.....well whenever the rape is happening its always with an almost innocent girl and brutish soldiers....the kind you would expect to do that kind of thing.....so i think its only natural that in a book that has plenty of pillaging there would also be rape....as in "LET US RAPE AND PILLAGE!".......jst my view though

true, but I do think he does overdo it at times, but again, It is my taste, for I really can’t stand rape. Though, like I said, his books, other then the over-excessive rape, are pretty good, and he is not writing to please little old me, he’s writing what he feels. So *shrugs* I have to put up with it, but I don't have to like it.

eh i guess it can get excessive but they are big dumb brutes that have no morals or anything and i think he also uses it as a physical metaphor that now that they have raped the country/nation they will now rape the individual person...sometimes i look to deeply into stuff though...

griiin* Me too. Though, it is kind of funny how some guys freak out when you mention it. *innocent look* I think they should be castrated with dental floss!
