Some people are puzzlers/riddlers...so this thread will be for those individuals...
Anyone may add a riddle/puzzle, but they are responsible for issuing prizes for the correct answer.
Riddles/Puzzles should be relatively clean (abides by the ToS) Furthermore, grammar/spelling is important. Many riddles rely on their phrasing, so double check to make sure it's correct and easy to read.
Answers should quote the original riddle/puzzle as well as your guess. If should the riddle/puzzle need clarification about why the answer is what it is, then it is recommended that an explanation be given. This will ultimately reduce the number of complaints.
Unanswered riddles/puzzles may be deleted to further keep things organized.
If an issue arises, PM OurHeroXero about the issue and it will be resolved as quickly as possible.

Here's one to get things started...
8th Floor Meeting
You have a meeting to attend on the eighth floor of a ten story building. Unfortunately, the elevators are all out of order, so you'll have to take the stairs. It takes you 48 seconds to climb from the first floor to the fourth floor.
Assuming you keep climbing at the same speed, how long will it take you to climb to the eighth floor?
500 gold to the first person with the correct answer.

were did he get the grappling hook? He's related to Bat Man! dunna dunna dunna BAT MAN!

I'm gonna use your 19 sec per floor
is there a garage below the first floor? What if he parks his car there then there will be like 9 floors
19 x 9 = 171 sec

Nope...there's no garage. You start out in the first floor of the building. The time it takes you to climb from the first floor to the fourth is 48 seconds.
Try working it out visually, or with a model of sorts (pen and paper)

YAY ^_^ It will indeed take you 64 seconds to get to the eighth floor. Where people often mess up on this puzzle is that they count the first floor as a floor they need to climb. When in fact, you're already on the first floor. (you're on the first floor, you climb to the second (1 stair case), then from the second to the third floor (2 stair cases), then from the third to the forth (third stair case). So, if it took you 48 seconds to climb three stair cases, it took you 16 seconds a floor. (16 x 4 more floors = 64 seconds from the forth floor to the 8th ) ^_^
