possess superior intelligence, long life, and magical powers. It is believed that all long-lived foxes gain supernatural abilities. Kitsune usually have more than one tail. The more tails, the more powerful the kitsune. Once a kitsune gets nine tails, it becomes golden or white
historical information; kitsune were originally angelic messengers of the god Inari. Folklore describes them in two ways. Some of them settle down and marry human men and only take their true forms by night. Others live permanently in the wilderness and only occasionally interact with real humans. So some of them might be mistaken for real people and seen in the village constantly, while others might be thought of as ordinary foxes until their powers are revealed.

Note: Eiichi doesn't know all of these facts now. But for reference, everything will be kept here. His diary entries will mark what he has learned so far.

"I'll do anything..."

Eiichi has offered the life of his older sister in exchange for the kitsune's protection. Eiichi will drug his sister and allow the demon to completely consume her soul and live her life. Besides for protection, the kitsune must also kill the group of bullies who constantly beat Eiichi. The kitsune will only receive her body after they are dead and Eiichi feels he no longer needs protection.

"You can stay here..."

Eiichi and his family live in an average house. It has three bedrooms, one for Eiichi, one for Kaori, and one for his parents. There are only two bathrooms, so Eiichi is forced to share one with his sister. Unless he wakes up right at 6:00 am, Kaori will beat him in and he won't be able to brush his teeth until 6:40 am. His house has a living room, a kitchen, and a dining room just like any other house. Eiichi rares goes into any of these rooms unless he needs a snack. Otherwise he stays locked up in his room. An exception to this would be when Eiichi goes to the basement. It's nothing fancy, only stone walls and floor, one dirty rug, a bunch of wooden crates, and a small chair to sit on. The only light shines from an old, naked lightbulb that hangs from the ceiling. This room is used to store odd and ends that either have no purpose or are too ugly to put upstairs. Since no one else in his family will go into this room unless forced, Eiichi doesn't have to worry about being interrupted. Some times he'll read a book, do his homework, or even sleep down there.

As for his normal room, Eiichi keeps it very plain. He doesn't think it's necessary to buy a bunch of making funiture and little knick-knacks. He has a bed, a dresser, and a desk. There is practically no color in his room. His bedspread is black and so is his computer and lamp. There is one poster that hangs on the wall opposite his closet. It doesn't actually have an image, but rather a mush of depressing colors and shapes. It contains red, the only bit of color to be seen.

"My family..."

User Image
Mother;
Eiichi's mother is a heartless woman who never stops to consider the feelings of other people. She lies, cheats, and steals; anything that will get her what she wants. She is in her forties, but uses every means to appear younger. She favors her daughter, who she 'persuades' to accomplish everything she was never able to do. In her eyes, her husband is simply the man who she must deal with to get money. Her son is an unplanned mistake (of which she constantly reminds him).

User Image
Father;

Eiichi's father is the only one in the house he can relate to. He is a simple man who wants nothing more than to make his family happy. Eiichi hasn't figured out if his father is truly innocent to his mother's behavior or in he chooses to look the other way. Whenever Eiichi has suffered at the hand of his mother, his father is always there with a little bit of chocolate. He's no good with words, but Eiichi knows what he means.

User Image
Sister;

Kaori is everything her name hints. She is a girl of obvious beauty. She has no trouble making friends or getting attention. Good grades come easy to her. Basically, her life is perfect. Kaori also holds a special place in her parents' hearts. When arguments break out, they'll shout things like, "Why can't you be more like your sister?" to Eiichi. Because of this, he resents her almost to the point of hatred. She purpose picks fights with Eiichi knowing her parents will always take her side. Her parents would do anything for Kaori.

The prompt

Prompt
#o1. This prompt's theme is loss. Write about your summoner losing something very dear to them, and what their demon does- if it does anything at all!

Aahh, time to go home! Eiichi Furusawa thought while he stood up from his tiny desk and stretched. This was the one time during the day when Eiichi couldn't hold back his satisfaction. All other times he either wasn't happy enough to show any feelings or he repressed his emotions. Years of constant pain and disappointment have a way of training you to express as little emotions as possible. But that's another story for another time.

After gathering up his books into his black book case, Eiichi headed downstairs to retreive his walking shoes from his locker. The area was completely void of all life, just how Eiichi liked it. He purposely gave the other students a headstart in order to ensure he had his solitude. As he finished tying his shoes and made his way for the exit, Eiichi felt a rush of wind hurl past him. The ferous wind caused all the locks to rattle against their lockers, creating a strange musical.

"Ah! You startled me!" Eiichi gasped as he turned and glanced around the room. He knew searching for the demon would be fruitless, but his eyes still scanned the area. The first time he met the kitsune, the demon had exposed his true form to Eiichi. But now he prefered to remain invisible most of the time. Not that Eiichi couldn't sense the demon's protecting presence. At his words, the rattling ceased and the presence dimmed.

As Eiichi started the short walk home, his mind began to drift to random thoughts such as dinner, homework, a pair of new shoes, etc. This is why at first he didn't notice the small pack of kids up ahead in his yard. There were about four or five of them, all younger than 13 years old. When Eiichi's mind finally recognized their presence, he stood still on the sidewalk trying to figure out what on earth they were doing in his yard. A terrible shot of fear rushed through Eiichi as one of the boys raised a large, metal baseball bat and brought it with a crack! to the ground. With his fear being replaced by rage, Eiichi dropped his bag and rushed towards his yard.

"What do you little punks think you're doing?!" Eiichi yelled, still charging foward. His normal straight face was replaced with raw anger. The little kids had barely turned around before they ran off in the other direction scared stiff. Eiichi might have felt a little satisfaction at frightening the kids if it were not for the little bloody mass they left laying on the grass. Yei... Eiichi thought, falling to his knees next to the creature. Uncontrollable tears blinded him as Eiichi reached out to touch the small cat's face. Her once snow white fur was now matted and stained with blood. Next to her lay the metal bat, stained with her blood.

-----------------

Eiichi slowly dug up a small patch of grass and dirt in his backyard next to a bed of tulips. Yei loved the smell of blooming flowers, and she loved to play with them. The spot was also out of site so his parents wouldn't freak out on him for ruining the yard. Next to him sat a small shoe box. Eiichi felt terrible for having to use a shoe box for Yei's coffin, so he decorated it with a few cat stickers he found in his sister's room. Inside the box was his childhood blanket, the one item he still had from his carefree days. But the blanket was no use to him now. Wrapped securely in it was Yei; Eiichi had tried his best to clean and brush her fur. While he slowly picked at the dirt with a gardening shovel, Eiichi's face stood straight and emotionless. Only every once in a while did he have to bite his lip to keep from whimpering.

Sighing, Eiichi wondered, How long has it been since we first met...

-----------------

Eiichi heard the other boys shouting and laughing as he sat huddled on the ground trying to protect his head with his arms. "HAHA! Freak!" "Nerd!" "Fairy!" The boys shouted before giving Eiichi one last hard kick in the ribs. Then they were gone. He was becoming accustom to this beating routine, but this particular beating had been terribly harsh. As he wiped the tears from his eyes and searched for his shattered glasses, Eiichi saw something white shuffle around futher down the alley. Eiichi started searching frantically for his glasses; without them, he had no way of knowing what the white thing was.

As Eiichi reached out to search under a pile of garbage, something clamped its teeth around his hand. "Ouch!" He exclaimed, pulling back. It was the white thing! But now that the creature was closer, Eiichi could make out it's form without his glasses. It was a dirty little white kitten. Looking back to the pile of garbage, Eiichi saw a french fry sitting under a plastic bag. After eying him for a moment, the kitten quickly engulfed the fry. "Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't going to steal your fry, honest." Eiichi said as he reached out and stroked the kitten's back while she searched for more scraps. "I bet you're an outcast just like me. All the other cats pick on you and no one wants you." At the end of this sentence, the kitten looked up from the garbage and rubbed her face against Eiichi's knee. He giggled as her whiskers tickled him. "We can be outcasts together." Eiichi said as he gently picked up the small kitten and held her close to his face.

-----------------

After 20 minutes of digging, the hole was ready. Sighing, Eiichi set the box down into the ground. Then he cut two yellow tulips from the flowerbed and set them on top of the box. Standing up, Eiichi said his final words to the cat. "You were my only friend in the world. I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect you." After Eiichi spoke the last word, a swift wind picked up and sent the tulips swaying from side to side. Before his eyes, they began to grow and their colors dazzle; an illusion at the hand of his demon. But Eiichi simply sat back down and started to place the dirt back into the hole.

-----------------

That night, Eiichi found it impossible to sleep. Ever since the first day Eiichi brought Yei home, she had slept right next to him on his pillows and purred softly in his ear until he fell asleep. Without her, the room was dead with silence. Eiichi ended up simply reading a book the entire night. In the morning, his eyes were weary and everything around him was blurry. Just as he sat up in bed, his sister burst into his room. Eiichi was about to scold her about not knocking, but she started rambling, "Look outside! Look outside!" Reluctangly, Eiichi threw off his covers and headed to his window where she was jumping up and down. Once Eiichi was at the window, his sister rushed off to wake their parents. In the other room Eiichi could hear her shouting, "Mom! Dad! There's millions of cats in our yard!"

Eiichi's jaw dropped and he stared with wide eyes out the window. Every inch of his front yard was covered with white cats! Out of the corner of his eye Eiichi saw a white form burning fiercely. But when he glanced over nothing was there; execpt a rush of warm air.

"But why..." Eiichi wondered, turning back to the window. His eyes were drawn to a strange pile in the yard where the majority of the cats were huddled. Lying there were lots of dead fish, which appeared to be cooked. Eiichi's mind quickly flashed back to one of the demon's abilities, generating fire. Eiichi let a confused little smile slip as he imagined the kitsune toasting the fish just to lure the cats to his house. Then he quickly slipped on his school uniform and rushed down the stairs.
