Kain lingered outside the enterance to the shrine. This was their meeting place, apparently. Off to one side crouched Tamuril, going through some flowers, she kept mumbling about loosing some sort of ring - not that was any consern of Kain's. He was just curious about seeing that first herald he met. So far he hadn't actually met the same herald twice and it was making him nervious. He repeativly told himself he had no reason to be but that just made him more nervious. He tried remembering the name, least that would be a good step forward. "L....l....lu....lo...damn" Nope he couldn't remember at all, too much had happened in the mean time. Least he got the first sound right, well it sounded familar at least. The herald started doing the equivalent of pacing, floating back and forth in a squished circle, his wings giving him balance.
All three of them were present today. All dressed up to see their friends, Tamuril had gotten news that Locke was growing up fast and she didn't want to miss it at all. She had even gone at to buy him a present, though in the end she couldn't afford to get very much. It was kinda like a birthday but wasn't it too early for that? Then again, he was an angel - did they even have them?

Shino rocked young Locke back and forth in what appeared to be a hand-carved baby crib. Despite him actually getting older it actually appeared more as though he had reverted in age. But he was much healthier now which was wonderful. His bright blue eyes fluttered open as he brushed his snowy hair out of his face with his little hand. It was if he could sense something nearby, something familiar. He smiled and rolled over in the crib, gently folding his wings. He was growing more accustomed to them now, and they weren't as itchy and as bothersome as before though they still sometimes got in his way like when he tried to crawl under things. His eyes came to rest on Shino, whom he had decided was his new 'Mother' despite her being of young age herself. At least she was getting help from her family and her friends of course.
"Ooh he's awake now," Shino called with a happy flick of her mousey tail.
Pyper replied from the kitchen, "Good good, cause I think I sense guests!"
Eri was wandering still pacing around her room. Her fluffy, cat-like pets Lucian and Sakura had been playing with her hair ribbon and lost it. They sat on the bed watching the kitsune girl fling things around looking for the piece of fabric. Eri grumbled, "You guys could help me look for it ya know." But the little kittens just stared at her in amusement.
Pyper came out of the kitchen and headed for the main door leading outside. She gently slid it open to see who was on the other decide though she could venture a guess. She smiled and waved and her good friends.

Bethan was the first to notice movement from the inside. So they hadn't forgotten! She smiled a little remembering last time she saw them all before even thinking of calling the others she waved and started heading in the right direction.
Kain perked up striaght away as soon as the mouse-girl made a movement, he was always sensing his guardians vibrations else he was likely to get hit or something equally nasty would happen. He was getting used to her at least, as she kinda liked him.....but proberly only for the work. "Tami, come on! Don't worry about that....i'll er....find it later for you?" He said nerviously rushing after Bethan. He proberly wouldn't find it after all she could of lost whatever it was anywhere, but knowing Tamuril, she'd forget by the end of the day.
A sigh was heard from ahead by the two "Look, you left it to me for safe keeping, do what the boy says and come on, you wanted to see the other Herald didn't you? I just want to see Shino again" Bethan said irratably. Blunt but truthful, she wasn't trying to be mean but she wasn't about to wait till sunset to see her friends. Well, Tamurils friends at least - though they could be right? Oh, well in time she would find out anyway. She looked back, flicked her tail up to keep Kain a safe distance and smiled before increasing her speed towards the enterance.
"Pyper!" she called now trying to hide her happiness under a hat much to Kains amusment - though the Herald knew to keep it to himself by now.

Pyper grinned, waving the the girls and Kain over causeing the arm of her yukata to billow in the slight breeze. Eri and Shino were dressed much the same. Pyper in blue, Eri in red, and Shino in green. Even little Locke was wearing a blue yukata of his own. They had been tailored and given to the little mouse girl and her herald as a gift form Pyper and Eri since they visited the shrine so much. Shino appeared behind the snowy-haired princess when she heard her friend slide open the front door. It meant her friends Tamuril and Bethan were there, and hopefully their herald friend Kain as well. Her ears and tail flicked happily as she balanced Locke in one arm and waved spastically with the other. She was so excited! Eri darted through the hall, having given up on looking for her ribbon. When she zoomed by she noticed the others by the door. "Oh oh, they're here already?!" she asked, bouncing over, and giving a big wave hello as well. Though she could smell something in the kitchen, which caught her attention right away. "Oh my gosh, Pyper did you leave something cooking on the stove?!" And without even waiting for a response, she quickly darted off to the kitchen; her fluffy tail disappearing through another set of doors. Shino handed Locke up for Pyper to hold while she skipped down to meet their guests half-way. She was very happy to see them. It felt like it had been forever, especially since she had seen Bethan. "Hi!" she beamed. "Welcome! Welcome!" ~~~~~~ Quite a ways away, somewhere deep in the surrounding forest, a man sat resting under the shade of a large tree. His dark black hair ran down, falling to rest on his muscular shoulders. His white shirt hung open slightly, revealing his bare chest, where one could see a few notable scars. His brilliant green eyes scanned his surroundings as he tried to decide where he would head next. Next to him was a small duffle bag, holding a few small belongings and changes of clothes. Ever since the accident he had beome a vagrant. Truthfully he didn't remember much. He had apparently been rescued, but was told he was suffering from amnesia. According to the men who had found him, his village had been attacked, and he was the only survivor. Taking the name Dune, the young man left and began a journey. He couldn't help the feeling that something was missing. If he had had a family, and they had truely died in the attack, then he was alone in the world. But he wished to remain optimistic. He just couldn't believe that information. He felt somewhere, somehow, at least part of his past was still alive. And with no memories of his own, he decided to go fort and make new ones, and hopefully fill the void he felt in his heart. But it had been years since then. And with all his travels, he still had no leads. The mouse man was feeling at a loss when he felt somehow the hand of fate had guided him here to this place. But why? Only time would tell. ((sorry that took so long. I was trying to decide where I was going with this xD;; ))

Bethan only just stopped herself from laughing at Shino's welcomings and hugged her tight instead. It had certainly been longer than she thought but just thinking of all the changes upset her. Though she had noticed Shino was still growing up, but with her Herald it made her almost a mother, knowing that didn't make it so bad to have Kain around. They were just the same no? She smiled as the others caught up and headed up along the path finally arriving at the door.
Tamuril seeing Bethan so happy made her mood esulate even further and she took the new greeting to heart. Smiling while holding onto Kains hand she bowed slightly to both the girls at the doorway and the actual shrine itself. Everything that place stood for was good. Making sure first everyone was there and not left somewhere back down the path she giggled before replying. "Hi everyone! Good to see you all again?" she paused for a minute realising something or more exact someone was missing. "Wheres Eri?"
((sorry its not alot, had trouble thinking))

((that's ok <3 ^^ sometimes my posts are short too xD;
and so... let's say, Locke's about toddler to small child-size right? xD I think so. Maaaybe still in his crib, but he can walk now, but he likes being held. I had to think about this. xD))
"Come in. Come in. Oh Eri. She's-" Pyper began, but was cut off by a voice from the inside, probably the kitchen.
"I'm heeere!" Eri announced, coming out of the kitchen with what appeared to be a sizzling oven mit on her hand. "S'ok. I managed to save it P-chan," she said. Apparently she was referring to Pyper and whatever she had been cooking. But the delicious smell in the air suggested it was cake. When she realized she was still waring it, she tossed the glove back into the kitchen.
"That's good. Sorry I forgot about it. I just got excited when I sensed our friends were here!" Pyper explained with a small bow of apology.
"S'ok," Eri replied cheerfully, moving over to greet her friends. "Hi everybody! It's so great to see you!"
"I know right?!" Shino grinned, taking Locke back from Pyper to set him down on the floor. The mouse girl still had that cute, child-like innocence about her. Despite her sometimes mature side, she seemed to flip-flop back and forth between the two on whim without realizing.
Instead of sitting on the floor, Locke stood right back up and walked over to Tamuril and Betah, and then to Kain, as if inspecting them. He vaguely remembered. Before he was reborn into this new, healthy body he had met the one girl and the other Herald before. He smiled up at all three with curiousity.
"Locke, say 'hello'," Shino ordered.
"Hi," he said with a little blush, shuffling his barefeet.

((Awh, locke's so cute ^.^, lil' blush and everything. Yeah, so reborn is pretty much toddler stage, so that makes sense.))
Kain crouched down, well hovered down to see the Herald. His Black mists swirling it to what seemed to be crouching legs though they still refuses to touch the ground. He refuses to try and make them this time, but he really didn't want to seem intimadating to Locke. He may be talking and walking but he was still very young. The only thing telling Kain was there was vibrations, he had learned to make a picture out of vibrations in his head but he really missed the idea of colour. Except moonless nights the only time he had been able to see was when he was reborn himself, he really wished he could go back. Though it was luckier for him to have lost normal eyesight and have a guardiain. At least it was safe that way.
"Hi, Im Kain....do you remember me?"He placed a hand out towards Locke curiously but being polite enough to wait and see if they would touch. It gave him a better idea.
The mousegirl watched the other of her kind calmly with great admiration. She was doing great and hadn't changed a bit, it was slightly different for herself. Bethan nose twitched despite herself though as the smell of cake was quite strong and then even talking about it was making her hungry. These were nice people though and she didn't want to be rude, so it was either inside or out for her. "Seeing its so sunny, shouldn't we go outside?" she asked catiously to the others, hoping at least someone would hear her out here. She wasn't used to being in any form of control but at home thats all she was getting. It was stranger trying to use it on other people, especially by Tamuril's weird 'Power of suggestion' though normally it did seem to work.
Shino's motherly command made Tamuril smile more. She could remember growing up like that but she liked to see Kain's reaction to it all. He didn't seem phased in any way. Upon the suggest of going out again she decided to rejoing the convasation. "Well it is rather nice out there but Locke is bare-foot, he might hurt his feet out there, unless you have a mat or something"
"Then out on the roof?" Bethan asked desperatly, thats what she used to do as a child.
Kain looked up for a minute a little shocked. There was no-way Locke could use his wings, right? "Don't be stupid, someone could fall off up there and that would cause a lot of trouble" Tamuril said sharply but kindly to her lover. This in turn kept Bethan quiet, though Tamuril felt the slightest bit guiltly for snapping at her.

((i have the urge to draw these scenes xD oh and i figure they'll have a nice day hanging out before Dune shows up. Maybe Eri will haul out some sparklers or something. they can catch fireflys or something at night xD *thinks*))
Locke's smile grew little by little as he reached up to take Kain's hand. His eyes sparkled with curiousity as he gazed at the older Herald's beautiful wings. He wondered if his would grow to be that pretty.
"It's okay, we have shoes for him. I bet he'd like to go outside," Shino said, seeing the look of desperation on Bethan's face. She remembered back when she had mistook the woman for her 'momma', and grinned a little at the thought. Still it was nice having people like her around, and she even had a Herald too now.
Locke turned and nodded. He liked that idea. Outside was always nice.
"Sure thing! We could even have a little picnic outside!" Eri added, waltzing off and reappearing with a pair of small shoes. "Cake's already made, but I think we have the stuff to make sandwhiches!"
"Sounds good to me," Pyper replied, heading back to the kitchen to look for a basket and large blanket. She would get things ready. So apparently it was decided. Outside it was. "I'll be out there soon. You guys go ahead!" she called with a chuckle.

Kain was a little more than grateful it didm't end up in one of those long arkward silences nor a full out girly fight. He knew as much as Bethan would deny it ever since he forced Tamuril out there had been fights with the two. He shook that thought from his mind and wondered if Locke would need any help with his shoes. His skin was so soft, you could tell he was young, he was glad that the scrafice wpuldn't effect his skin just yet.
I'll help with the sandwiches if you want! Im sure we could find some fruit around here to have as well, being so close to the forest an'll" Tamuril added cheerfully to the convasation. very much forgetting what had gone on before.
Bethan shuffled her feet for a bit wondering how she could help. After a little while she came up with something "Er...How about some games? We could play snap, or hide n seek? Or just go looking for butterflies?" She asked, then realising how forward that was blushed a little, hiding her face "I'll go off and find somewhere to set up!" she said quickly leaving before anyone had time to argue.

Almost as if reading the other heralds thoughts, Locke grabbed one of the small shoes Eri had brought along with a sock, and held it a moment-unsure of what to do with it because he didn't know how to put it on himself, he held it out for Kain. Apparently he liked watching Kain's movements, the beauty of his stained-glass window wings catching the light, was entrancing. His attention was focused on them until he heard the word 'butterflies' mentioned. And just as Shino was about to tell him that 'staring was rude' he was already looking in the other direction at Bethan before she took off. "Butterflies! Butterflies!" he repeated happily.
"So then we'll look for butterflies then!" Shino said happily, her ears twitching with excitement. "I think I saw nets in the closet with those pretty bird-cage thingies that Pyper keeps them in until she lets them loose. Apparently they had done this before. Though the butterflies they caught were lost souls that needed guidance to the afterlife. Shino went to the closet and brought out the strange birdcages. "Can we use these Pyper-san?"
"Of course," she replied with a grin, watching Eri motion for Tamuril to follow her into the kitchen.
>>>> KITCHEN "You're right! Berry picking would be fun too!" She added, as she commenced a mini-tour of the kitchen as to show Tamuril where things were kept. There was a fridge of course, and rows of cabinets on the walls circling the room, with a counter in the center of it all. On the counter the cake was cooling.
>>>> OUTSIDE Dune walked through the brush, following the different sights, sounds, and scents of the forest. Once scent in particular was what had really caught his attention; baking food, cakes perhaps? He was starving, maybe there were people out here after all. And so he kept walking in the direction he thought it was coming form. ((u can decide how close he's getting to the shrine xD he doesn't have to show up yet or Bethan can run into him xD whatever u want))

Kain almost laughed at the display of joy that Locke was showing, he hadn't been like that for years and it filled him with warmth to see another like it. He tried to work out what was going on but his head was filled with the word butterflies and he found it hard to concentrate on the vibrations around him. All he knew was that three people had left and Locke was certainly still in the room - rarther excited as it turned out.
Tamuril eyes widened as she went around the kitchen, in the flat they had none as large as this, and at her real home she had never been able to set foot in the place, thanks to the servants. That was the side of life she was trying to forget though. She tried to clear her head from it all before asking a few questions. "So if its sandwiches first, then what type of sandwich does everyone eat, I know Bethan and I are fine with cheese, Kain dosn't have a preference, what about Locke?"
Bethan eyes twitched as she picked up the imformation inside, they were so loud and carefree in there she didn't need to take a lot of trouble in finding out. The mouse-girl had already found a pleasant spot in the shade, just on the edge of the woods, with a few incests fluttering and or buzzing around, but luckily enough nothing too harmful such as a wasp. The ground was still soft grass, so that did not pose any problems and there was shelter if it rained.

"Oh Locke'll eat just about anything," Eri chuckled. "He's not picky about food. As for Shino, I think she likes cheese too, and that sounds good to me. To tell ya the truth, I can sometimes be a picky eater," she blushed. It sounded a bit childish for someone her age, or at least she though. "Pyper's not picky though. She and Locke'll eat whatever's here, so it's not too hard to do grocery shopping. But there's still lots to choose from as we never know when we'll have guests," she added, gesturing towards the fridge. "Most of the sandwhich stuff is in here; different cheeses, lunch meats, and spread. And I think we have some chips. Are there any particular you like?" she asked, opening up a nearby cabinet.
~~
Shino chuckled as she watched Locke try to work on putting one shoe on as Kain helped with the other; though Locke was mostly trying to copy the older Herald as he had no clue how to put the shoes on. He fluttered his wings a little as he tried to concentrate, but he was still thinking about butterflies, and his eyes glittered as he turned to look outside, and then looked back at his semi-barefeet. (xD)
Pyper had picked up the nets and the birdcages and had moved to the door and stepped outside. She gazed around the yard until her sights landed on Bethan. She grinned, and started over.
~~~
After moving around awhile, Dune found himself tired again and stopped to take a rest. All this traveling was making him a weary soul, but until he found out more about his past he vowed to keep going.
Almost silently Kain managed to slip on Locke's left sock and managed to get a hold of the shoe again. Luckily they were only childrens shoes so no laces to wind him up with or get caught in. He slid through the soft leather and did up the buckle without too much trouble considering he, himself, never managed to wear shoes. Though as fallen messenger he had the delight of being able to see his guardian do it all. Locke wore very simular shoes to that he wore when he was abandoned. After sorting one shoe he was rather proud of himself. He grinned as if to say ' See, even blind people can put on shoes normally! ' though no-one was really around to prove it too.
"I guess cheese and ham sandwiches would suit everyone, do you think any different? Don't worry about being picky, i remember when my sister was....though i havn't seen here in a couple years now. It always makes it a little funner when preparing food." she said openly without too much thought. She opened the fridge door scanning its contents for what she needed while she waited for an answer.
Bethan waved Pyper over once they had made eye contact, moving over to help her with equipment, it didn't look particlarly heavy just hard to hold all at once.
Pyper smiled. The extra help with carrying things would make it much easier for her. "Thanks, that'd be great if you could hold onto these ones, and I'll get these..." She handed over one of the cages and anets while she swung around the other nets so she had a better grip on them. "Thanks."
Back in the kitchen, Erin was happy Tamuril didn't mind about her being a picky eater. That as good to hear. She was suprised though when Tam mentioned a sister. She hadn't mentioned family before, though neither had Pyper or Erin, so needless to say, the kitsune girl was a little curious. "Oh you have a sister?" she asked, raising a brow in interest as she helped get some ham out of the fridge.
Locke clapped his hands in excitement once his one shoe was on, almost as if he were applauding. After all, Kain had managed to do something he couldn't. He wondered if he would be able to put on his own shoes one day without help. That fact that the other herald didn't even have feet never crossed his mind. In Locke's mind they were still quite similar to each other, and he loved the other's company right off the bat.
Kain withheld a laugh, that was the first time since being a fallen herald that he had even touched a shoe. Let alone place one on and he was being praised for something, which was out of the ordinary since Tamuril left home. He put out his hand for Locke. "Shall we go out now?"
Tamuril smiled, still trying to sort out various food, though it was coming together now. "Yes, back home i have an older brother, whos left home and a younger sister. They tried to marry me off, which didn't really work out, but they managed it with my sister. She always looked up to our mother, not that we could call her that - always 'madame'."
