The long awaited Beach Party is coming soon! Finally, a fun day in the sun, with a lecture from world renowned Professor Rowan of Shinnoh. But with Giovanni's usual evil schemes in the making, will the supposed calm gettogether spell disaster for our young heroes, or will they be able to repel the notorious Team Rocket once again?

(Hope that's a good placeholder Aire. <3

Robin watched Kilik fly off on Bahamut's back for a while before looking around the area. There were a lot of people gathered around, though that might just be because this was a popular area to be at. Robin wasn't quite sure. Still she had some time to kill before the competition started, she didn't really want to wear Luffy out before the contest by battling. After all she would need him healthy and didn't want to make a quick stop at the pokemon center. Eventually Robin decided to just watch some of the battles going on, there were plenty to choose from so it wouldn't be to much of a problem.

Meanwhile on Robin's head Luffy was perched looking around excitedly his head whipping around so fast just watching made your neck hurt. There were so many people here and so many exciting and cool looking things going on. Luffy's poor little ADD riddled mind had nothing to really focus on. That is until he spotted some thing, or someone, that looked really ultra cool to him at least.

The ultra cool thing to Luffy happened to be the coolest hat, next to his own, that he had ever seen. Forgetting everything around him Luffy just dashed off of Robin's head and ran over to said hat. It was strange, as he ran over he felt himself hit a sort of wall or something, ignoring it and shrugging it off he continued his mad dash to the hat, strange wall forgotten. The hat itself was black slouch hat, not that Luffy knew that, and happened to be on someones head.

"Woah," Said a somewhat surprised voice below the small Aipom. "Where did you come from?"

Somewhat surprised himself, Luffy hadn't even noticed clambering up onto someone, he looked down to find him self staring into the brightest blue eyes he had ever seen. Blinking a few times the Aipom just stared down at the man he had climbed up for a moment before going back to messing with the hat.

"Whoa whoa there little guy. Don't mess with the hat. You should know that since you are wearing such a nice one yourself." The man grinned and picked Luffy up off of his shoulder and held him out, somewhat awkwardly, so that he was looking at his face. The man appeared to be in his mid-twenties, like Luffy noticed before he had bright blue eyes. What he hadn't noticed before was the dark hair cut in a sort of mutton chop the sideburns looking rather good instead of strange on him. His face was somewhat unshaven giving him a sort of rugged look.

Over all Luffy though he seemed pretty cool, he did compliment Hat after all. So instead of doing anything Luffy just smiled at him and swung his tail back and forth happily.

Meanwhile Robin had noticed the second Luffy had jumped off of her and was frantically looking for him. She hated it when he did this, just running off for little to no reason. Growling slightly she walked to all the battles trying to find the small Aipom. However Luffy was no where to be seen. Slightly confused Robin stopped in the middle of the road and looked around trying to spot him on one of the sides. After a second she caught a flash of purple and a familiar straw hat. "Atch! Luffy!" She shouted running off to where she spotted him. "Luffy what have I to-Oh..." She trailed off as she saw that Luffy was being held up by someone else. "Umm, hello. Sorry if he is bugging you. He just likes to run off all the time without warning."

The man smiled at her from under his hat and pushed himself up off of the fence post he was leaning on. "That's ok. He just liked my hat is all." He shifted Luffy to one hand as he said that and tipped it slightly. "Anyway I believe this is yours." He motioned to Luffy still in his arm with a grin still on his goofy face.

Laughing nervously Robin took a quick glance up at the man's gently smiling face before nodding. "Ah yeah sorry once again about Luffy." She said reaching out to take him from the man.

Keegan's question surprised Kasiya quite a bit, as she'd been pondering how she'd react if she captured the wrong Pokemon. She stared at him for a moment or two, blinking in surprise before words finally started to connect from her brain to her mouth.

"You? Boring? Of course not!" she nearly shouted, causing Flash to look up at her and watch the two trainers intently. "That's a pretty silly thing to ask," she went on, shaking her head. "You're one of the coolest people I know, Keegan, and believe me, I don't hang around with boring people." She smiled at him, tilting her head to the side. She figured he was asking because he hadn't been on any big adventures like she and the others had, but then again he had said he'd started out a bit later than they did as a trainer. "We'll have plenty of adventures of our own," she went on, thinking about how they'd soon be arriving in Slateport. "Like I told you earlier.... I kinda have this feeling that something is going to happen at the seminar, but I don't know what. It's not a good feeling, and I don't know if Mike or the others are going to be there or not, so I'm going to need you by my side just in case." Flash rolled his eyes from his position on his trainer's lap - it seemed like she sure talked a lot. "So no... you're not boring," she reiterated, lightly touching his cheek with her hand. "You're completely the opposite of that. You're fun to be around and I love spending time with you. Would you like to get that in writing?" she added, giving him a playful wink.

"No problem at all." The man said smile still on his face as he handed Luffy back to Robin. "Pokemon tend not to like me to much so I was a bit surprised when this little guy just ran up to me." He gave Luffy a small grin and tipped his hat at the small Aipom as well. "By the way the names Ampersand, Ampersand Cero. What might your name be?" He asked holding a tanned hand out.

Blushing a bit Robin giggled slightly before taking his hand and shaking it slightly. "My name is Robin Knight, and the Aipom that climbed up you is named Monkey D. Luffy." Letting go of his hand Robin looked at Ampersand. He was wearing a simple black tee-shirt and jeans, the boots underneath seemed fairly worn. Around his neck a pair of dogtags hung glinting slightly in the late morning sun. He was fairly well built as well, not overly muscled but just enough for Robin to feel like she needed to head to the gym.

"So are you here for the bug catching contest Miss. Knight?" Ampersand asked politely. All the while his bright blue eyes were watching Luffy with interest.

Confused for a second by him calling her by her last name it took Robin perked up at the question. "Oh! Yeah I am. Luffy and I are going to try to capture our first pokemon here." She paused looking at him for a second and not spotting any pokeball's on him. "Are you here for the contest as well? I thought you had to have a pokemon to enter..."

Kilik fell asleep on top of the large dragon right as they passed over the Whirl Islands. It was going to be a long flight, so why not take a nice rest? His mind was riddled with images of the Pokemon that Professor Rowan might bring to the table at this seminar of his. What sort of Pokemon awaited them in this faraway region? He was never told the name, so he figured few have traveled there. He knew that his friends wouldn't dare miss out on such a chance, either. Kilik would finally see his friends again - Kasiya, M.A., and Keegan, even though they only met once. So there weren't many friends, but they were still there. Robin would be there too, which would let him introduce someone for once.

Then again, this was definitely a magnet for the likes of Team Rocket. Amongst his group of buddies, Kilik knew the Team better than any of them and knew their tactics first hand. Giovanni would not miss out on a chance to take such rare Pokemon, or miss the chance to try and take him out. He cringed. Going there would let Giovanni kill two birds with one stone - literally. However, his friends weren't pushovers and could at least hold Giovanni off. He bit his lip in his sleep.

Another chill ran through him. If Team Rocket was going to show up, that would mean Mai would be there. The woman who held him at gunpoint to force him to come back and talk with Giovanni. He even fainted when being abducted. She was definitely the last person he would ever want to see again, Giovanni aside. She was just as ruthless and almost as powerful as the Leader himself. If both happened to show up, it would definitely spell trouble for all the trainers involved.

Bahamut looked down at the small town of Cianwood City. She was able to pass over it within fifteen minutes of entering it's boundaries. The dragon stretched out her wings and gave them a mighty flap to lift herself a little higher into the air. She did have to be careful with her trainer on board, so this was about as high as she could go without hurting him. The Flygon weaved in and out of a group of migrating Pidgey, led by a large Pidgeotto. She'd never seen Pokemon like that before - they seemed somewhat similar to the Tailow and Swellow she had seen in her home region. She squealed excitedly.

"The Bug Catching Contest? Oh no I am not entering. I am just here to watch. It helps to get out and about sometimes you know?" He paused for a second as he leaned back again and sat himself down on the rail. "So do you have any idea on what you are going to catch?"

Robin just shrugged as she adjusted her hold on Luffy, the monkey was trying to get back to Ampersand to see more of his cool hat. "No I figure there is no point getting your heart set on something. Luffy and I will figure out what works best for us. It isn't about winning but finding out what works best for our team." This was very important to her. She had no aspirations of being a great pokemon trainer. All she wanted were friends for her to travel around with.

"Well that's a pretty good attitude to have."

"The Bug Catching Contest is about to start. All contestants please meet at the gate for further instructions." Came an announcement over the loud speaker. Robin, Ampersand and Luffy all looked up at the speaker as the announcement was made.

"Well it sounds like you need to be going Miss Knight. I hope you find whatever it is your team needs." He said giving her a small grin.

Perking up Robin smiled and nodded. "Thank you very much Ampersand. I hope you have a nice day." That said she scurried off to the entrance Luffy in tow.

Grinning Ampersand tugged the brim of his hat down and thought to himself. 'Well that sure was interesting. Never actually meet a pokemon before.'

Miharu had Sparkle continue practicing her Thundershock attack on Lily until the little Mareep seemed to have had enough. She could barely generate any sparks from her woolly body by the time Miharu recalled her into her Pokeball in order to let her have a nice rest, and the green-haired girl looked up as an announcement came over the loud speaker, telling all contestants to gather at the gate.

"It's time already?" she gasped, also recalling Lily and folding up her bike in order to store it. She'd run about ten steps towards the gate when she stopped, remembering that she'd left Starrie in the fountain. After retrieving her Staryu, she ran full-tilt towads the gate where the others were meeting, huffing as she finally made it. She didn't like the idea of leaving her Pokemon behind, but it was one of the rules, and she mentally began to prepare herself to part with them. "Tingle, you'd better behave yourself," she told the Pokeball sternly as she took Aska's in her hand, as not to accidentally leave the Pokemon she'd entered behind. Looking around, she didn't see many interesting trainers, except for one. A girl stood nearby, looking eager for the contest to begin, and she had an Aipom with her. The most intriguing thing about the little monkey Pokemon is that it wore a hat. Smiling at the cute little Pokemon, Miharu looked towards the front, where someone was seemingly preparing to give the contestants their instructions for the contest.

Robin and Luffy made their way inside the building looking around with wide eyes. There were a lot of trainer's inside, most of them bug catchers though. In fact as Robin looked around she noticed that there were only two girls there, her and a younger girl with green hair. This wasn't to surprising though, most girls didn't really like bug pokemon. Robin herself never really saw a problem with them, then again she liked almost all pokemon types. Turning her attention up front she listened to the ranger who was explaining the rules.

"Ok you all will be given twenty pokeballs and three hours to capture a bug pokemon. You can capture as many as you want but you can only turn one in for the inspection at the end. Also, you may exit the contest at any time you want. If you caught the pokemon you wanted then just head to the east end exit and we will judge your pokemon right then and there." The ranger paused for a second. "Make sure you have dropped off all of your pokemon other then the one you will be competing with. The pokeballs, which all must be returned at the end of this, will be in bags on the tables outside. I hope you all have a good time and good luck." That said the ranger stepped to the side to avoid being trampled by rabid bug catchers as the horn sounded announcing the beginning of the competition.

Grinning at Luffy who she had let crawl up to her shoulder Robin walked out at a much calmer pace then the others who were rushing out. "All right Luffy! Let's go find our selves a bug pokemon." Going to the table she picked up a small satchel filled with twenty pokeballs and slung it over her arm.

From his perch Luffy was looking around excitedly. There were so many people and bug pokemon were simply everywhere. He could see Caterpie's crawling around in the grass. Around the flower's he could see a few Butterfree. Over all Luffy was sure they could find a new member for Robin and his adventures.

After handing over her four other Pokemon, and giving a stern look to the man whom she'd given them to, Miharu grabbed her own satchel of Park Balls and headed off into the lush grasses of the National Park, her eagerness nearly causing her to run the entire way. She made sure not to go in the same direction as anyone else (there were about twenty competetors all up) and once she was a good way in, she threw up her Pokeball and let Aska out.

"Okay Aska, I'm going to need your keen eyesight to help me out here. I want you to fly around overhead and keep your eyes peeled for tough-looking bug Pokemon, okay?" The Pidgeotto gave a screech, and with a powerful flap of her wings, she lifted herself into the air, circling high above while Miharu kept her eyes open on the ground below. The young trainer kept a Park Ball at the ready in her hands, which were quivering with excitement. She didn't see any Pokemon nearby, but she knew they were out there just waiting to be captured.

Keegan knew she'd respond that way, but he smiled anyway. Of course Kasiya didn't think he was boring. "Thanks," he said, reaching out and grasping her hand as she went to pull it away from him. "I don't think I need it in writing though."

To be honest, he wasn't sure why he'd asked such a stupid question. He had no reason to be down on himself right now. He studied his reflection in the window of the train compartment, noting that his previous bruises had pretty much faded away. Things were better then they'd ever been, not only with himself, but with Kasiya, and his Pokemon. He was on his way; he was becoming something. But why the dumbass question?

"It was a dumb thing to ask you, I'm sorry," he said, shaking his head. "Forget I even said it, all right?" He flashed her a genuine smile, continuing to hold onto her hand. "Let's just sit back and enjoy the ride. These next few days are gonna be fun, I just know it."

He had hope, at the very least.

"It's okay," Kasiya nodded, looking out the window at the passing scenery. "Already forgotten." She gave Keegan's hand a little squeeze as if to reassure him, while the fingers of her other hand continued to lightly stroke Flash's soft fur. The Jolteon was making a near purring sound in his contentedness, eyes closed as he was nearly asleep. His long ears would twitch whenever a sound was made, and sometimes he'd peer sleepily in its general direction. Overall, the rest of the ride was very quiet and comfortable.

Lunch passed by fairly uneventfully, and it wasn't long after that when the train finally arrived at the station in Slateport City. The passengers began to stand up and stretch as they rolled to a stop, and the doors opened and soon people were filing onto the platform in good-sized numbers. "We'd better go too," Kasiya said, recalling Flash and gathering her things. She stepped outside and took a breath of the fresh, Hoenn air, and smiled. Hoenn was a nice region, and it would be cool to earn a few badges from here before she returned to Kanto to finish her badge conquest there.

Kilik woke up slowly, rubbing his eye. He had a dreamless flight, though his mind was certainly running around with enough images and thoughts to make a dream. The boy sat up and looked down below his dragon. They were en route directly over Lilycove City. How long had he been out? Easily a few hours. At least Bahamut was flying fast enough to get him to his friend faster. Kilik patted his Pokemon on the back hard enough to catch her attention. "We'll need to be landing soon," he called out, "so start descending!"

With a nod and a very loud squeal, the Flygon began to fly lower. She narrowly dodged the Lilycove Department Store, and steadied herself when she felt Kilik practically flail on her back for safety. She gave a light giggle of sorts and skimmed her claws over the trees surrounding Lilycove and the Safari Zone.

Kilik could see trainers below fighting and training. To his left he could see Mt. Pyre, one of the many places in Hoenn surrounded in mystery. Some say that Mt. Pyre was the place were all Pokemon died and that the Cave of Origin in Sootopolis was the birthing grounds of all Pokemon. He couldn't exactly find any truth to these myths. After all, he had experienced the birth of a Pokemon first hand and he was, in fact, quite far away from the Cave of Origin. At least it was a place that could give Hoenn a certain flair that other Regions seemed to lack.

He tilted to the right (which in turn caused Bahamut to veer that way as well) and flew towards the large bridge Mike had mentioned on the phone. Flygon flew downwards at a faster pace when she felt Kilik pat her back and tell her to go down again. She could see a group of four Pokemon (most notably a very large Steelix) and figured that was who they were coming to see. "Hey! Hey, Mike!" Kilik called out, waving his arm in the air when he saw him. "Check me out!" He jumped off when Flygon landed a few feet away from Mike and his Pokemon. "Say hello to Bahamut," Kilik laughed, rubbing the dragon on her shoulder.

Unfortunately for Kilik, Mike's previous battle and lack of sleep coupled with the stress from his previous battle against Giovanni and Maorde was a bit too much for his body to take, and he was sound asleep as the black haired boy made his descent. He was sprawled over an equally tired Felsic, who acted as a sort of full body pillow. However, Nitro, Titanium and Portabello were awake and greeted the boy.

Greetings Sir Kilik.
The ever polite Breloom bowed respectfully as Kilik made his way over to the group. The other two waved normally. (As normal as a dragon and metallic snake can pass for basic human interaction.) Sorry to say, but the Master has been under a good deal of stress lately and retired to his Typhlosion. After his last battle, he just flopped over onto Felsic, who decided a nap was in his best interest as well. Lest he actually admit he needs rest, he has been out for a few hours. I think it's acceptable if you were to rouse him now.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 26, 2008 6:28 pm

"Hey there Bre---" Kilik cut himself off and tried to remember the nickname Mike had given the Pokemon before him, "Uh...Portabello!" the boy snapped his fingers in delight when he found it, "Poor Mike, all sleepy because of a few battles. But if you insist I can wake him, Portabello, then I'm sure this'll do..." he pulled the Great Ball from his belt and enlarged it, tossing it up. "C'mon out, Lairon!" he laughed.

Lairon emerged from the ball, feeling much more energetic the moment he saw the powerful looking Pokemon in front of him. He growled lowly then looked over at Flygon. Was that the same Pokemon he had fought against in the middle of the night? His master did mention something about helping a Pokemon evolve. Helping...peh.

Kilik huddled Flygon closer to him and motioned for Lairon to move closer. Reluctantly, the Iron Pokemon agreed. "Alright...when I say 'three', I want you to use your best Screech, Bahamut. Got it?" he whispered very quietly. With a silent nod, the Flygon moved over to Mike and leaned her head down close to his face, breathing very softly. "And you, Lairon. I want you to use the loudest Roar you can muster." With a huff, the large Pokemon pounded over to the sleeping trainer, opposite Flygon, and readied himself. Kilik pressed a finger to his lips as he cast glances towards Mike's other three Pokemon.

"Ready? One...two..." he took a deep breath, "THREE!" Bahamut reared her head back, took in as much air as she could, and let out a very shrill Screech while Lairon opened his mouth wide and Roared the loudest he'd ever Roared before.

Both Felsic and Mike literally leaped into the air the instant Kilik's Pokemon decided to play alarm clock. While his Pokemon certainly found it amusing, the trainer, and his Typhlosion did not. "What's going on?!" The boy shouted, his vision still blurred from his nap. Confronted with two unknown and aggressive Pokemon, Mike could not make out the person commanding them. Squinting his best, he could only make out blurry tall figure with dark hair. The thought that it would be his friend he just spoke to didn't even croos his mind. "Felsic, it's gotta be those evil Aqua grunts, Flamethrower!" He commanded, before charging up a fireball of his own. "Hah!" He grunted as he let loose a jolt of flame from his specialized gloves at what he thought was an evil Flygon. It was much smaller in comparison to his Typhlosion's Flamethrower, who aimed for the Lairon.
