Well he certainly didn't start out that way and when *spoiler* he went back to normal after losing his memories of the Note *end spoiler* he wasn't, either. I think it has to do with the age-old saying "absolute power corrupts absolutely". 3nodding

I agree with you Kittyfox. Light went nuts ( god-complex ) after he decided he was going to create a new world using the Death Note. Creeped me out. I was glad when he gave it up for a while. Sadly it looks like that won't last for much longer.
