A lone figure cloaked in darkness moves through the streets of Miyr, constantly looking back to check for pursuit. The strong moonlight reveals a young man with fear apparent in his every action, as if the very hounds of hell were nipping at his heels. Stopping just before the outskirts of Miyr, the Young Man draws a sword from within his cloak, brandishing it high in the air. "Your purpose this night is done my old friend, I can carry you no longer. But let your next wielder prove his or her worth. I would not have you suffer the hand of incompetence." Swinging the sword overhead with all his might, the young man plunges it forward and down, directly into a large boulder of granite. Bowing low in reverence to the mighty weapon, the Young Man continues his flight, hoping against hope that his pursuer has not yet awakened...

Holy Sword: (E4) Grants the ability Fighter Mage, and can be used to separate creatures that have been magically combined.

How you Earn it


First, as always, post your stats for the purposes of this Mini-game. Include any adjustments to your stats from Equipment, preferably in an alternate color.

You have one full combat round per day. The Ghostly Sword is reborn each day, so battle continues daily; there is no Party pool for AP or MP, but your current totals carry over and you are granted a single 5 point heal by the Ghostly Sword after each round. Your opponent's stats are considered to be as follows:

Ghostly Sword
A: 3, D: 0, C: 0, M: 1, L: 1 (5), E: 0, Abilities: Fighter Mage (4), Heal (3), Spells: Frost (1MP), Action: Punch (1AP)

The Ghostly Sword will always attack in the same fashion;

Attack for 3 points of Normal damage.
Action: Punch for 3 points of Special damage.
Spell: Frost for 3 points of Magic damage.
Heal opponent for 5 points.

The Sword judges your worth by your capabilities within combat, be it through the use of Spells, your powerful Attacks, or even the gentle art of Healing. If you seek to bear the Sword, you must first prove yourself. If during the course of any single round the Ghostly Sword defeats you, you may not continue further.

You can use anything in your inventory accept consumables that you have declared for use within an existing Dungeon, Mini-game, or Tournament. If you use a charge item that is currently equipped in any of the above, you must retain enough charge coins in your inventory to fully recharge the item until the Dungeon, Mini-Game, or Tournament is finished.

You do not have to wait for a combat post from the sword; consider this to be it. Points will be determined on a daily basis, as time permits. I will record your ongoing total on the third post of this thread, the Hero's List. Be sure to wait at least 24 hours before making your next combat post; if you post to early it will not be accepted.

For each point of potential Normal damage, you gain 1 point.
For each point of potential Magic damage, you gain 1 point.
For each point of potential Special damage, you gain 1/2 point.
For each potential point of Ability-based Healing or Regeneration, you gain 3 points.
For each point of potential Spell-based Healing, you gain 2 points.
Anything else will be on a case by case basis.


There are also penalties for those who are not prepared to carry the sword:

If your Base Equip Stat is below 4, you lose 5 points each round.
If you don't have a minimum Base Stat of 1 in both Attack and Magic, you lose 5 points each round.
If you don't have a minimum of one Spell and one Action in your Inventory, you lose 5 points each round.

The first person who achieves the Holy Sword's requirements wins the Sword. Good Luck!

Regardless of who you are, or what you are doing at the time, a powerful, yet urgent summons echoes through your soul, pulling you out to the edge of the City of Miyr, where before you stands a boulder of granite, with a sword bearing a highly ornate hilt and a shining blade thrust deep into the stone. The Sword seems to call to you, beckoning you to draw it forth and claim it as your own. At your approach, a ghostly representation of the sword within the stone springs forth, interposing itself between you and it. It seems to dance in challenge, asking you to prove your worth before you may claim your prize...

Moving quickly to the outskirts of town, Di gazes in wonder at the beautiful weapon thrust deep within the stone. "You are such a pretty thing, I know that with you by my side, my purpose will be even greater. Let me show you the wonders I have to offer you; perhaps in time it will be enough to win your heart. Knowing that this situation requires a greater sacrifice on her part, Di summons Little Bunny Foo Foo, and directs him to not only do his normal protection services, but this time to join her in an all-out attack upon the Sword...
