It got a bit boring again once Kweupe had gone off to fetch her brother. Almost as soon as she'd left he lowered his head, closed his eyes, and drifted off into a peaceful rest. Chui was excited for the journey back home, and wanted as much energy as he could so he wouldn't tire and show another weak side of himself to the experienced travelers. But soon he stirred from his sleep, eyes groggily opening at last.
The grown leopard gave a yawn, then another, and finally lifted his body off of the ground. He shook the dirt off of his pelt, though...you probably couldn't tell that he had any on him in the first place since his pelt meshed so well with the earth. He stretched, then padded out past the rocks he and Kweupe had conversed upon and took a seat, tail coiling itself around where he sat.
Chui turned his pink orbs from one horizon to the next, trying to keep an eye out for the two cheetahs he was waiting for. The excitement from earlier was already ebbing away, though he was very glad to be heading home at last. And this time, he'd have company on the way.

"Mafu, hurry up! He's been waiting all afternoon and you're dragging your paws like a cub that doesn't want to take his bath!" Kweupe called over her shoulder at her slightly younger brother before taking off at a good lope towards the rocks where she had met Chui. It had taken her nearly all afternoon to find Mafunde and then some more to convince him that a trip to the jungle would be advantageous. In all actuality, Mafu probably wasn't going slow at all, but obviously not fast enough for Kweupe's taste. Ears perked up and a grin on her maw, she leaped onto the closest rock and looked around for the male that had become her new friend.

Mafunde sighed as she called over to him. Half of what she said was true. He was dragging his feet, but not necessarily for the reason that she thought. Well, okay maybe it was. "What's so great about this guy anyways?" He asked. He wasn't too keen about some fella coming up and taking his sister away. Sure he was acting like an old man, but someone had to act like the eldest, if she wasn't going to step up then he had to.Another sigh escaped his lips as he ran over to her, catching up with ease.

Chui's ears perked when he heard a female's voice break the silence around him, and he turned toward its origin, a smile appearing on his face when the familiar coat of his new friend came into view. He was too lazy to move much though, so he just turned and sat again, facing the arrival of his two companions. He saw another cheetah coming quite a bit after her, sharing the exact same pelt, and he tilted his head in curiosity.
"Twins?" he said silently to himself. "Did she say they were twins? I can't remember..."

It was true, Kweupe and her younger litter-mate Mafunde were twins of a sort, but only identical on the first glance. Should one take a closer look at the pair, one would notice the differences between the two. Where Kweupe's eyes were as clear and bright as a summer's day, Mafunde's were gray and cloudy and his markings mirrored his sister's. "Chui!" Kweupe called out the greeting and bounded up to him with a grin. She touched her nose to his cheek and turned to face her brother. "Chui, this is my younger brother Mafunde. Mafu, this is Chui!"
