Kahawia didn't like straying to far from the little ones for too long since they weren't actually hers and Tama needed all the help he could get. However, she needed a break. The kids were more rambunctious than anticipated and five minutes or so to herself couldn't hurt too much. She walked for a few minutes towards the not too distant trees of the jungle hoping none of the youngins didn't spot her slinking away.

Ajali had slipped away yet again, her young had grown and were nearing the age where youngsters ran off to find adventure and mates of their own, she only hoped that grandcubs did not come too soon. The mocha and black leopardess was feeling adventurous herself, the day before she'd met an interesting fellow, he had stolen her necklace, but she did not mind, he was sweet, charming, and when she awoke the next morning no wherein sight.

She sighed in her adventuring mood and made her way towards the open grassy lands, it was time to see if she could pick out her nieces scent, the leopard lion had stormed of talking about adventure as well as a vision about someone she had to meet. "When will little ones ever learn!" She murmured exasperated.

Since she hadn't planned on a long break, a meeting with another seemed risky, but her caution was out the window before it had even come in the room. New people were exciting and her "children" would certainly understand. She knew how they worked. Well, at least she tought she did since her mind was equal to theirs. Everyone said so so it must be true. She altered he direction slightly towards the leopardess emerging from the jungle.

Ajali's eyes fell upon the cheetah and her heart lept, she had not seen one in some time, they were not often found in the confines of the jungle, probably because they were free to run as fast as the wind and were awful climbers, at least in her opinion.

"Hello there!" she called warmly, "Coming to visit the jungle?" she quickened her pace to catch up to the cheetah, she had noted the cheetah saw her, and even changed direction to go towards her. "I am Ajali," she spoke warmly, this was not a time to be sad she was determined to lighten her mood.

Kahawia hadn't met a leopard before and noticed that her appearance was different from everyone from her past. However, this Ajali character reminded her slightly of Tama's children that were now in her care. "Hello!" she replied happily, "Actually, I don't have time to go to the jungle today." The edges of her mouth turned downwards a little at the statement since she did miss the exploring she had grown used to. She shook off the thought and introduced herself. "My name's Kahawia! Nice ta meet'cha!"

"No time for the lovely jungle?" Her eyes widened and returned to their natural state, "that's unheard of, what has you in a rush, Kahawia? I rarely venture away from the magical place of my home, that and my sons reside in the depts." She beamed proudly and covered the rest of the distance, she was very close to the cheetah. "I have not seen a cheetah in a long time, you are a sight for sore eyes." she purred chattering away.

" 'Fraid not. I've got cubs to get back to once I get my head back on straight again." She sat to talk to the femme for a while. She was too excited to stand and come off as in a total hurry. After all, she had time to kill.

"Well I could say the same for you, miss. I don't even really know what you are exactly. You look kinda familiar, but I ain't seen someone exactly like you before." She hadn't talked to Tama about who or what mothered his akward cubs, but somewhere in the back of her brain the wheels started to turn.

"Cubs! How I miss them running around, mine are all grown, my litle nephew is the closest I have to being a cub of my own, and I like it that way," she chuckled. Getting your head on straight was something she knew well there were six nieces and nephews at one point, and not they were down to two of her sister's children, and two of her own. She loved each and every one of them dearly, but she knew the benefits of slipping away.

"I miss, am a leopardess, we are native to the jungles usually, but sometimes we venture out into the world, mostly I've only seen cheetahs in the plains and leopards in the trees."

"This is the first time I've had to occupy their attention for so long. I've run into them before, but I can't leave these like the others did to me." Tama's babies were kinda like having neices and nephews, could she treat them like that? No, that's stupid. "Take care of them like they're your own, stupid," she thought.

"A leopardess... I've never heard of those." She was just glad her first encounter was a good one. Hate to have a bad name on every other leopard she'll meet in the future...

"We're around, I think many of us are solitary creatures, I know Mleli, that's my sister would prefer to be alone, but I force myself on her," she laughed loudly a deep warm sound, "They are not your own cubs?" She asked suddenly, the lovely cheetah's words finally sinking in enough for her to understand, "A family members?" She questioned nosily. Ajali was usually a bit stange, but today she was talkative, a thing that happened more than just a 'bit' she talked and talked and talked. The cheetah was not male, a good thing to be told because male's and children usually brought out a very strange side of the leopardess. She liked to mimic like birds, as well as repeat her self over and over again in children and male's presence.

"There are so many of us, six right now, but at our most we've had eight, not including our snake. All family of course."

"They're not technically mine. Well, I was out on the plains one day and ran into a male cheetah who looked like he'd collapse if he walked anymore than he already had so I helped him get food for himself and his children. I'm not sure where the babies had come from, but I know they're his." She realized how odd the story was as she retold it. "I brought food back to his children with him and somehow I became their substitute mother." She really had to think about how many were in her family now. She'd been by herself since adolescence and remembering she had others to keep track of was hard. "There's seven of us including me... I think."

"That was very kind of you to take on the role as their mother, I assume many females would not like to take care of another's children," she nodded sadly, what a touching story, such a warm hearted cheetah. "Seven is not a bad number, more love to go around I suppose, I'd rather there be a large number to share love with than tiny number." She smiled and nodded. Would her sons have large families like her? She was no where near ready to be so old that her children could have children, but it made her heart warm thinking of her family growing in size. She loved to play, and to teach children all she knew, even if they were just her weird habits.

"I'm sure you helping them will help you in the long run, love is the best gift someone can give and receive," she sounded like a love sick hyena in her own opinion, but there was nothing at all wrong with that.

Kahawia was glad for the big family. More cubs meant more fun once they didn't want food all the time. She hoped that once Tama's children had grown she'd be able to have a rather large family herself. "I do hope this helps me with my future children. I've heard too many times that I'm too childish to be able to take care of my own children someday," She said in a mimicing tone then she scrunched up her face in dislike. "I'll probably have to grow up now, won't I?"
