30HP ~ This is the amount of health you have (if you reach 0, you only die if you want your RPC to die. However you must report into your village hospital if you do not have a medical nin on your team.)
1-5 ~ This is use in the random number system, basicly when you attack, you use the random number system to determain how much health is taking of your foe.
Now these numbers as you will see below change for each rank. Also, some bloodlines and demons have speical effects over these numbers.

GENIN/MEDICAL APPRENTICE: 50 HP, 1-5 (Heals 2-5)

Effects with Demon Tails
You cannot use your tails till you become a Chunnin
The 1st Tail will increase your HP and Random by 0.5
E.g. 70 x 0.5 = 35, 35 + 70 = 105HP
And with each tail you gain 0.1 so with 2 tails it would be by 0.6, 3 tails 0.7 and so on…
There is also a 'dodging system' in play, basicly inset of attack, do a random number between 1 and 3. If it is 1 or 3, you do not dodge the attack and it is taken of your health, if it is 2, you dodge the attack and keep your current health.
Also you will notice some of the ranks have (HEALS) with another set of numbers beside that. If you have been trained to be a medical nin, this means insted of attack you can heal youself and your other team members. The random number system works in the same way for that

If you have the Byakugan and you use the gentle fist, the random numbers and dodging will be different. When dodging, the following will happened depending on the attack;
Hakkesho Kaiten (Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin)
This will automatically make you dodge, but you still get half of the damage.
Hakkesho Dai Kaiten (Eight Trigrams Palms Great Heavenly Spin
This will automatically make you dodge, but you get ¼ of the damage.
Shugohakke Rokujuyon Sho (Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms)
This you will completely dodge the attack with no damage.
When attacking;
Hakke Rokujuyon Sho (Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms)
The random numbers will be between 1-64, and your foe wont be able to use chakra attacks for 2 turns.
Hyaku Retsu Sho (One Hundred Violent Palms)
The random numbers wil be between 1-100, and your foe wont be able to use chakra attacks for 3 turns.
Hakke Hyaku Nijuhachi Sho (Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms)
The random numbers will be between 1-128, and will stop your foe from using chakra attacks for 4 turns.
Hakuro Tenbu (White Haze Dance)
This attack will stop your foe from using chakra attacks for 4 turns, but the random numbers will be between 1- and your foe current health.
Hakke Sanbyaku Rokujuichi Shiki (Eight Trigrams Three-Hundred Sixty-One Style)
The random numbers will be between 1-361 and your foe will completely not be able to use chakra attacks.
Hakke Shō Ranbu (Palm Dance of Divination)
This attack will also be the same as the above and if you hit more then 270 then your foe will either die or be out of action (depending on your foes choice)
This will automatically make you dodge, but you still get half of the damage.
