Private roleplay between:
- Kuuro Kitten [ Cadaver and Marijus ]
- Amakiru [ Krinn and Lan ]

For when Kuuro gets back on. =3

- - - -

The cafe buzzed with a low hum as Krinn dangled his feet over the edge of a large chair and hummed, swinging the his legs back and forth. The day had gone by ever so slow, and Lan had been working all day at the cafe, his mind bent on nothing more then getting everything cleaned up and dodging the subject Krinn had so shamelessly brought up that morning. Because of his unanswered question, the boy had been huffing all day, wondering what was so bad about it while Lan hotly avoided the subject, making sure not to say anymore on it. Anyways, Krinn was too young to know anything about sex. His coworker would definately pay for bringing up the subject, along with the spark of curiousity in Krinn to know what sex and virginity were, while also wanting to know why it apparently 'hurt' so much. Lan had gone home that night with a tip to himself to never ever leave Krinn alone with Dasity again.

It had been two days since the celebration and the meeting of Mia and Sable. Krinn hadnt really brought them up at all, though it seemed like the dust child had enjoyed the company of Sable, and had liked exploring with her. It sounded a lot like the start of a brother and sister friendship to Lan. He had brought it up the day before, and Krinn had shrugged, saying he wouldnt mind meeting them again, though he wouldnt want Lan to wander off with Mia. Of course, Lan didnt intend to because those two would definately go off on their own if he ever did. After that, the two had gone to bed, and Lan had woken up to an uneventful morning at work and a rather irritable Krinn as he demanded to know what Dasity was talking about when she had brought up the subject of sex, how painful it must be, and why it made the world go round and round. Lan had been too mad at Dasity, and way too sure that Krinn was too young to know anything about the subject that he had completely avoided it all day long.

Krinn stuck a spoonful of icecream into his mouth, savouring the flavor as Lan began to hum like he had been doing a few minutes ago. The two were probably the most mellow they had been in awhile. But that could just change in the blink of an eye. Lan was still ready to serve, just incase any customer came in. It was usually quite easy to serve as both a chef and a waiter on days like these because the most people usually ordered were desserts that could be made quite quickly. And ontop of that there usually werent many customers at all to serve at that time of day. With a sigh, Lan rubbed his forehead of any sweat and leaned on his broom once more, glancing over at Krinn.
"You're not still mad at me are you?" The blond black haired chef asked irritably, almost falling over his own broom.

Krinn huffed and turned his head, sticking another spoonful in his mouth.
"I dont know why its so bad for you to not tell me." He said, looking over at Lan again as he ate up some more the icecream, licking some whipcream up. "But its okay, I'll just ask Das tomorrow or something." Lans face faultered. That sounded almost worse then him telling Krinn what it was himself. But Lan was no parent....he hardly even knew how to talk about anything related to love and what not without turning cherry red himself. Sighing, the chef turned on his heel, not able to really answer that as Krinn backed into humming and swishing his legs back and forth again. Putting the broom away, Lan went out to the deck area, and started to wipe down tables, humming softly to himself as Krinn had been doing inside. No song in particular came to mind, so he just mused the lyrics that came first to mind.

The sunshine bathed the streets and glowed through the windows of the cafe when Lan re-entered. Looking at the time, the young adult sighed, sitting back against the counter and watching the ceilings fan twirl slowly. Atleast there was air conditioning here. Letting a rumble in the back of his throat sound at the mess of things left over by the staff who hadnt cleaned up very good, Lan irritably tied the waist down apron back into place seeing as it had been slipping and brushed his long hair back behind an orange and white bandana that matched his shirt which was dotted with different sorts of stars and such. It had been hot all day long, so Lan always kept a bandana for the sake of keeping hair out of his face. Getting to work making everything look neat and clean as people walked by outside, the chef and waiter yawned and stretched his arms above his head, Krinn glancing up for a moment.
"Think there'll be anymore customers?" Krinn asked boredly, around a slurp of chocolate and strawberry icecream. Lan had come to realize that was one of his favorite dishes.

"Who knows."
Lan mused, watching the outside through the large windows that covered some of the cafe. "Maybe. Depends on who wants some really good dessert." He shrugged with an easy grin and let loose his pride for a moment as he got back to work. Maybe someone, or some people would come in and entertain him for a moment before he went home. There was still another hour left of his shift and hopefully before then someone would atleast walk through the door so it wasnt just another sixty minutes of cleaning. Lan sighed. He wouldnt even mind if it was Sable or Mia. Maybe even that Tori girl. Then again, he didnt have a clue who was out on the town or not. Even if a stranger came in, he would still be happy. After all, his passion for cooking was always there, and as long as customers strolled in, he got to do what he did best.

And a customer did stroll in none too quietly as he burst through the door giggles and shrieks of excitement. His guardian walked in behind him hands in pocket muttering one incoherent curse after another. Why did he have to get the over hyper active kid with ADHD? Sighing, Marijus took a quick look around, probably more concerned for things of the breakable kind rather than the kid's safety. As said kid was running looking at this and that. Whatever caught his eye his grabby hands were upon them.

Although upon seeing Krinn who was eating some ice cream Cada stopped in his "oohing" and "aahing" to gaze upon the confection of which he hadn't been introduced. "What's that?" He asked no one in particular, simply pointing.

Marijus looked up long enough to snort, "Tis a kid." He knew what the boy was getting at but couldn't help frustrating the little igit; just as he was doing for him.

"No! No! That stuff he has... what is it?" Cada moved away from Krinn to stand next to his guardian as he kept his yellow-green eyes trained on the interesting treat. "He's putting it in his mouth." Turning those curious eyes on his guardian he hugged his toy close to him bouncing up and down excitedly. "I want!" He demanded instantly pointing again. "I want some too."

"Yae don't even know what it tis and yae demanding it?" Marijus grumbled giving the boy a noogie as he looked around for a place to sit. "Quit bein' so rude, lad. Go sit down 'fore yae drive mae up a wall." Course that was far too late. About two minutes after waking up that morning the hyperactive boy had already ran the course of his nerve meter. "Go! Sit down damnit."

"s**t!"

"And stop sayin' that 'fore nae ring yae neck. Nae told yae dat aint for kids to be sayin'." Rolling his eyes skyward he ushered the child to a table trying his hardest to settle the boy down before they ordered. That was akin to a man giving birth... just wasn't possible. And to prove that point, Cada began jumping up and down in his seat trying to keep the interesting treat in his line of sight. Marijus just yanked him back until he finally sat down; only this time pouting.

"You shouldn't pull on Cada like that, sir. He's still a growing boy." This was Mr. Happy speaking on behalf of the child.

"Then tell dat boy to calm down and nae won't have to man handle him." Marijus eyed the doll then Cada snorting dismissively. He only hoped the toy thing was a phase cause if he continued to use that doll as an excuse to back talk; he and Mr. Happy were going to have some words. Sighing after Cada finally settle on pouting, Marijus turned his attention to the only two in the cafe. "So what yae got to eat 'round here?"

Krinn fidgeted as the loud bells jingled against the door, signaling a customer. He looked up, eyeing the two who came in and instantly felt some sort of tug in his body towards the person who was rambling. It had been like this with that Millie girl but the child decided to ignore it and suspiciously eyed Marijus, wondering what was with his wierd speech. Lan didnt speak like that, and at first it was confusing to realize what the other was saying. Of all the customers he had seen, this one had to have been the strangest so far. And that meant that Krinn didnt know if it was a good or a bad thing.

The two looked rather interesting though...and maybe Krinn wouldnt mind them so much. Though they seemed to speak up with the words Lan usually only used when he was completely angry. Or late. And that was quite often. Sighing, he looked down at his empty bowel.
"Lan I want more icecream." he said loudly, looking over at the other man who was about to go tend to the customers. "I'll get it for you in a minute Krinn, there are customers here you know." Lan replied, putting away the broom and dusting his hands off on his apron, the bandana now loosely tied around his neck instead of his head as he pulled off a small sheepish smile at Krinns pout of being second and not first. "Or you can get it yourself. Its in the fridge you know."

Watching Krinn stand and stalk off into the kitchen, Lan let his face faulter. The kid was demanding but the one that just walked in the door seemed to compare to Krinn and maybe even surpass him in being way too curious, and childish. Of course, Lan didnt get driven up the wall as easily as the other did it seemed. These two seemed very....lively Lan decided as he walked up to take an order. Krinn had returned to his seat a few spots away on the counter of the bar, swinging his feet back and forth. Of course, this time he had brought reinforcement. There was a hot fudge sunday in his lap, made of fudge, brownies, chocolate and strawberry icecream, and whipcream. Lan wondered why he had let the boy learn how to make those in the first place. turning to Marijus, he smiled sheepishly.
"It really depends on what your preference is, sir. It looks like your friend is more into the desserts...and right now, our specialties are hot fudge sundaes with your choice of two different flavors of icecream." He paused, and looked over at Krinn as he watched the cat Sona, who had just recently come down from his slumber, flop up onto the bar and paw at him for food.

Lan blinked and glanced back at the kid, barely remembering that Sona loved to attack anything made of plush material. That just called for disaster in the long run, even though Lan hadnt been paying attention to it at the moment.
"There is also a molten chocolate lava cake that we're offering right now." Lan listed the two things that were very high in demand in the cafe at the moment and wondered what the two wanted for food. Maybe it would just be better to let them look at a menu. "But if you are looking for some actual dinner, then I can bring you a menu." he offered as Krinn grumbled something to the cat, giving him a slice of brownie to scarf down with a mumble of "I hope you choke so you dont steal anymore of my food." Without Lans notice though, the cat turned its golden hazel eyes onto Mr. Happy and started to flick its tail back and forth irritably, while Krinn began to chow down on the strawberry portion of his dessert.

Marijus was almost 99.9% sure that Cada wouldn't let him alone at all today if he didn't give the kid what he wanted. Suffice it to say, he didn't mind spoiling the little brat, after all he had the pleasure once upon a time. Smirking he looked to the pouting child and gave him a playful knuckle to his jaw. "Let's get the kid a sundae..." He smiled when Cada looked up excitedly. Turning to Lan again he ordered for himself. "Nae will have a slice of dat cake as well."

Perking up Cada sat straight looking passed Marijus to the child again. His attention was still on the interesting confection before him. It was only through this moment of calm that his attention was able to pick up on a sudden sense of recognition in the other child. Cocking his head to one side he hugged Mr. Happy tightly before knawing on the toy cat's ear. "Doctor daddy, I feel funny." He commented as his eyes trailed over the other child then settled on the cat. "What's that?" He pointed to the animal unaware of its intentions. And just like that his attention shifted from the awareness of a kindred spirit to the animal.

Marijus looked up past Lan to the cat but turned to look Cada over at his first comment, deciding nothing wrong he answered the curious child. "'Tis e a cat. No yae cannae have one. And stop callin' mae dat!" That would kill any further intentions as he finished up his order. "Nae think that will be all.. oh yes... a glass of milk for the youngin' and some beer for mae self, if yae got any."

Lan nodded at the order. "Of course, I'll be right back with your order. By the way, I'm Lan, incase you need anything." And with that, the chef was off to fulfill the order, leaving his mischevious little friend to deal with his sundae rather intently. Sona had already made it clear he was about to pounce before Krinn realized the cat was going to do something stupid. Feeling claws in his head from the cat sitting on the dark gray hair, Krinn looked up, almost realizing everything too late. Choking on his sundae, the boy dumped his icecream on the counter, securing it safely before lunging two seconds after Sona lunged. Thank god Krinn had decided on some easier clothing then ones he had been in when he first met Lan or he wouldnt have been able to move so quickly. The cats agile body was quicker then his, and with a strangled groan at how much trouble he would be in when Lan came out to find him bothering customers, Krinn barely made it in time to grasp the cats fur, like a kitten being held in the protective jaws of its mother. One hand was on the back of Cada's chair, the other was holding Sona inches from what he wanted to take.

"Sona!"
Krinn growled, before his eyes widened at the cats irritable glare in his direction. Looking completely stunned, Krinn backed up a step as the cat writhed out of hands and jumped on Cada's head, then launched towards him. Running across the room as Lan came out with the orders, Krinn jumped over the bar and barely dodged the cats pounce. "You two are already getting in a fight again...?" Lan muttered to himself, with a sigh. "First the cat, then the silly bottle, now Krinn, and you guys cant even get along?" Looking sheepish, Lan set down a rather decorative sundae, which held in it three different flavors of icecream, a cherry on the top, hot fudge, whip cream, and brownies. Then for Marijus, he placed down a slice of cake with the look that screamed "rich." Then, he placed down his other hands, setting a glass of milk and a mug of beer infront of their respected owners. "There ya go. Please excuse the cat and Krinn. Those two are always fighting...and Sona loves toys."

"Ouch! Lan, he scratched my arm!"
The two had settled down, Krinn rubbing his arm and Sona looking like he had been put through a carwash without his own consent. Sticking out his tongue at the cat, Krinn picked up his icecream and started to eat it again, purposely ignoring the cat. Lan was beginnning to wonder if Sona ever actually intended to get along with Krinn or not. The two just always found something to fight about, even though one of them was a cat. "Sorry about that." He said, turning to the boy and his "dad" again, though they looked nothing alike. Now that he took a closer look, Lan realized that the child seemed to have really odd skin...though it wasnt his place to intrude upon. "Is there anything else you two might be needing?"

Fact number one, cat was ready to pounce. Dust child unaware of this fact for his attention was focused more on the creature being a new discovery. He would have asked to play with it, had the thing not lept at him with full intentions of attacking. Fact number two, fellow child was rather quick on his feet. And it didn't seem he cared much for the strange creature dispite it being his pet ... of sorts. Fact number three, cat paws were on his head. Cada looked up but could see no more than a tail before the animal lept from his perch atop his head toward Krinn for a rebuttle. Both animal and child seemed to have a disagreement as they moved about. Cadaver watched with intrigue but remained silent (surprise) for once.

As their food was brought from the back, Marijus realized one thing in that whole incident. The mention of a bottle. His green eyes caught Lan's for a brief moment before he looked away. Did this mean what he thought? Only once before had he heard of the possibility of more bottles being crafted; he just didn't know of any other owners. This possed to be an intriguing find... and once more a puzzle was placed in front of him to solve. He smirked. Cada noted this and cocked his head to the side, his new daddy only did that when he learned of something that was often too complicated for the child to understand. "Do you have to fart, daddy?" He questioned innocently at the strange expression on the older man's face. Marijus bulked glaring at the child... "Don't say such foul 'tings at the table. " Cada pouted hugging his toy. "I sowwy you just looked constipated." It was one word he had learned from Marijus yet again... so much to learn.

"Shut up and eat yar food." He ordered as it was placed in front of him. A delicious moutain of icecream, chocolate surup, whipped cream and even a cherry at the top. Marijus took time to savor his rich confection as well. Chocolate wasn't a favorite flavor but it definately had its moments. Biting into it he gave Lan a thumbs up with a soft grunt of approval. Definately rich. Turning to Cada he asked, "How's da sun-- CADA!!!" The shriek startled the boy as he jumped looking this way and that. "What are yae doin'?"

"Eating." He replied innocently as globs of the sundae dripped from his face into his lap. "Yae don't eat like dat! Yae din plum lost yae mind. Use a spoon!" Apparently the child found the need to dip his face completely into the sundae confection in order to savor the taste of this new treat. Sighing the doctor reached for napkins to clean the child as he set the spoon in front of the boy. "Damn, yar such a child!" Cada arched a brow as he licked at some sundae on his face. He noted some had fell upon Mr. Happy and proceeded to lick it from the toy's ear. "Stop dat!" Marijus warned slapping at the toy. "Tis filthy." The boy was just too much to handle sometimes, but damnit if he wasn't cute. "Here." The doctor sighed, handing the spoon to him. "Eat. Properly dis time."

And so he did, pouting in process. "Cada doesn't like using utensils, sir." Mr. Happy speaking up once more. And in return, Marijus replied, "Then nae assume Cada don't wanna eat his sundae." He eyed the boy as he scrunched up his nose. "FINE!" He said sighing and began to eat; using the spoon. Rolling his eyes, Marijus just couldn't understand this kid sometimes. With as weird as he came into the world how much more stranger was his days bound to be with such a strange child? And with the thought of strange children, Marijus couldn't help studying the other child. Noting his dual colored eyes, it wasn't strange to find some persons with that but it wasn't always common either.

Lan smiled sheepishly at the thumbs up as the kid plummeted downwards into the cake with his head. Oh boy. And he thought Krinn was bad. Of course, he had never really been around kids much to know how energetic they could be. With a face faulter, the waiter watched as the kid was handed a spoon and wondered if the man was really his father or not. "I'm glad you both seem to enjoy your food." He said, in a waiter like way. Then he made a small gesture to Cada and said "I'll be right back, and if you or your son need anything, just call." And with that, he whisked away again, pondering over what was with the odd child and his father. Though they didnt look alike at all. Adoption perhaps? The idea of a bottle child crossed his mind ever so lightly for a moment, and he wondered if that was why Cada looked so peculiar. Maybe he would ask if the man had heard anything of strange bottles coming into the hands of strangers the next time he appeared and left to the kitchen to do some more cleaning up.

Krinn had finished his sundae shortly after having gotten the cat under control, and after Lan had disappeared back into the kitchen. He flickered his storm blue and cloud gray eyes over as something made him fidget. A peculiar sense, like he was being watched or something. And so he was. Looking around for the source of his discomfort, the boy landed his stare on the odd grown up, who looked like he would fit well in some sci-fi, horror flick thing. Since Lan wasnt there, he wasnt really restricted to being polite, nor did he think he needed to be. After all, hadnt Lan said that staring wasnt considered a nice thing to do? Hopping off the counter, Krinn offered a shoulder to Sona, but the cat refused and hurriedly curled its tail around himself, making for a small catnap. Sticking out his tongue at the beast, the lifedust child looked around for a form of entertainment, and in finding none, innocently meandered towards Cada and Marijus's table, ignoring any of Lans little warnings floating along in his head. Frowning, Krinn glanced around. What was taking his guardian so long anyways? With a silent humph, he hopped into the booth behind Cada and leaned over next to the child, cocking an eyebrow.

"You act like you've never seen a sundae before in your life. Havent you had dessert before?"
He asked innocently. Krinn blinked, taking in the sight of the toy that Cada was holding onto and wondering what the boys name was and why the strange tug on his senses was suddenly pulsating at a higher rate then before. As if he really did know the kid. But he had never met him before and wasnt about to go around acting crazy and asking if he somehow knew the kid. Krinn was an easy-to-embarass kid. Lan had figured that out the other day actually. And not in the greatest of ways either. Twirling a piece of storm gray hair around his finger, the boy cocked an eyebrow and looked up. "By the way, are you two actually related? Your dad looks much wierder then you do. And much scarier." With that, he gave off a mischevious smile that said 'I'm curious.'

Cada was happily enjoying his sundae in mid lick from the spoon when he noticed the other lifedust child find purchase in the booth behind him. He looked up with eerie yellow-green eyes. At Krinn's questioning he blinked a few times returning to his sundae as if too ignore him. After a long silence between questioning, Cada finally spoke up. "Well I've never HAD a sundae so of course I would be surprised." It was the logical thing to him. This was the first time he'd even heard of such a treat. He turned to scoop more of the sundae into his spoon before turning to gauge Krinn in mild conversation. Although he couldn't seem to shake that sudden case of deja vu, as if he knew this other child.

At Krinn's next line of questioning, Cada snorted as if to say 'hell no'... he shrugged looking to Marijus who did his best to pretend he couldn't hear the little snots. "Nah. He's not my daddy but I don't mind letting him pose as one. He's really nice once you get past all the strange speech and mannerisms." He chuckled. "And he's only scary when he's screaming and roughing me up a bit..." Cada half pouted at that, realizing most of those times were because he'd done something rather outlandish. "What about your daddy? He don't look capable of taking care of a kid, in my opinion. A bit dense to me..." Cada tilted his head to the side the action causing a drop of ice cream to fall on Mr. Happy's head. He immediately licked the ice cream from the toy nibbling on its ear with a Cheshire smile.

Almost in that instant said toy was shoved rather rudely into Krinn's face. "Ah! I forgot to introduce you.. this is Mr. Happy!" And as introduced, Mr. Happy bowed (with help from Cada) as he tipped his top hat. "Nice to meet you, young sir. What might your name be?" Mr. Happy asked as Cada peeked sheepishly from behind the toy in anticipation. "Pardon young sir, my manners are amiss. This is my young master, Cadaver but please call him Cada he prefers it that way."

Krinn blinked as a toy was stuffed into his face, and almost withdrew and fell onto the table behind him. But he was able to catch his balance and sigh then glance at the doll, watching it tip its tophat. With curiousity, he placed an elbow on the edge of the booth and propped his head in his hand with a grin. "A pleasure to meet you both." He said, playing along with the dolls antics. Thats what kids were all about right? Anyways, Lan never really played with him in that sense. He was always worrying about something, or trying to relax. But overall he was a good guy when it came down to it all. "I'm Krinn, Mr. Happy." He introduced, and glanced down at both of them, his tanktop ruffled by all the events having gone on that day.

He wondered about what the other had said before introducing himself and snorted with a bit of laughter, then yawned. Brushing a piece of hair away from his face, the lifedust child shrugged.
"Lans not my dad, really. I dunno who my real parents were. Or if I even had any for that matter." He said, looking at Mr. Happy with a small curiousity at how the doll came to be like that. "He can be a bit dense, honestly." Krinn rolled his eyes at the statement, but thought that it was alright, because Lan was still nice enough. "But once you get through all the little faults, hes an okay guardian. Just a bit....klutzy." Krinn thought it was a good word to describe the man. Stretching, Krinn crossed his arms and smiled.

Looking over as Sona leaped onto his shoulder and contently curled around, not wanting to attack anything anymore, Krinn cocked an eyebrow. The cat began to sleep on his shoulder and he sighed before looking at Cada again.
"Sorry about what happened earlier, this is Sonare." He said, pointing to the cat who was now on his shoulder. Then he glanced up, pondering if Lan was still cleaning the kitchen. The man always made it perfect so that it was easy for him to clean the next day and so on. Krinn hadnt really noticed Marijus at all. His attention was with the conversation Cada and him were having, and at that moment, he didnt mind what the guy was doing.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 03, 2008 11:56 pm

Cada listened intently, happy to have found someone else in the same situation as him. Knowing not his parents or if he had any either. "Adults are strange, my daddy is an alcoholic!" He blurted out causing Marijus to spit out the alcohol of which he'd been drinking. "Cada! Is dat really necessary to say?" Marijus glared at the boy who ducked low using Mr. Happy as a sheild from his daddy's wrath. "But it's true!" Cada insisted ducking lower with every glare he got. Eventually, his attention shifted from Marijus to the cat where he gleed happily.

"I never saw a cat until now." He informed. "Is it okay to pet him?" He asked venturing a cautious go. The fur was soft and as he pet the cat he nodded at Krinn's words. "It's okay, he was probably interested in meeting Mr. Happy. Everyone likes Mr. Happy!" Over excited or maybe just a normal thing, Cada was bouncing in his seat. "So do you live close by? My daddy has an apartment in the redlight district. I hear a lot of folks tell daddy it's no place to raise a kid." Again this got a reaction out of Marijus who simply groaned. "Seriously, kid, nae don't live in no redlight district... tis a tavern. A tavern! And what yae be knowin' bout redlight districts?" Cada blinked at the man then turned back to Krinn and their conversation ignoring the questioning parental figure.

Only this time he leaned in closer so Krinn could hear and not Marijus. "I got a secret. One time I couldn't sleep so snuck to the bar downstairs and there were lots of pretty ladies. They were dancing and singing with some drunk men. One of the ladies saw me but instead of telling on me she asked me if I knew what "sex" was. When I told her I didn't she just laughed and gave me a kiss on the forehead and walked away. I wasn't suppose to be down there so don't tell my daddy he doesn't know." Cada informed. Marijus leaned over to whisper, "Nae do now." This got a groan from the child who scratched the back of his head sheepishly. There was nothing he could say to defend himself. "s**t!"

"Alcoholic?" Lan cocked an eyebrow and watched Sona pur at the hand of the other boy. "I thought that was unhealthy." He laughed a little at Marijus's outburst at the statement and watched Sona raise his head to get patted. Atleast the cat was being friendly for once in his life. Wondering if Lan was going to get mad that he was talking to customers, Krinn rustled around a bit to get more comfortable with the feline lacing his shoulders and grinned. "Sonas pretty mellow, once you get past his urdge to climb all over you." he said with a nod. "So its easy to pet him." Lan blinked at the question, and chewed on his lip on thought.

At the next question Cada threw out, he blinked and smiled.
"We live pretty close by in a condo - or whatever Lan likes to call it." Curious, he cocked his head to the side. "Your dad lives in the redlight district? Whazzat?" He asked, letting Sona venture suspiciously from his shoulder onto Cadas. It seemed like Cada and him had atleast one thing in common. They rarely ever listened to their parents when having fun or talking to someone else. Krinn relaxed his shoulders, and suddenly craved what Lan was most likely eating at the current moment. Yogurt.

Lan had to smile at the tale told by Cada before Marijus leaned over and stretched his arms, making for a low yawn.
"Sex?" He blinked and shook his head. "Lan said I couldnt know until I was much much older what that meant, and Dasity said it was the 'deeply physical love between two people.' " he paused with a frown. "Whatever that means." Of course, Krinn was still very oblivious to things such as sex and what the heck the female waitress could possibly mean by that. Finding a hand on his head, Krinn looked up at Lan, who sat irritated but keeping his calm. "Krinn, how many times have I told you not to repeat anything perverted that comes out of Dasity's mouth?" He said, his tone conveying the words 'when I get my hands on that girl....' Looking up, he smiled sheepishly at the other man. "Excuse me, I hope Krinn's not causing too much trouble. Is there anything else I can get you two?" He asked, reverting to waiter mode while Krinn stuck out his tongue at Lans back once the other took his hand away and turned back to Cada.

Cada was content at just petting the cat until the creature shifted from Krinn's shoulders to his own. He squealed at how cute the cat was and didn't mind having the creature on his shoulders since it made it easier to pet him more. As the two were talking Cada tried explaining the redlight district but even he didn't know. "I don't know the facts but lots of adults think the redlight district is bad for kids to live." He shrugged nonchalantly considering it was really out of his league to understand. "But daddy does likes to sneak out late at night when he thinks I'm sleep." And the father in question eyeballed his new son wondering just how resourceful this child was. How did he know so much about his midnight trysts with the pretty ladies?

His attention on Krinn, Cada listened to the other dustchild as he explained his brush with the topic of sex. It seemed like an important word but no one wanted to explain to either child what it meant. Cada wondered if it were something he were to learn later down the road in his life? "Deep physical love?" Cada questioned looking up to find Lan had returned just as the topic had turned to something interesting. He pouted slightly sitting back in his seat as Lan spoke with Marijus.

"E'ery'tings okay on dis end, sir. Nae 'tink we'll have de check." Marijus informed as he nudged Cada to his feet. "Be nice and say goodbye." The surprised look on Cada's face brought forth an outburst in the next instant. "I don't wanna go yet! I wanna stay and talk with Krinn..." Cada whinned. "Dat may be but we gotta go now.. ya got a habit of gossipin' and dat ain't cool. Let's go Cada."

He pouted more and stompped his foot this time. "You always take away my fun. I just wanted to make new friends... It's so boring at the tavern. No one my age to play with." He pouted. Marijus stood to his feet looking down on the brat then to Krinn and finally his emerald gaze fell on Lan. There was something he wanted to discuss with the other man but with the children in close proximity it looked near impossible. A slight smile etched his lips as he knelt down next to Cada. "Tell ya what... go outside with Krinn nae like to speak with Lan a moment. Deal?" Cada's eyes brightened as he looked to Krinn happily. "Tis okay if de boys go out to play, yes? Nae want to ask yae some'ting." Marijus asked his gaze falling on Lan.

Krinn cocked his head to the side, making notes in his head to ask Lan about all of this later. For that he'd probably get in trouble, but it was always entertaining to see Lan so flustered sometimes when he asked really oblivious questions. Why the young adult turned so red was something Krinn didnt understand, but it was still fun to watch. Watching the slight arguement between Marijus and Cada, Krinn blinked, then glanced up as the suggestion was made to go outside. He glanced over at Lan and hoped the young adult would say yes. "Just...dont get in trouble." Lan sighed, untying his apron and folding it while placing the check on the desk softly and letting the apron drape over his forearm.

Hopping off the booth, he turned on his foot and smiled at Cada.
"C'mon, we can talk more outside without the parents." He said with a laugh before turning on his heel and opening the door to and walking out. Lan watched the two walk outside, and blinked, looking over at Marijus. Stretching his arms above his head, the young adult blinked, having finished up with cleaning and cocked his head to the side. What did the man need to ask him? It made him rather confused, but atleast the kids were satisfied that they got to play a little more. Lan could deal without a night of complaining from Krinn because he didnt get to talk with the other before they had left. Honestly, the boy seemed to be making friends every other second, and every time Lan turned away he seemed to be bouncing off with new ideas in his head. Well....atleast he didnt have a brother to make things even more hyper.

Lan glanced at Marijus once more and turned fully to them, once the kids were safely out of range, suspiciously having a feeling this had to deal with things the kids were better off not listening in on.
"So, what is it you wanted to ask?" He said curiously, cocking his head to the side and smiling sheepishly. Placing his apron down over the booth, Lan took out the hair tie in his hair to redoe the messy ponytail from a long day of work. Tying it into a spiky bun at the nape of his neck, the young adult hooked his arms behind his back and pondered what could possibly be on the mans head. He highly doubted this tough looking doctor wanted to know the recipe to the cake he had just eaten.

Marijus sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose as he watched the two children head outside. He eyed Lan for a moment before taking a seat once more. It had dawned on him then that Cadaver was capable of wearing him out long before the day was finished. Taking a deep breath once more he pulled out his money pouch paying the bill pluse tips. His emerald gaze finally landed on Lan once more a stern and serious gaze that only a doctor could pull off.

"Nae been meanin' to ask yae," He began trying to find the right words to bring the topic to a head. When words eluded him he simply blurted out his thoughts wanting to cut to the grit of the matter. "Yae find any bottles lying bout lately dat tend to grow children outta them?" He questioned. His hand instantly went to the back of his neck scratching sheepishly as he realized how brazen that questioning was. "Well yae probably can tell dat boy not my biological son. Nae be takin' care of him since recently but the mystery behind his coming into dis world is still farfetch." He looked outside noting Cada's lavender tresses and yellow cap as he bounced excitedly over something. "He's not normal. And nae don't want to pry but nae remember hearing yae say some'ting bout a bottle earlier. Nae can't help but feel that's no coincedence." His inquiring trailed off after that. Having no idea what more he could say or ask. He simply needed to get some of the frustrations over the whole issue concerning Cada off his chest.

"Ah...." Lans mind clicked into place. So thats why Cada had looked so different. Like Krinn, in a different aspect. He sighed and sat down across from Marijus, hands in his laps as he bowed his head, trying to think of some logical way to say this. "I did mention something about the bottle earlier, didnt I?" He mused, almost to himself. It made perfect sense now. Sable had shown up mysteriously, and Krinn had as well. Maybe that was why Cada and him got along so well. It seemed like they all had a keen sense to be drawn to eachother even though they didnt really realize it at all. Krinn had even complained about a sense of deja vu, and Lan had realized this wasnt probably some coincidence at all. Looking at Marijus seriously for a second, Lan decided on how he would try and place his words as carefully as possible to not sound crazier then need be. "I found a bottle about three weeks ago, and through a short amount of time it turned into Krinn. Atleast, I'm pretty sure it turned into Krinn, because the bottle disappeared right when he appeared."

Lan smiled sheepishly, seeing a flash of storm gray hair out the window and wondering what the two had gotten themselves into already. The sun was heading towards the horizon, its mixed colors dancing through the window. Looking out of it, Lan took the time to admire the sky while he kept talking.
"I took care of Krinn because he had no memory, and nowere to go, which just confirmed what I had originally thought." He paused, thinking about what else he could inform the man of. New bottles and children seemed to be showing up all around as of late. Rubbing the back of his head, Lan looked back at Marijus for a second. "Actually, it seems there are a lot more of these bottles and children then I thought...I've already met one other person with a child from a bottle. Its kind of like the children are drawn to eachother almost." Lan flicked an irritable piece of hair away from his face, then thought about if there was anything else.

"I dont know why there are suddenly bottles appearing out of the blue."
He stated, realizing how little they really knew. "I just have a feeling that it would be smart to raise the child and see what happens." Lan smiled once more at Marijus, trying to make the best of the insane sounding situation. "Sorry if this seems really crazy." He said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I dont get much of it myself, really." He looked outside at the two kids. Just how many were there, he wondered. And what was their purpose? Mias voice rang in his ears, but he didnt know whether what she said was true or not at all. Who knew, maybe he would figure something out if he just kept on going down the path he had chosen to take.
